  1. hello, it seems to be not possible to post anything in the bazaar thread for wanting to buy so i put it here :( i have some vintage lego sets that maddeningly are missing either the top clear plastic tray cover or both the clear plastic parts tray and the lid. i have been searching endlessly for any source for replacement parts here, and it seems impossible. does anybody have a good source for anything like this? thanks,
  2. ah brilliant stuff!!! cheers :D
  3. hey everyone, i am new here. been a lego fan since i was a child and trying to re-acquire all my lego i used to have that is long gone :( i have been slowly planning wishlists on bricklink to get a number of my favourite sets i remember having, and i have other newer sets as well i want to get that are retired. but after making my first wishlist; i spotted a strange thing-- i was trying to place an order using easy buy on bricklink when i suddenly spotted that the total per seller didn't add up right. i was being overcharged by over £24, which is a significant figure. for some reason the total was being padded across some of the different shops. am i missing something or are these sellers trying to get away with some dodgy buisiness? i have somewhere around £130 of bricks in mind to get so i can build a big piece and if this takes place on that order i want to make, i can expect that possible cheating to escalate to a pretty high figure. anybody ever see this before? what's going on? thanks for any helpful comments.
  4. yeah that maiden flight version is close to what i want to build, just with a colour scheme like the new airbus helicopter in red white and neon yellow. that is more realistic rescue themed colour, IMHO. it's just mind-bending to try and figure out what parts would get what colours. some are clear to figure out, others- not so much. may have to double up on some parts to figure it out :P good to know rebrickable might make sorting them easier.
  5. always someone better at math than me ;)
  6. lego vip points have different value in different countries. just compare what you get on lego USA vs say lego UK for the same kit-- you will find the american lego fan gets more vip points for the same set and their lego points are worth more money back in discounts :( on top of that, in the UK we pay more for our lego. how's that work? i am still saving up my points, only buy lego now on 2x points days. it's the only way to get it now if you want to eventually get something back.
  7. This is a great thread, loads of mods and tips :) I downloaded the file to put into a bricklink wishlist but it keeps coming up 2 bricks short with 163 instead of 165 bricks, and a lot of the headache comes from having to meticulously go through the downloaded pdf instructions, cross reference with the parts list and try and figure out what parts need to be changed into what colours, just to make it match up with the original osprey set and it has become confusing. After a while I started wondering why I would want the original colours when I could make a version that looks better- my idea came after seeing the white and red version pictures in this thread, and it made me think of the Airbus 42175 which I feel has the right balance of colour for a rescue aircraft. My plan is to build the Osprey in that colour scheme to have them side by side and keep my boxed osprey safe and sound. Has anybody else thought of this and did so? Still finding that .csv file really problematic to go through, adding to the difficulty is that even the lego instruction sheet pdf shows entirely different part numbers :P Any tips for figuring all this out? Cheers, A.
