Hi, One mission of the past weeks was to use up left Dark Blue parts... after Orient Express, Blue Lightning etc. I already was fed up with it. I still wanted to add one ÖBB favourite to my collection - however, using a different concept than the monstrous Blue Lightning. So, I tried to build a class 4010 "Transalpin" EMU in classic 6w format. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/ÖBB_4010 One condition for that was being able to design the front properly - which I think turned out nicely. You can recognize it from any angle. I managed to show the most important details (the croissant in the dining car can be imagined as a Schnitzel ;-)) Also from my childhood I remember the Vienna Local Railway EMUs from Cologne: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/WLB_Kölner In 8w size: A few remaining windows were put into a large couchette car.

Hi, If you are looking for more advanced programming you can take a look at Pybricks: https://pybricks.com You need to load the firmware once to each hub, then you can run Pybricks programs on them. Downside is you need to load the program each time you turn on the hub. For multiple traction you can for example couple multiple hubs copying each other in several distributed locomotives. Also, you can get much smoother control.

Hi, Thanks, guys! :-) @Phil B I use what I have in store, the orange car, DMU and 2050 are mostly Lego bricks, other less so. These vehicles especially were built to use up some reserves. Otherwise: Please tell me what forum to go to for people who don't have thousands of Euros extra to spend for partly inferior quality and some parts even not available. All known forums declare themselves as "Lego", although we are in the year 2025 with many legal competitors on the brick market which are free to any consumer like us to choose from. Also, I often see digital models, not people actually building stuff. I only build models by hand, without any plans. It's easy to talk without having to spend the money. Not sure what the point is of people policing forums, do you want the see the models or not? I myself am running a forum as well, and I never would annoy people with such pettiness ;-) By the way, I am on more than 200 Bricklink orders in the past 5 years, I think I am paying my due to the Danish company ;-) @Ashi Valkoinen Thanks, I am from Vienna and know Hungary well as a railfan, that might explain it :-) As you might have seen, I also built "Brickabest Keleti" :0) I only know Bluebrixx as a reliable train window source, you can buy part packs there, some colors only come with certain cars. Dark red is available: https://www.bluebrixx.com/de/prod/606988/train-window-frame-1x4x3-x-25 I don't know any clone bricks, there are just several brick companies out there offering their products, like on any other market for any other product. You would not call all smartphones "iPhone-Clones", wouldn't you? ;-)

Hi, Somehow building mania got hold of me the past weeks :0) I wanted a fitting freight train for the Orient Express, so I built a MÁV III / 335: https://hu.wikipedia.org/wiki/MÁV_335_sorozat The boiler of the loco is so low, the main construction is carried by the long Technic bricks outside of the driving wheels. Drive is provided by two Cada M-motors, the cables are led to the hub inside the tender below the cab. Luckily I found two fitting custom driving rods in my storage. I had the small blind drivers on the tender only in red - so, for the first time I just dunked pieces into paint. It does not matter too much, they are almost completely covered by other pieces in the model anyway. The narrow gauge train (proper 4-wide brick narrow gauge) with class U will be presented elsewhere. Finally, I managed to use the flippers as suspension springs as planned for a long time. The first car behind the engine is loosely based on one used for transporting milk preserved at the Austrian railway museum Straßhof. The milk barrels are mostly made of Hogwarts tower parts. Variant MÁV IIIe is displayed as JŽ 125-052 in front of Zagreb main station (my photo, taken in October 2003). The milk car behind a class 30 (also in my brick portfolio :-)) at Tauchen-Schaueregg (my photo, taken in October 2004). "Vindobona" addon-package for the ÖBB "Blue Lightning" DMU previously shown here, including ČSD class M 296.1 DMU, ÖBB class 2050 Henschel-GM diesel locomotive, orange ÖBB UIC-X AB and dark green two-axled "Spanten"-carriages, as well as dark green ČSD GDR Görlitz-built UIC-Y cars. The window partition at the front of the class M 296.1 was done by stickers. One side features red doors (remaining parts from Schlieren cars), the other a completely tan window section. Both liveries are historically accurate. Since then, I changed the headlights to regular 1x2 plates for a more square shape. https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motorové_vozy_852_a_853 The front decoration of the class 2050 is a dark green sticker on white tiles. The upper parts of the sides are tilted inwards by hinges. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/ÖBB_2050 In comparison to the pics above I shortened the roof 1 stud and lowered it. The Spanten car roofs have been changed to Light Bluish Gray. I tried out two UIC-Y roof variants, both weigh a ton. Thanks to a forum user I could get a third Mould King car for my Orient Express train (we split it - 110€ from a yourwobb EU warehouse. I already mentioned that the Orient Express features some of the best value/price ratio) - including 4 pure MOCs it is now a 7-car-Orient Express :0) This car is also more MOC than MOD. The side walls and roof follow the instructions in principle, the rest does not. For weight reasons, this car only received a spartan interior. I took the Helmet Ninja Horn Elaborate 11437 as CIWL sign. The other car of same build with interior. A chain of fairy lights (1€/piece on Amazon) lights the hallway and the compartment of the girl. Funwhole/Lumibricks was not known yet at the time of building, now I could improve the lighting with specialized parts. The luggage nets are football goals 23969pb004. My favourite is the leg stretched outside the bed :0) The full-length dining car with fake three-axled bogies. One light chain is illuminating each side. Passengers will only arrive later after departure. ;-)

Hi, Very nice model! :-) But are you sure about the gear connection, shouldn't it be the other way round (small gear attached to the motor, large to the wheels). This way you take away a lot of of torque and I am not sure the wheels need to turn that fast...

As mentioned, the 6w models were commercially bought (apart from the modded front of the 1044), so these are MODs not MOCs :-)

There are some LEGO bricks, some others, as I almost completely rebuilt most of it... especially with Red it is quite difficult to match colors as different batches feature different shades of red...
