  1. How often did you tap into the common drive axle?
  2. Thanks for the help. Has anyone considered building the Bucket Wheel Tower using 28 tooth and 36 tooth double bevel gears instead of the 24 tooth and 40 tooth traditional Technic gears? They have the same axle spacing. I was wondering which combo might have the least backlash for a tall continuous build. Might try both and see.
  3. Hi guys. I'm new here, but planning a large lift build of multiple stacked copies of the Bucket Wheel Tower. But I'm finding some discrepancies between available instructions and their associated parts lists: 1. AKIYUKI'S BUILD On Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10JQkulD-UI No build instructions or parts list. 2. BLAKBIRD'S BUILD Post at: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/117305-gbc-the-akiyuki-project-2010-2020/&do=findComment&comment=2391520 Instructions are at: https://www.bricksafe.com/files/blakbird/Renders/MOCs/bucket-tower/Akiyuki Bucket Wheel Tower.pdf The parts list in the post is no longer available, but it is downloadable in .bsx format in this Bricksafe folder: https://bricksafe.com/pages/blakbird/Renders/MOCs/bucket-tower. However, the .bsx parts list will not upload to Bricklink due to invalid parts. The .io file is available, and Brick Engineering used it to output a parts list for me, but I am finding part quantities that don't make sense. 3. 9VSYSTEM'S BUILD Post at https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-94734/9vsystem/gbc-akiyuki-bucket-tower-with-descender/#details No pdf instructions for those of us on Chromebooks, but .io file is available. And parts inventory is available at https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-94734/9vsystem/gbc-akiyuki-bucket-tower-with-descender/#parts 4. BRICK ENGINEERING'S BUILD YouTube video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAToSQuzXjQ Associated Rebrickable page is no longer active. No parts list or instructions. 5. LEGO GBC NL'S BUILD YouTube video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIDg-PF25f0 No instructions or parts list, but additional photos are in this Bricksafe folder: https://bricksafe.com/pages/Lego_GBC_NL/lego-gbc/bucket-wheel-tower-akiyuki-2013 THE DISCREPANCIES: 1. A Lego bar is used in the back of the bucket of Akiyuki's build, the instructions from Blakbird, and Lego GBC NL's build. But Brick Engineering's build, 9vsystems' build, and the animations from Blakbird show a 4M technic axle used in that position instead. The part inventory of 9vsystem's build does not include the Lego bars. I am assuming that the 4M axles work just fine at the back of the buckets in lieu of the Lego rods? 2. There are qty 4 red 3x5 L-shape quarter ellipse piece PN 32250 used in each bucket arms, which means builds with 6 buckets (Akiyuki, Lego GBC NL, Blakbird) will use 24 of them. But when Brick Engineering pulled the contents from Blakbird's .io file for me, it listed qty 38 of this part. So in summary there appears to be several discrepancies in the Blakbird instructions vs parts lists vs animations. I'm just trying to get an accurate parts list with matching instructions that will allow me to order all parts from Bricklink for this build, and then build it reliably. It appears that 9vsystem's build has corrected some issues that were found during the build, so maybe I should go with that one? It's actually the only parts list I have access to, since I am currently using a Chromebook and cannot open an .io file while I am on travel. Thanks everyone!
