  1. IF that parts count is accurate, it might well be minifig scaled, and have below decks detailing.
  2. if using the Star Wars sets as guides, it's worth mentioning the new "ambush on mandalore" set, which is basically two half battlepacks in one box. with two imperial commandos, two mandalorians, and a small terrain build with minor play features. https://brickset.com/article/109680/review-75373-ambush-on-mandalore-battle-pack i feel like this would be a popular sort of set for Pirates, perhaps with with two Imperial Guard troopers, and two pirates, with say a stand of palm trees on a sand dune and a small guard post. maybe a rowboat. you could then build off this with a larger set with some more terrain and more elaborate minifigs on both sides (analogous to the "paz visla and moff gideon battle" set which the smaller set can link to directly to to create a larger scene/play scenario) say, a small brick built boat (bigger than a rowboat, but still limited parts count) with two pirates of a somewhat fancier style, vs an imperial guard cannon crew. then you could do stuff like an imperial guard troop pack and a pirate pack, each adding both more basic minifigs and accessories, and brick built terrain bits for play use. which would suppliment whatever ships and islands form the bigger sets in the line.
  3. Well I'm happy to report i was wrong. They even came early. https://www.brickfanatics.com/more-added-to-pick-a-brick-including-pirates
  4. Having downloaded the instructions off rebrickable.. is it possible to have the piece ID codes from pickabric added, for those of us looking to build a copy? The codes in the PDF didn't match so I'm assuming they're for a different site.
  5. Oh surely, but it would effect all the paperwork and internal work orders governing the process of adding those parts to the online store.
  6. i'm assuming that the count would start from the point they realized they'd labelled the parts wrong and removed the IP-protected tag from them.
  7. so that would be what month in 2024?
  8. perhaps the cowardly lion fig with a headswap? https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?M=tlm164#T=S&O={"iconly":0} mind you, in the book i'm fairly certain he actually made his clothing of goat-skin, not goat furs.. that is, he scraped and tanned the skins into a form of soft leather. so visually, you'd be better off looking at some of the native american figures, looking for buckskin shirt and pants. it is also worth noting that "friday" was a native american in the book (his island was off south america), and dressed in a style that was simpler than Crusoe's, even if made from similar things. ( in fact, iirc Crusoe actually give him a set of european style pants, taken from some of the stuff salvaged from the wreck. presumably they were too small for Crusoe?)
