It's so impressive - not only the assembly of such bases and the precision in which they are arranged - the locations are spectacular choices! You don't see a lot of Otoh Gunga MOCs and that Lothal highway really nails the look and feel of that planet. Where would you go next with this?

Here's something familiar from The Clone Wars to share with you - the Munificent-class star frigate.
This one is seen throughout The Clone Wars series and in Revenge of the Sith so it was on my Must-MOC list for a long time. I wanted to make sure it would look somewhat suitable in scale when displayed with the Venator 8039. There's likely no hope of TLG ever doing this ship. There's not much to it but a shell of a hull with some guns around it - I was hoping to place an interior somewhere but there's barely any space.
I recycled a bit of familiar parts - that sticker from the front slope pieces are from the Mandalorian speeder. The black strut in the front is there only to keep the ship upright. I had a version without the ventral fin but it looked wrong. I also got some inspiration from stark mark 5's sweet build here:
Comments welcome. I can see now that I have to fix those engines. Next build.

Itching to see Kylo's bomber video review myself. I'm concerned that it looks too big for display with First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter 75101.
I have Vader's TIE from 75150-1 (vs A Wing) flanked by two custom OT TIEs based on the build of 75101. The proportions are great. The early images and box art from Kylo's bomber just looks ridiculously big - like somehow larger than the build of Kylo's shuttle. I hope I am wrong and they they look good displayed with the FO TIEs.
Does anyone know if TLG sends takedown notices to people reviewing pre-Force Friday Lego on YouTube? I can't remember if this happened for The Force Awakens or Rogue One. Hopefully not. Bring on the early reviews.

There's nothing more satisfying than building a Lucrehulk-class battleship (droid control ship)!
It's one of those designs that tends to look even more impressive with size. And it's iconic throughout the prequels and even a few of The Clone Wars episodes.
Other than that, I've had a fantasy about tackling a version of old Han's Eravana freighter or Starkiller Base, though Starkiller would be more of a playset.

That is just a stunning masterpiece of a MOC. I adore the way the TIES fold up to dock in the hangar. Hats off to this build.

Ryancup, what country are you in? Because if you are in the USA, builders outside of the USA will meet resistance due to shipping fees and other various import restrictions. The same could likely be said for any other country hiring out-of-country labor. The fixed budget of $300.00 is reasonable. You could likely build a 10188 Death Star sized station/bunker or larger with that. Now the question becomes: how much of that budget would builders want for themselves?
I kind of like the idea of tapping gifted MOC-ers for specific projects - and you certainly came to the right place to fish for talent. But there's something that strikes me as logistically nightmarish about shipping such a big/delicate project to someone. What happens if the courier gets sloppy and it ends up in a bunch of pieces? What happens if you yourself demolish it when opening the box(es)? Has anyone ever successfully pulled a job/commission off like this on this forum?
TL,DR: I'd commission a model builder and then build the final design locally with Bricklinked parts. Separate the brick budget and payment to the designer. Just my two bits. Hope I don't come off as sanctimonious, I wish you well with your build.

I think the real question here is: what happens if Solo is pushed back to December? ....If it does get delayed, is it still possible for LEGO to shift next year's spring sets back to fall? Would there be product far enough along in the pipeline to fill their spot? etc.
That's a great question. With all these Lego licensed properties, this must have happened at some point in the past, right? Is there any precedent set that says TLG will go ahead and release toys as scheduled regardless of say, a 6 month delay in a film's release?
There was extreme hype surrounding the release of The Force Awakens. There was also talk of that film being delayed - we even heard reports from JJ wanting it pushed back. In the end, the mouse came in on time. I couldn't imagine there being no first Force Friday for Lego. Disney must move heaven and earth making sure things occur on schedule. I have confidence Solo will also be released on schedule.
Does anyone hope Yoda's hut has a "dying/disappearing into the force" action feature for Yoda kinda like Vader's transformation? "There is.... another.... Sky.... walk.... er....."

Does anyone like the idea of a Cloud City competition? I don't think we're getting anything official anytime soon. The new Battlefront maps have really triggered my inspiration to build something. It's always fun to see how other builders approach Cloud City - lots of challenges.

Also... c'mon, why no Leia? This is going to be Carrie's final outing as Leia due to her unfortunately passing last year, I would've thought they'd give her a figure.
Very disappointing.
Carrie Fisher died but 6 months ago. This wave was probably locked by the design team in mid 2016 or so. Plus, I think we'll be getting more Leia Lego for years to come: she's in Rebels, she'll be in Battlefront, Leia is not "going" anywhere... it's Ms. Fisher that's gone away.
With the Rogue One wave, there was some awesome in that the rebel fighters that initially appeared to be no-names were actually real characters, at least as the reference point of the illustrated visual guide. They had names: Lt. Sefla, Corporal Rostok, Sgt. Melshi, Pvt Calfor, etc (there were two others, I don't have my book with me). It was kind of great to have these nameless troopers from the Rogue One kits you bought suddenly have backstories and actual characters. It made buying the whole wave that much more worth it. Our own Richpepperell was the one who first discovered it and took the time to photograph all the rebels with their profiles in this thread:
It doesn't appear as though this is happening with this first TLG wave? I've been trying to figure out if those 3 resistance pilots are anyone we know. I figured for sure they'd give us fan-favorite Jessika Pava and cash in on that hype but the female pilot seems random. The blue helmet with the swishy design on the right (of the 3 pilots) is not Jessika Pava's. Hers has a red resistance logo to one side.
Waitaminute. The middle resistance pilot is a woman, too? I think she has the styled female lips. Her helmet seems fit Jessika Pava's design but it's very pale instead of red. Poe Dameron's angels or something.
What is with the pilot on the left, with the gold color helmet? Does anyone think he has an abundance of character for a background pilot? He is beaming a huge smile and holding that blaster upward in a very cocky pose. Maybe some of these no name dudes do have names... and we won't know until we buy The Last Jedi - The Ultimate Visual Guide. On sale Force Friday.

This is an outstanding MOC. The scale-to-minifig and details of the buildings are awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing your technique up close around the bend of the building in the middle - the weathering effect of white bricks looks very well executed.
EDIT: Just noticed the Flicker albums! Bravo on using the 1x1 cylinders/2x2 bricks for the curved railing. That's a really unique approach.Always a great thing to see new planet scenes, too. Could we ever get something like this as a UCS? One can dream.
Save the Rebellion, Save the Dream.

Do you mean... *brickering* hyukhyukhyuk
Heh heh - *brickering*
a portmanteau of bricks and bickering?
Great list. General Grievous Combat Speeder made a brief flash in the pan apearance, it's from A Necessary Bond, the finale of the younglings Clone Wars 4-episode that culminates in a decent Ahsoka vs Grevious (& Hondo's gang on speederbikes) fight, so does that mean we are probably getting another Ahsoka? A non clone wars eyes padawan Ahsoka in a likely cheap set. That's worthy of some celebration, no?
Unless it's all new stuff. Could be from Battlefront II.
Yoda's Hut - the piece count here will be very interesting. How much of that swamp are we going to see? So great that we are finally going to Degobah in Lego again.
-
She's a beaut! Great scale and dimensions. The greebling on the edges is sassy!
Any interior rooms?

The Facebook page has lots of pics. Some really arresting vistas there of the Boonta Eve Classic. Each podracer seems like a UCS creation in its own right. This is simply an outstanding achievement, Sir von Lego.
How many podracers total? I counted eight.

I really like the set, but I don't know how it could fit next to the modulars due to these restrictions. It doesn't look this is ment to be a standalone set due to the modular aspects. Could we expect a new line of modular buildings within this theme?
I'm thinking the city might look great displayed next to the Temple of Airjitsu. Also, looking forward to see some super urban acropolis MOCs inspired by this Ninjago City set.
-
The Battlefront II gameplay includes a brief glimpse of Death Troopers on Yavin IV. This is excellent news for those of us waiting for an official TLG playset of the rebel base on Yavin IV, I used to always say we'd never get an official one because no battles took place there (I believe Lego only wants to make Star Wars kits that kids can "fight" out scenes with) happy to be wrong on this one. With this new Battlefront II content I'm willing to bet now that eventually we will see some Yavin IV sets. Maybe there's a level that takes place as the rebels escape Yavin IV after the events of A New Hope.

Someone uploaded the BB9e photo to the reddit lego leaks page about a half hour ago. Which is good, because the search function on Flickr leaves a lot to be desired - every time I searched for anything Star Wars, mostly car and plane MOCs came up. Lots of Wall-E, too.
The new photo is very clear, it's a close up of BB9e with a circular grill pattern. The head has more of a trapezoid shape and looks to be higher (taller) than BB8's. The photo has a yellow background. Happy hunting.
-
Just scoured all the usual places (including the two non-English Facebook leak pages) and no Kylo Ren TIE picture - just to save some of you from searching. I'm sure it'll turn up soon.
There *is* a leak of the TIE from before and not the Lego form. It may have been mistaken for the Lego version.

I like the look of the Resistance Bomber, will definitely be picking that one up and converting it to a capital ship.
I think (within canon) the bomber is considered a capital ship, my friend. It certainly looks like it'll have space for figures inside. And ordinance for sure. Can anyone tell if that thickness is 8 or 10 studs? That cockpit piece looks like it's from the Falcon.
Anyone have any idea how this one will display? Hopefully it doesn't need a stand like the B-Wings of old. I'm hoping that it folds up to rest on its side somehow.
If anyone's wondering why Snoke is wearing a prison jumpsuit, I'd like to offer an explanation in the realm of TLJ Spoilers:
Kinda wish the "evil" BB8 unit would be red, not black.
Oh man, I need that First Order Star Destroyer right now. I was never a Snoke fanatic but you have to admit he comes in a badass ride. I can't wait for this one! It's bought on day one full purchase no complaints. If it comes with an interior, I'm buying that, too.
-
Wow, that First Order Star Destroyer is System Scale magic!! I was *just* Googling mocs the other day looking to see if anyone has tried one. This looks exactly as I'd hoped... dreamy.
At that size there's gotta be a decent interior.
Everything else looks must-buy, too. Better start saving. The Resistance "Bomber" still looks like a capital ship to me. Bombers don't have to be small fighters, they can be big, y'know... B-29 Superfortress for one.
The walker looks like it's on snow but it's not - it's the dust covered planet (the dust turns red when disturbed) as seen in the TLJ trailer.
I read somewhere over on Reddit - they were calling Lego Snoke "Goldmember."

Here's a Jedi Council Chamber at a smaller than System scale, accommodating 7 of the 12 council members with just enough space for a couple of minifigs to stand in the middle. It's riffing on the similar Coruscant theme from Palpatine's Arrest, where brick supplies allowed me to piece it together. This Jedi Council lineup is based on the positions held during The Phantom Menace.
Size-wise, it's just about the amount of shelf space I can afford for this playset, but it is unquestionably a long-overlooked location for an official Lego set. Plenty of figures can be crammed in there. I was inspired to finish this up and put it on the shelf after seeing Kevii23's beaut of a build (lojaco's from Lego Ideas) here. The build of the baseplate isn't very remarkable. What I would have preferred are the new connection plates from the Carbon Freezing Chamber to complete the circle. The way I did it, using regular old 2x2 plates (and) bricks with hinges creates a circle well enough but the Lego won't connect two opposite sides together properly. The studs don't line up. I managed to use a couple of 1x2 modified with hole pieces to click into place on one end but this thing is bottom-heavy overall because of the extra weight in there. The floor's just a little off kilter, but as Jedi have no attachment / possessions, no one should lose anything down the crack, rite?I tried building it higher and possibly a roof using those big round slabs that I have too many of (i.e. from the Droid Gunship) but I want this playset to match the existing Palpatine's Arrest and this location looks best without a roof anyway. Otherwise you can't see inside easily and enjoy all the Jedi sitting in the circle.Bonus pic, here's the lightsaber rack outside the Jedi Council. "Okay, who brought the red blades?"Been trying something like this for a while with mixed results but I like where this particular build has taken me. I might decide to Bricklink new connections to make the circle more sturdy, though. For now it'll do. I'm certainly open to suggestions and criticism. -
A location set, with interior and exterior, looks exactly as it should, play features excellent and a pivotal scene to boot?? ChristopherLee, this is a genius design. I've been searching for a good Mustafar playset ideas for years, and this is the first one that I've been able to build and put on the shelf with pride. Yes, over the weekend I took a crack at this approach to the build but I was limited to the spare parts I have at the moment. Need lots more brown slopes.
Thank you for sharing your build file, ChristopherLee. I think I'm going to try and riff on something similar for Kamino as well... hopefully The Lego Group is paying attention to clever builds like these. This is around the same piece count as Battle on Takodana which sadly has no interior. I only have a work-in-progress picture of this build and it's bad... will update with a proper picture soon!

Greetings from Germany (and sorry for grammatical errors).
Sorry for rehashing this old topic but I felt the wish to thank @darththeling for this model. In a small german board i'm known as legondarybricks but my name on Lego Ideas is Paint0r. I designed the original concept on Ideas, failed with the support and forgot about this project. I loved the design but never had the pieces and money to build it. Now... one and a half year later I was watching randomly a 2017 Lego-video by MandRproductions on Youtube and saw a picture of a Lucrehulk-model that looked familiar to me. I just realised that someone built my project. By searching the internet for the builder I found this board.
I'm really happy about your model and feel honored that you made this model (The Idea was so insignificant but your model was worth the effort).
Thank you!
...I also remember the discussion with @krisandkris12 on Ideas about the early concept. It pushed me to improve the concept
Wow!! Greetings from Canada. I was hoping that you would one day track me down, @legondarybricks! Thanks for your post and tipping me off about the Lucrehulk build featured in the MandRproductions video. I am subscribed to their channel but missed that episode I Lego video.
It's very nice of you to join Eurobricks to reach out and - as @krisandkris12 says, please do share any new Star Wars Lego designs you have with us if you like. It's been almost two years exactly since I found your model and decided to build it.
The build is brilliant. I particular I think the wedges that comprise the two arms were designed with excellence to provide that distinctive shape. The ship is still on a shelf of its own in my collection and is without a doubt the pride of the prequel display! I had a lot of fun building it over the span of a couple of months back in 2015.
Parts-wise it was a bit pricey - but the build is so dense. Official kits often have lots of empty space inside whereas this model is thick all the way through with almost no "air pockets." From what I can recall, I think the bulk of the parts cost around $250.00 CAD (maybe $200-ish USD?) but I made several mistakes when ordering so maybe it's not quite that much. So MandRproductions got the price estimate pretty close in their video (posted below, in case others missed it, Lucrehulk talk starts at 3:58). It was my first time ordering Pick-A-Brick from the official Lego website and if I had known how to use Bricklink's sorting/ordering feature I would have gone that route (which I did when I Bricklinked the SSD).
Do you think you will ever build the model, legondarybricks? Also, krisandkris12 should keep us in the loop if you do build it too - sounds like it's a matter of when and not if. I was tempted to use "the kragle" to glue some of the bits together but ultimately I couldn't bring myself to do it because I think there is value in having the chance to make changes in the future to this build. I wouldn't hold my breath for an official Lucrehulk - unless it's a Microfighter.
Oh yeah, I absolutely love this ship.
Many thanks to you as well, legonarybricks for sharing the digital file allowing me to make this - it would have been completely impossible to build this without the file!! Incidentally - should I change my credit to your build from Paint0r to legonarybricks?

Quadspeeder has an exploding function? That's actually very appropriate as it appears in the film.

Been waiting a long time to stock up on cheap(er) Tusken Raiders and Jawas so that's a win. I love the little scene, stealing the droid. Of course it has stud shooters... lol. A missed opportunity to provide fans of A New Hope with an R5-D4. He's got a bad motivator, but that's okay. We don't all have good motivators.
Battle Pack Classic microfighter style gunship is eww. Why does TLG insist on adding microfighter type ships/speeders in system scale packs? I'll take the figures and the spare parts, thanks.
I would consider Grevious' combat speeder a win. Good pieces, great figures in a cheap set.
While Yoda's hut looks fine enough, the colors are good and the inside might be the best part (once revealed) but I don't think the overall shape really shows a great tree. The only official system scale Yoda's Hut previously (Lego X Wing Fighter 4502, 2005) got the shape of the tree right and it was using a considerably darker palette. I hope the final version uses more conventional brown bricks, than tan. Ohhh, is that a 1x2 two-pin connector on the bottom?? Interesting. Please tell me it connects to a huge Dagobah swamp!!
