  1. 1. Here it is lifting it's own trailer, fully extended, at a fairly steep angle. 2. After seeing how much real telescopic crane booms sag, I was pretty happy with the result.
  2. I have also constructed a 4-section boom that is approx. 12 plates wide and 6 studs high. 4-Section Boom
  3. I worked out a 4-stud x 4-brick 3 section boom many years ago - difficult to motorise with LA though: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=27182
  4. Australia’s LEGO convention, Brickvention, is just a few weeks away and it is now time to make that all important decision about attending the event. The weekend of LEGO-filled fun happens over the Australia Day Long Weekend (January 23rd – 25th) in Melbourne (Australia). This is the third such event in Melbourne and looks like being just as exciting as the previous years. Details of the event can be found at the website: http://www.brickventures.com Even if you can’t make it to the whole weekend, the display area is open to the public on Sunday and we’d love to see everyone there!
  5. Looks like the walking mech from 9754 (which works reasonably well).
  6. Ummm, I see at least 20 Technic bricks in the inventory ;)
  7. They work very well - I did a group of 3 for our last train layout, controlled by an RCX in the farmhouse, their heads turn as the train goes by. You can see one of the light sensors hidden in the wall.
  8. Thanks all, I have the reply I was hoping for :) ROSCO
  9. Hi, I just downloaded your LEGO smilies, and it says I need permission to use them on my site, but I can't find anywhere contact information to obtain such permission. I have just started up a forum for LEGO enthusiasts, and would like to use your smilies on it. Who should I contact? Thanks ROSCO
