Hey everyone! As a new member I’m really excited to show off my first “big moc” in a few years! I’m finally getting out of my dark age, so I wanted to start off big with a moc I’ve been wanting to build for years…a proper frigate! When I was younger, I was absolutely obsessed with MOCs like La Mort Royale, Le Requin, and the absolutely amazing HMS Prince of Wales. Never having enough pieces tho, I always just left those dreams to be fulfilled “someday”. Well, I’m finally doing it! With immense help from Captain Green Hair’s eponymous Build a Frigate tutorial, I’ve spent the past two weeks working on the main hull and body of a frigate based on those commissioned by the US Navy in the late 1790s, with inspiration taken from the likes of USS Essex, Cosntitution, Constellation, and President. As this is my first proper attempt at a frigate build, I’m very open to suggestions, especially in regard to the design of the Galleries at the stern. Super excited to share progress with you all as I go along with this project!
