  1. Best: 1. Harry Potter (2018) The fact we finally got Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw robes is enough to put this at number one for me. So many asks and locations we had hoped for in the 2010 revival that went unanswered were answered between 2 CMF series and plethora of playsets that have come out. I think it also managed to toe the line between playsets and display pieces really well (although the classroom books/ house banner phase was weird) 2. Lord of the Rings. I might have put it higher except that many characters had already been represented before and are still missing some big players in this new line. Also wish there were some cheaper offerings. Love the detailed display pieces but I think there is room for more affordable sets, especially as army builders. 3. Pirates of the Caribbean. As someone who was so close to just MOC'ing my own Black Pearl, I was so happy to see this series come back. I think its a gorgeous build with nice characters (outside of Cotton missing his vest). I only hope it isn't a one and done and we get more ships for this line. The fact it is almost always on backorder makes me hope sales are high and not just lack of quantity. Worst: 1. Stranger Things. The first set was amazing and the Creel House feels like a cheaply thrown together set with inaccurate minifigures to boot. A more detailed house with more detailed and accurate characters would have made it a better investment. 2. DC. As a DC fan, I am so tired of the over reliance on Batman. Where is the Watchtower, the Hall of Justice, the Hall of Doom, the Daily Planet? The universe is so large but it feels like we only ever get love and attention to Batman. So disappointing when it arguably had one of the best waves in 2015 and never matched that level again. 3. Indiana Jones. I was rooting for this to make a larger comeback but alas, only 3 sets out of a planned 4. The Raiders diorama set is one of my all time favorite sets with being an interactive display model that I wish they would try and do more. I just feel like its too much of a risk with the current image and marketing strategies of the company but a Club Obi Wan, Flying Wing fight set, or a Venice set would have been appreciated.
  2. I think we are realizing just how much of a bubble we are in given HOW prominent the buildable figures are. There things must be doing huge numbers. I could cross my fingers they come with some minifigures included but not sure there is much of a trend to justify that hope.
  3. Could add Isabelle and Steve from Minecraft to the roster. Plus Pikachu with the molded figure coming in the same pokeball set. Hopefully a Peach and Luigi accompany Mario but otherwise I imagine Pokemon might be more reasonable fighters to hope for.
  4. Haven't seen it pop up on any other sites, but 2027 rumor is a buildable Eeyore and buildable Judy and Nick from Zootopia. If true, seems Lego Disney is really committing to the buildable figure design style for non Princess sets.
  5. The Friends line has, in my opinion, been knocking it out the park since the 2023 reboot and I'm just puzzled why the Disney Princess sets haven't seen the same bump in quality? The micro doll builds are just creepy and selling a whole display feels a waste. And how many times can they iterate on Elsa's Ice Castle, now with roller coaster? I'm just wondering if Disney is that controlling on the products they put out or if there is such a divide in the core Friends line and whoever designs the licensed minidoll sets.
  6. 43305: Piglet's Birthday Fun. - $40. I wouldn't expect more than a Piglet and Pooh but what are the odds we get Christopher Robin here or just Eeyore again? Unlike the 18+ Pooh set, I think its safe to assume this will be minifigur, no?
  7. Speed Champions Lightning McQueen revealed. Have to say, between the Wall-E and Eve and now this, the Pixar buildables are killing it. Love how they captured his grin so well in brick form
  8. The Disney Princess short dropped. It acts as a promo/story for the Princess Market Adventure set which is odd given how soon its retiring. Wonder if there was a delay and the short was intended to come out sooner. Anywho, the buildable Chernabog has me yearning for a real one. Going to try and break it down in studio. Black pieces can't be too hard to come by.
  9. I'm going to choose to live in my delusions of a set for Winnie the Pooh despite the very reasonable idea of a buildable figure. I would happily compromise for a book nook instead. Edit: I know it wouldn't be the case given the set numbers, but I suppose they could do a book nook without Disney's involvement since all of the Winnie-the-Pooh books are public domain now. Wouldn't need to pay for any licensing for the 100 acre wood
  10. New Leaks out: 43300: Winnie the Pooh - $149 43301: Slinky Dog Book Ends $149 43290: Kevin and Dug $59 43288: Sally's Flower Pot $49.99 (Minidoll) Happy to see the minidoll options are expanding beyond just the princesses to more parts of the studio like with Villains and now Sally. I think the Dug and Kevin will be like Wall-E and Eve. But that Winnie the Pooh set....be still my heart they're finally picking it back up. Hoping it's Rabbit's House and Garden or just a more general 100 Acre Wood set with Kanga, Roo, Owl, and Christopher Robin in there somehow.
  11. If we don't count Andy and Sid, I would say yes. Although a good point raised is that the book nooks/book ends Lego has been putting out come with minifigures. Do we think Lego will break that trend with Slinky Dog or do we think we could get some figures in the set too? Not sure who they would put with the 30th set still on shelves. Maybe Rex, Hamm, and some Army men to round out the rest of Andy's Toys?
  12. With the new leak, I'm going to imagine the $149 is the Slinky Dog Book ends. How odd Lego is putting time into book nooks and book ends but we never got a follow up to the Disney Villain bookends from a few years ago.
  13. a $149 Disney classic and $149 Pixar set. I assume this wouldn't be the larger minifigure sets we've been getting in March/April and the price could suggest a larger buildable Marie. Unsure of what the Pixar one would be. A build able Dug?
  14. Anyone else bothered Elphaba doesn't have a cape in either of the minifigure sets? Or any set for that matter
  15. With the new Lion mold for Wicked, what is the possibility of Lego repurposing it into a Simba or Mufasa in the future?
