Dear all, Please welcome my Rusty Canyon MOC as my entry to the Bricklink Designer program series 2. The Model contains 4 pcs detailed speed champions cars placed in a junkyard diorama. Every cars are ready to roll they are fully usable speed champions models. The Yellow car was inspired by the Dodge/Plymouth Muscle cars from the 70's. There is a Coupe utility also from th 70's like the Ranchero or El Camino and a 30's Hotrod. The white car is representing a refurbished Convertible also from the 70's. The part count is 2505 pcs. I was really enjoying to make this design as i wanted to make something similar since long time. But never found time to do it. And now with this program i've decided to make it and i'm so happy with it. I know this model doesn't have a big chance to finish in the TOP5 at the end as there are some more popular themes but with a bit of luck it could reach a good place and became reality. If you like it please click to vote :) https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-2/748/Rusty-Canyon Rusty Canyon BDP2 by Szunyogh Balázs, on Flickr Rusty Canyon BDP2 by Szunyogh Balázs, on Flickr Rusty Canyon BDP2 by Szunyogh Balázs, on Flickr Rusty Canyon BDP2 by Szunyogh Balázs, on Flickr Rusty Canyon BDP2 by Szunyogh Balázs, on Flickr

[MOC] Shelby GT350 With Fake engine and transmission

Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it :) I don't think LEGO will release any similar model. Unfortunately it doesn't fit to the requirements of LEGO... -

Once i've built a challenger in speed champions size and parallel I've made the CUDA too. :) So i'm sure If i build the challenger in 12 studs size i will build the Cuda also... :) Thank you. I also don't know if LEGO ever made cars in this scale. But maybe they will scale up the speed champions series in the future if they want to make more money... :) I think it's possible. -

Thank you. Your eyes are right. There was a small necessary modification at rear end. On the real mustang the shape over the rear mudguard is close to a straigth line. But it was looking stupid with Lego bricks in real life. So i've redesigned it with slopes and it was looking better this way. So this is why it's not looking accurate from every viewpoint but moch more better on the real life build. Thank you, I'm glad you like it. :) Thank you, :) yeah i have a "to do" list with close to 10 cars now containing my absolute favorite the Dodge Challenger 70's also. Maybe this will be the next one just have to find time :) -

Thank you so much :) Thank you :) At first i have used transparent tiles but somehow they didn't look good so i replaced them to these ones. Thank you. The Tire and Rim combination is not my idea i've got the tip from an other designer. And i agree that it looks really awesome. :) I'm sure i will make more cars in this scale. ;) -

Hello , Thank you so much. I'm adding some extra words now. :) -
Hello Everyone, I hope this is the right place to show my 12studs wide GT500 MOC. I've made it a while ago. This is not an often used scale but it's very good to build detailed models and they do not need so much space on the shelf. :) The parts count is 910 pieces and it has openable doors and hood. This is a very well known car from the movie "gone in 60 seconds" and called "Eleanor". The base of this movie car was the 1967 Shelby GT500 but they have modified the classic design a bit for the movie. I started to work on this MOC close to a year ago but left it for long time because of some other projects. Originally i didn't want to build the Eleanor version just a normal GT500 but when i saw the curved slopes (80178 and 80177) for the first time that was clear to me they were invented to be the front bumpers of an Eleanor MOC. :) The most challenging area was the front end of the car. This is the 10th version and now it is rigid enough with the look i wanted to achieve. I have used the blueprints of a standard GT500 to get the basic dimension and ratio. So maybe in the future i will build more models in this scale. Hope you like it. Hello all, I've just released my new speed chamions size MOC the Shelby GT350. I have tried to add as many details as possible in this size. The bottom side is "OPEN" so the transmission and the engine is visible like in the reality. I was afraid about the stability when made the design but at the end it is rigid enough to play with it also. Please welcome some shost about my MOC and i share the rebrickable link also. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-151020/Gnat.bricks/shelby-gt350-sc/#details Hope you like it. :) SC Shelby GT360 by Szunyogh Balázs, on Flickr SC Shelby GT360 by Szunyogh Balázs, on Flickr SC Shelby GT360 by Szunyogh Balázs, on Flickr SC Shelby GT360 by Szunyogh Balázs, on Flickr SC Shelby GT360 by Szunyogh Balázs, on Flickr SC Shelby GT360 by Szunyogh Balázs, on Flickr

Hey everyone, Just finsihed my second alternate build from the 10304 Camaro set. I have tried to recreate the Dodge Charger 1969. I know it's not perfect but i'm very happy with the results as this is an alt build. I've used 1:15 basic ratio to get best fit with 16 studs. Hope you like it. Cheers. Hello everyone, I would like to present you my newest WIP project the Ferrari F50. Just finished the digital design and i'm really happy with it so far. But it looks like i will fully rebuild the whole structure under the body as i want more features. Currently only the hood is openable. Now i'm working on the engine to make it more detailed and would like to find a solution to make the doors openable too. But there are not so much space there... :) Based on my plan i will build it with real bricks in January. Hopefully it will works properly. I while ago i've tried to rebuild the big technic cars in 8 studs size. I know many other designers built them in 8 speed champions size but i have tried to make something different (maybe). The target was to create these small cars with similar look as the big Technic sets. I really love them and very happy with the results. :) Please welcome my "Tech-champions" family. Hello, Thank you. i'm glad you like it. :) Yeah it's a bit similar to the official Mustang set but i can promise it's different in building experience. It's a bit lower and longer than the official set. In the other hand i'm happy that they are similar as they are similar in real life also. :) Thanks for the comment. -
Hello all, In this thread i would like to show you my LEGO mocs. I'm building cars in different sizes so i have 8 studs wide mocs and creator expert size also. First of all i would like to start with my newest alt build from the 10304 Camaro set. I have tried to recreate the The Ford Mustang GT500. I know this is not the original GT500 it's more similar to the "eleanor" from the movie "gone in 60 seconds". I like to build alternates because it makes me happy when i see how the shape comes out from a way different set. It takes 4-6 weeks for me usally to make a model like this. I usually start the designing procedure in a CAD software where i can use the blueprints of the original car to get the shape ,size and correct ratio. Hope you like it guys. Hello Everyone, I'm a 37 years old AFOL and i'm building mostly car MOCs. Of course lego was my favourite toy as a child but left it alone for long years. I don't know what happened later but somehow i've got a speed champions set 3 or 4 years ago as a birthday gift and... The rest is history. :) As an Afol that was a clear way to find many different communities / goups on the web where i can see uncountable beautiful creations. At first i was reading comments and posts for a year before i started to work on my first MOC. Now i found this awesome forum also and wanted to join to learn from you guys and of course to share my creations. I'm happy to be there and i hope you will like my builds. Thank you gnat.bricks
