I guess that's not the final version of the baby scale monorail? I see this monorail has a lot of old discontinued pieces. They didn't include the base for the Galaxy Explorer. They could have had a base and sell it for maybe $175-$200, but they didn't do that. I would like to see it as a playset, but I don't have too much hope. The original was $155, which is $426 today. It will be an 18+ set as is the case for most nostalgic sets. How many adult sets do they have as play sets now? For the Orient Express or the 18+ Harry Potter train you don't have it going around in a circle as you do with the Lego City trains. They also would need to get new monorail tracks. The original 1987 Monorail needed tracks made by another company and that's part of why it was so expensive. I don't think the roller coaster tracks would blend as well and I think they should get new tracks altogether.

We probably will get the other colors. Lego knows that they could make profits off of classic space figures in different colors. They did stuff like place helmets in some $250 or $300 sets so people can complete their space figures. I agree. Although I think as far as large sets go, they will probably look at fan favorites. I think the 1987 Monorail is probably second to the Galaxy Explorer. I wouldn't be surprised if they release it eventually, but it will probably be a display piece that you can put on a shelf rather than a playset like the original. I saw two or three recent images of it on Lego's Instagram page.

The reason why I'm suspicious is because it's not just one post but multiple posts: LEGO (@lego) • Instagram photos and videos LEGO (@lego) • Instagram photos and videos LEGO (@lego) • Instagram photos and videos LEGO (@lego) • Instagram photos and videos Maybe it could be just posting it at random. However, I don't see them posting older sets like city, technic, pirate, castle, etc.

I saw Lego was posting some Classic Space stuff on their Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/p/C6JZU0dLC6l/ There are a few links like this one. Does anyone think Lego is hinting that we will be getting more Classic Space sets soon? They hinted Classic Space a few times on their Instagram page.

We'll have to see. Lego released portraits of Elvis and the Beatles. Did they sell well among fans of those music artists? There's a strong chance that I would not buy it if I were a fan of Pharrell. My brother likes Star Wars but hasn't bought any Star Wars sets.

How do you know it's licensed? The upcoming movie is being produced by The Lego Group. I don't know if Lego still needs a license. The ship is fairly small and the around size of the Blacktron Cruiser. The description of this being a 'big black ship' is wrong.
-
He is famous for his song Happy which has a billion views. He also will be having his own Lego movie, but I don't know how well the movie will go. If people like the movie than potentially people will overlook the price of the spaceship. Where did you learn that it was licensed. When Brickclicker first announced that there will be a large black spaceship, he said that it will be unlicensed. I heard Pharrell Williams will be collaborating with Lego for an upcoming movie.,

I agree. I was speculating on whether it would be the Blacktron 2 Aerial Intruder or the Blacktron Renegade because of the description of being a 'black spaceship with two mini-figures'. I am very disappointed. It looks like it is close in size to the Blacktron Cruiser. The original description of this being a 'large black ship' is wrong. Maybe it will look larger with that colorful stand that they put it on. Can you believe that this spaceship is more expensive than the Galaxy Explorer? With the Galaxy Explorer you had like 1,200 pieces and you can do a whole lot more with it.
-
I agree. I would not buy this set if it was for $60. Maybe $30. It actually looks like it's the same size as the Blacktron Cruiser. You can probably do more with the Blacktron Cruiser.
-
Welcome to the club. Last Janurary I was speculating that it could be Blacktron 1 or 2. To my surprise, the spaceship looks close in size to the Blacktron Cruiser.
-
I can't find this Pharell Williams spaceship. Does anyone have a link?
-
Does anyone think that we'll get the mini rocket set again? I was never able to get around to it and now it's $65 or $70 on Ebay. I also see that we'll be getting the Icons set 10350 in December. Does anyone know what it could be? I'm hoping it will be a space set, but I have no idea what it could be.

I actually have my own Facebook group called the Lego Space System: Lego Space System Group | Facebook The Space System is this subline: LEGO Space System | Brickset
-
I agree. Maybe we need to do something like start a group on Facebook? I'm all for Classic Space updates. The Galaxy Explorer 10497 is one of my favorite sets. I also love the Blacktron Cruiser GWP. I would love to see more update sets like this.
-
Probably the angle. Generally with GWP sets, Lego doesn't use new pieces exclusive to the sets.
-
You're right. As an adult collector, I'm more critical about the details of the sets. There was still stuff missing in the original Classic Space sets. I don't like a lot of Lego buildings because a lot of them don't have walls or a back. A lot of two story buildings don't have staircases. I was a huge fan of the 10497 Galaxy Explorer because of how detailed it was. I'm now waiting for Lego to release something that has as much detail as this set. I'm disappointed that we haven't yet had another Space reimagining set like the Galaxy Explorer or the Blacktron Cruiser this year.
-
There is no inside. It should be renamed the Alien Space Diner Floor.
-
Is there a chance we could get more this year, or is everything leaked are all we are going to get?
-
Thanks for the list. Will that be all for this year, or will there be more in the next half of the year?
-
I was wondering if we will be getting any new space sets for these year that we still haven't seen images of? The only set I know of now is the Space Diner GWP. Is there anything else we should be expecting later this year that is space related?
-
I watch Brick Clicker all the time. He is very trustworthy, and the leaks are mostly true. There have been many leaks that became true many months later. In this case he just made a small error.
-
It's a mistake. I just wrote to Brick Clicker and he said that his yellow space figure description was an error.
-
That's what I was suggesting. Maybe it's only a coincidence and has nothing to do with the 60th anniversary?
-
I was wrong about Lego publicly celebrating 60 years of space. However, this year is unusually space themed. Maybe it's a coincidence?
-
I'm confused about this too. I hope that it will be a yellow classic space figure since I don't own any. Do you know where the sources are? I know Brick Clicker was talking about it earlier, but I can't find where he found that source. I know he's a very reliable source. He does do revise the descriptions when new information comes out.
