I said inspired. The batwing, black bat-suit, Joker wearing the purple fedora while using the long gun, the similarities are there. The batwing has that little grippy feature that was used to gather the balloons at the end of the film too. Plus that steamroller could easily pass for a parade float (a parade float of death but thats perfect for the Joker) I can practically hear the Prince music.

I'd argue that joker steamroller set from back then was largely inspired off the final battle in the '89 movie

I need to rant about the 89 batmobile and batwing sets: I'm so tired of the same set over and over, and I share the opinion of everyone when I say I'm tired of no diverse minifigs. The 89 batmobile set is so annoying to me because essentially a large portion of all lego batmobiles that we've ever gotten have in some part been inspired by the 89 batmobile, so by the time we finally get an official system scale set based on it, it just perpetually feels like the same build from the previous years. The mask piece used for batman in that set doesn't work for this version of batman AT ALL. it is too stylized and animated. I'm happy it looks phenomenal on the 90's animated series sets at least. Speaking of, I think I'll just use that set as my 89 representation, seeing as how that movie directly inspired that show. The blue batmobile to me is more visually interesting to look at anyway. They could have given us more characters/variants from the 89 movie and included builds that referenced Ace chemicals, the museum, the cathedral, SOMETHING to justify the price and make it stand out in the sea of batmobile sets. Sorry for the long rant of a year old set, but it frustrates me so much because Michael Keaton Batman is my favorite. It makes me almost wish that flash set came out because at least the figures would've been cool P.S. even if all my complaints were remedied...the prices still suck 😂

is it bad that I only got the new Surtur set because it was Thor themed, and not because I like Ragnarok? I actually don't like the last 2 thor movies 😅 the set is awesome though. I kinda just pretend surtur is a Destroyer

I just want more thor sets in general, because I REFUSE to buy the Love and Thunder sets 😂 I drool just thinking about what this hypothetical Asgard set could be. I imagine a brick built destroyer, rainbow bridge, tall gold towering landscapes....ugh I gave a mighty need

Do you guys think that the next D2C could possibly be Asgard? I think we got most of the major buildings out of the way (Daily Bugle, Sanctum, X Mansion, Avengers Tower) The only other option that is missing to me for obvious potential buildings is the Baxter building Edit: I forgot about Oscorp

apparently, Spider-Man is included in the civil war battle set, many of us already assumed that but it is nice to have confirmation. I was worried he was going to be released in an expansion set similar to the NWH one

I imagine they will do a semi repackage of the batmobile for the part 2 sets, unless it genuinely does have a different design. I hope the rumors of clayface and Mr freeze are true

Do you guys think we will get The Batman Part 2 sets? I hope so since the first movie got a lot of lego love

Set pictures have leaked the Baxter building too/some launch pad base. That could be a cool set too

for a fantastic 4 movie set, I would bet a lot of money that we get that retro fantasticar as a set, the one that was shown at SDCC

So the civil war diorama will include brick built giant man and a small quinjet. 8 figures, 4 of which are known to be Iron Man, Captain America, Scarlet Witch, and Black Widow

well Dr.Doom in the MCU will be Robert Downey Jr. I can't wait for Avengers Doomsday sets Avengers Doomsday comes out in May of 2026 Imagine how Peter is going to react fighting someone who looks like his mentor 😨

Does anyone here ever buy 2 versions of the same set? One to build and one to keep in the box? I don't plan on selling the sealed one I just like keeping it around in case the first one gets lost/stolen/or damaged in any way shape or form. Is that weird? I started doing it because of how sets get price gouged once they retire
