  1. I threw FalconBricks list in here earlier and found it interesting that while a few of the new sets we have learned about aren't yet listed, they have put Jabbas Throne Room in as 75357. It wasn't there last i checked so its a new addition. Did this news subtly break? Edit: 1400 pieces seems a bit peculiar but maybe Lego is trying to evolve the diorama sets to be a bit bigger like the new Indy Golden Idol set being 1500 pieces for $150 while still fitting that diorama vibe.
  2. https://falconbricks.com/category/starwars/ the list I've been going by. FalconBricks is legit.
  3. probably not any time soon. we haven't even seen may stuff yet
  4. THIS. So far all the sets that are sporting the 40th Anniversary box art are so loosely related. I mean sure the Tie Bomber and the Executor show up in the movie, but most people associate those two ships with ESB. Luke is in his X-Wing for less than a minute when he's going off to Dagobah. Whatever. It would have made more sense to honor the anniversary, and yes they should do their best to honor it if they're going to go the lengths to make box art and put it on sets they deem appropriate, by making sets that are distinctly ROTJ. Jabba, Endor, etc. I guess we will have to see what these May dioramas bring!
  5. Rex has already come in a set with Luminara. I don't think it's as farfetched as you're making it out to be. Patterns don't mean anything though
  6. that argument doesn't really hold up seeing that the razor crest, millenium falcon, and at-at are all on shelves with ucs and playsets available. Gunship is possible, but i think its going to be an OT set.
  7. I'm not trying to get people riled up. It was my understanding that there is word the ToD has been pushed back to August due to improvements being needed to strengthen the structural integrity of the build. I'll leave it at that though, this is a Star Wars thread. lol
  8. The only way 75357 could be Jabba's Throne Room is if the set was completely redesigned and is no longer part of the diorama series. There are pros to this for sure as we would likely see more figs and hopefully the addition of the mind-boggling previously rumored absence of Salacious B. Crumb. However, I just don't think this is the case. It would not make sense for Lego to have this and Boba's Throne Room on shelves at the same time and at two high price points. If Jabba's TR was to become a nearly 1400 piece playset, it would probably have to run in the neighborhood of $150. Idk about this move if I'm Lego. LifeBricks, obviously take this however you want and with a grain of salt, is suggesting at timestamp 11:51 that there is a leaked image of the original 600-700 piece Throne Room meaning the set went through some phases of production. From this, if true, we can conclude the set is more likely delayed, much like how Temple of Doom is turning out to be, rather than cancelled. I am on copium life support in regards to this set as many are, too. Just know that you are not alone lmao.
  9. How do you draw that Jabba's Palace will be the large set from that information
  10. will be a rotj recreation, so no it will probably not.
  11. If you really wanna get technical, I am of the camp that Maul is still the rightful owner since it was stolen from him without being won in combat thus rendering every other transaction after meaningless but also the Luke theory makes sense too.
  12. Given the current state of affairs, Jabba's Throne Room is going to have to come out of nowhere if its coming out this year. Nothing left that fits it unless some of the set number/piece counts are wrong. They've changed around quite a bit since the birth of this list so anything could happen. If it's delayed, I personally don't see the point in releasing next year, after the fact of the 40th ROTJ and selling as well. However, bear with me, what if the Emperor's Throne Room has been a dud this whole time and Jabba's will take it's spot? There have been 2 of these sets in the last couple years and it always seemed a bit over the top to release it in a diorama format for the same price that it was on shelves for 2 years ago. The price and piece count would certainly make more sense for Jabba's TR. The previous 630 pc count could have been misleading since it was bound to the SSD and I always found it a bit too good to be true we'd get all of that for $70. All I'm saying is that 807 pieces and $100 seems way more appropriate for a Jabba's Throne Room set with a molded figure rather than a set that was on shelves two separate times in the last 7 years.
  13. What exactly did he say? At the end of the day, there are only a handful of people I can solidly trust so this random little page being boosted by lifebricks doesn't exactly fit my criteria but then again this has been a cluster f*ck of a leak season so i have an open mind
  14. The piece count makes no sense tbh. I don't think a Jabba diorama could be more than 1000 pieces. Source? If this is true, neither are Jabba's since diorama's are 18+. Piece counts are also just a little too high, but 1083 is more likely than 1394.
  15. I said this on reddit last night and was nearly crucified my personal guess is either gunship or ghost Edit: could also totally just be some random OT set because we know how lego rolls with that
  16. Yeah i feel, but the three they gave us are really good, especially the Golden Idol. All priced phenomenally, too. Alright that's enough Indy on the SW thread lol.
  17. But now there is word that Temple of Doom is set for August and was delayed due to structural issues with the rails. MandR said a source informed it was in Target's database for August.
  18. BrickClicker, who was the original source, is now backing the rumor that Jabba's Throne Room is cancelled. I know it was just a rumor, but Lego sucks so hard for that.
  19. Could also be a Jabba related set (plenty of potential for minifigures) which could explain why they maybe scrapped the throne room diorama apparently, but that $650 price point is still the most confusing thing with this rumor so far. All good ideas and I guess time will tell :D
  20. I think a Ghost is completely appropriate considering the Ahsoka show, coming late summer, will more than likely feature it since we know Hera will be a supporting character. Maybe not quite UCS yet I suppose, but the 1083pc mystery set could certainly be a re-worked play scale Ghost for $139.99. My leading suspicion is still a new DS2. It is a big piece count increase from the 2005 one but techniques and detailing have certainly evolved and the old version is completely hollow. Perhaps there will be micro-scaled scenes that can be revealed by simply taking panels off kinda similar to the massive Hogwarts castle. I would like for some things to be minifig scale certainly but you can't really make the set bigger than the 2005 one so my guess is the extra pieces go into additional detailing and interior elements. EDIT: I do see your point however of a minifig heavy set...
  21. My guesses stay set on UCS Death Star 2, Venator, or Ghost. I personally don't think Lego will make a $650 playscale set anytime soon. Also the $650 price tag makes me think the UCS Razor Crest could increase to that price by fall based on Lego's pricing model.
  22. Three words - Jabba. The. Hutt.
  23. I highly doubt it, but a new hair mold for Bo would be sick with her headband thing on it. It looked so derpy with it printed on the face and the standard ol hair piece. im sure that would have been specified but maybe we will get it.
  24. why have no major sources commented on this issue of jabbas being cancelled? people jumped on it right away when the temple of doom got cancelled. i get it was maybe because there was box art while jabbas was merely rumor, but still one of the most anticipated of the sets of the year all of a sudden gets canned and no one is really talking about it? i dont really know what to believe
