  1. But thats what Im doing. Every time I do this both things start flashing white light and then the light stops completely.
  2. But I did connect the hub first and remote second, it doesnt even work any other way. Thats why I was surprised setting it to hub 2 worked when its actually hub 1. I really have no idea why. And how do you connect the remote to the hub without the app? Im pretty sure I tried it when I got it but since I have given up, there must have been something not working for me. EDIT: Ive just tried connecting the remote to the hub without the app, it doesnt work at all. And when I use the app to connect the hub and then try to connect the remote without the app, it doesnt work either. So for me the app is the only way it seems.
  3. So I did a thorough examination and there really was a mistake in my code. That infinite loop thingy was added to the end of the sequence rather than combined with the middle part of the code and also for some reason I had to change hub 1 to hub 2, even though I connected the hub first and only then connected the remote. In any case, its working now, so many thanks my dude.
  4. This is some high level sorcery. Ima check it out later and see what went wrong in there. Its always the little things that screw up the entire thing.
  5. I have thought about this several times and I cant imagine how a child could do anything worthwile with this user interface. You would literally have to use all the blocks in all the variations which could take hundreds of hours just to see what they do. A lot of wasted time for no reason. I hate just thinking about it. Lets move on. Ah so I wasnt stupid after all. Or at least not that stupid. As a sidenote, why did you include the remote control block in the code when it does nothing and only the play button does things? Is it supposed to work or not?
  6. Yeah I heard about it, it allows some new features too, like connecting the PS4 controller and stuff. I remember there being something I had to do first to make it work and I didnt want to bother with that yet. I will definitely give it a try in the future tho.
  7. Im familiar with the app in the way that people give me instructions and I copy them lmao. The app is so user unfriendly I cant get anything done. Literally zero explanation of anything in there, just pictures that dont tell me anything. I had to find block descriptions online just to know what the hell the blocks even do. It feels so much better using grown-up programming software that actually tells you what it does :D. Anyway, back to the point, so far the code you provided only powers the motor when I press the play button and nothing reacts to any remote input whatsoever. Also, theoretically speaking, will this ensure a smooth motor control or are we just doing a +50 -50 kind of thing?
  8. Looks like rocket science to me, but I will give it a go for sure. Thanks a lot.
  9. Lego Move Hub, the big one with 2 motors and the official PoweredUp app.
  10. I can easily use hub motors using virtual joypads, however nothing happens when I replace the joypad blocks with remote control blocks. How do I go about it? I want the motors to run as long as a button is held, just like it works with the joypads.
  11. I know about this thread, but it doesnt have any links to directly buy whatever is on there. you still have to get the individual pieces somewhere somehow.
  12. Thanks for a fast reply. I'm looking for a basic steering axle, hopefully with some suspension, to which I would then only add my motor to make the left and right turns. In other words, the axle itself should not be motorised, it should have literally everything except the motor, which I will add later. So you say some of the supercars have it like that?
  13. I'm looking for a motorized front axle sets, or more specifically, for sets that already have a front axle (with suspension preferably) that can turn by adding the motor I own. Any tips? I would even rather buy just the axle itself but I cant find that either, always just a lot of different parts that someone puts together on a website but not the whole thing for sale.
  14. Thanks for the tip. Looks like what Ive been looking for but damn it looks so complicated. If anyone knows a solution with just a few parts, it would be most welcome.
  15. I have a powered up hub with 2x2 motors (+1 extra motor for steering) and I really dont like how close the hub motor axles are to the ground. Can someone help me make some kind of suspension, or not even suspension just extension so that the wheels of my RC car can still be controlled with the motors but they are not directly on the default axles? See the picture below of what it looks like and what I want it to look like:
  16. Yes, thank you. Like I said yesterday, the problem was that I didn't switch to controller mode for testing. I didn't even think about it since I was literally using no buttons.
  17. Interesting. I only used the AB as an example, I'm actually using C for steering, but it's definitely good to know. Luckily the AB motors are included in the move hub itself so I won't have problems with them I believe.
  18. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Also, you may be bugged, but I'm not and AB is working for me now. And do you want to know why it didn't work for me before? Because I was in the code menu, not the controller menu :D Facepalm moment right there.
  19. Sure, here it is. None of these 2 options do anything.
  20. Yes, but they're not doing anything. At least not when I replace the joystick code block with one of these. Thanks. So far it hasn't detected any of my devices, will try later with different ones.
  21. Does anyone know how to make my lego powered up car steer using my phone/tablet? I have found the 2 coding blocks in there, one for vertical tilt and one for horizontal tilt, but neither of them does anything. Do I need any extra sensor for it to work? My car uses the powered up (boost) hub, external powered up motor and sensor of color and distance. And as for bonus question, how do I make the car steer using my playstation gamepad or any other gamepad?
  22. Ah, cool, thanks. I thought the last 2 motors to the right were the same thing like the other motors except they had the loop inside them. Now I see the purpose is different too.
  23. Its not visible. But the link works. And what difference is there between the first thign and the thign with the loop? Is it just the same thing but using the proper block the first time vs using a primitive block and wroking around its limitations? BTW, after my last reply I successfully tested my car using the first technique and had the first proper test run after all these months, so thank you so much again. They should really improve on documentation and tutorials. Or maybe someone with a youtube account can make a video about this? It would be the only one with the current version anyway.
