  1. Please Rufus give us some info. I'm curious, what's the hold up?
  2. Thanks Kosta! I used Google Earth in order to make the building and the surroundings as close to the real as possible.
  3. Maybe you're right. Still, even though I am sure my entry is not in the top 5, I so want to see the results... But let the judges take their time, it's for the best.
  4. Where are the results? Did I miss something? I am really anxious about them. It was such a great contest!!!
  5. I thought the reason is that being longer than cubes they are easier to handle with our fingers...
  6. Yes, Thodoris it is! I remember my grandfather had given to me many Gi JOE as a gift and I use to play for hours (however not even close to LEGO) with my brothers. As for the taxes, you are right, it's totally unfair. There are not many LEGO collectors in Greece but we are trying to form a group these days...to know each other and such.
  7. Yeah, I also had some of these cool ideas ;-) Or as I said to my friends "Didn't all of you wanted to break the parliament building to pieces? "
  8. Greek Easter was just two days before...so I made this: Minifigure: Roman soldier Theme: Historic You can take a closer look: Jesus on cross by ted.nick, on Flickr
  9. That's true but I think that TLG's Architecture sets have bigger size than the Landmark ones. So you may want to consider just putting a size limit.
  10. I second that. It was nice to see such variety but it makes it hard to judge
  11. Hi Tria! (Quite a strange name, considering that Tria in Greek means "three", I guess it's not your real name, right? ) There is a Greek guy making Lego movies, maybe you'd like to check it out http://www.youtube.com/user/pivotskater95?feature=uploademail_ch Also, GI JOE were great, I had many of them as a child...
  12. Wow!!! That's almost a miracle! So real...
  13. Yes, but when exactly is this? The voitng thread opened at 11:21 PM (GMT?) and says "This voting thread will remain open for approximately one week"
  14. Thank you, that means a lot to me coming from you. I saw some of your mocs and I'm impressed!
  15. When does the voting period end?
  16. I think it's very close to the real building. you gave some clean & clever solutions. Good luck with the contest!
  17. welcome to eurobricks Steph77. Yeah.that helicopter was impressive, can't wait to see more Mocs from you!
  18. definitely a welcomed change. Stop-motion animators will love it too I think...
  19. I would prefer to see a castle line where there is no limit to imagination, than LOTR. I didn't even liked the fantasy ones (sceletons or those green minifigures which I don't know how they're called) Sets like the medieval market, or the mill I think where the best because peasants where included. I'd love to see something like that...
  20. I am not in any Guild. When I first read about it, it seemed a very good idea to me and I was hooked. However I gave up early because: It took me a lot of time to understand how it works. I haven't too much free time I didn't really liked the story, a bit dull for my taste I don't know if things have change now but I would be interested in: Small challenges with small prizes A clear point system A more competitive storyline, maps, badges e.t.c. Guilds in another (not licensed) theme like Pirates, Western maybe or City(!) I know that moderators are already giving their best so those are more of a wish than a demand
  21. Forgive me if I am wrong, but last time I checked, The Great Pyramid of Giza was in Egypt and I see that the map is empty there. Did aliens took it away? That would be horrible!!!
  22. That's true. You can see some very nice details of the building in this page http://akrokerama.blogspot.com/2011/11/blog-post_6792.html please take a look.
  23. I miss alternate models from the back of the box too. I also don't like the fact that there are so many licenced series these days (this year in particular)
  24. Welcome home son
