  1. Am I the only one questioning why the bathroom doesn’t have a door of sorts? Like, the other side being open makes complete sense, but there being no divide between the bathroom and the rest of the middle section sorta irks me.
  2. Same, I was also sceptical about the piece count until I saw the MOC. I’ll probably be disappointed if it doesn’t turn out to be the Astronomy Tower lol. Like I get that there are other parts of the castle, but since this iteration is focused on the front silhouette it seems only logical that this would be the next set. Speaking of D2C sets I would love it if there was some sort of continuation or amalgamation of Diagon Alley. I know it’s not gonna happen but it feels like we need a D2C Leaky Cauldron. Also, with the smaller upcoming playset featuring Borgin and Burkes and Potages, plus the previous ones with Eeylops Owl Emporium and Madam Malkin’s, I feel like there’s a lot of potential for a Diagon Alley extension. I’d like to see something like the MOCs online, with two more 16×32 plates that attach to the D2C Diagon Alley set (one for each side of the street). There is a MOC of Madam Malkin’s and Potages, as well as Wiseacre’s Wizarding Equipment alongside the Leaky Cauldron, including a wall that closes off the street. Name the set ‘Leaky Cauldron and Wizarding shops’ and call it a day lol.
  3. 5 floors does sound like the right height. Also, consider how the previous Astronomy tower has a similar rectangular shape to the new Flying Lessons set. Now imagine stacking two Flying Lessons sets on top of each other. Add roughly half of another set to form the top of the tower, and you’d get a build that is 2 cm short of the main tower’s height! Since the Flying Lessons set contains 651 pieces (including the swinging wall section), and the main structure uses under 500 pieces by my count, doubling that brings the total close to the yet-unrevealed set’s 1,182 pieces. The MOC below is 813 pieces, and I think is a good indicator of what it might look like. Perhaps it could include a slightly wider rampart, more in line with the previous Astronomy tower set, and a rock facade for the bottom level instead of an entrance door. I imagine one of the floors in an official set would have to contain Trelawney’s classroom. It’s a must!
  4. Sort of let down by the interior of the Three Broomsticks. I feel like they should’ve either gone with smaller chandeliers or removed them entirely to make room for a proper second floor, with a couch and fireplace like in the smaller version. Half of it couch and fireplace, other half toilet. It just seems odd to me that there are separate rooms at the very top (very crammed) and McGonagall is standing on that small section of the second floor (if you can even call it that) where the fireplace is. Unless the pictures aren’t doing it justice, the whole layout feels off.
  5. It would be great to have the astronomy tower! At first, I didn't understand how it could fit into the castle silhouette based on the layout of the castle seen in the movies. I imagined it would have to be it's own separate build (like the owlery or the flying lessons set). However, based on this previous LEGO set and this other pic (there are other ones online), I'm assuming it could connect to the viaduct entrance. It'll just be closer to the other buildings and the bridge that connects the main tower set to the viaduct entrance.
