  1. This ship's hull design is based on the set 6250.(Cross Bone Clipper) I did not own the set, but I know the ship's hull is good for small ship. And there are more additional parts from last original sets. (Ship with 4 minifigs) In her body, There are rudder, steering wheel(steering pole instead in 6250), 1x1 round tile(magnetic compass), cannon, mast rigging. winch for derrick crane, windras for anchor chain. Steering wheel of the ship. In the set 6250, there are ancient steering pole, narrow bridge and cabin. But I didn't reflect that design for better display. Now she had bridge for maximum 3 minifigs, cabin and window in stern. There is also the potential to put the functionality of the set 6271(working rudder) here.(Real time) Navigational instrument, Cannon, Windras, Winch and derrick crane. * (Sextant, telescope, map, magnetic compass) These tools help navigators locate their ship, day and night. * Cannon, some may know. Idea from the set 6280 armada flagship for better shooting angle with single cannon. * Windras, It's connection way is the reason for rigging parts in this small ship. Thanks to them, it works well. * Winch and derrick crane, So they were built in the simplest and most durable way I could think of. Bow statue, Red keel, Bulwark. They are from 6250 Cross Bone Clipper. Sail, It is Barracuda ship's one. It is pretty wide sail. So I think it is good to viking ships.(31132 + thor ship) The thread not a decoration. It's for folding sail with simple build(You don't even have to tie) I can fold her sail, by pulling one brick. I can also lower the center of gravity by lowering boom. Tips: (bricklink ID 85861) This small brick is one of most important things for folding sail.(+reason for my failure in the past year) This small part plays three important role: pulls the sail down, prevents wear and tear on the thread and sail. (minifigs) thanks for reading
  2. 20220816_131837 by Juliet Hotel Lee, Flickr에서 Minifigs(left to right): Cap'n: He has the neatest captain torso in lego pirates sets.(Bricklink ID pi102) So it is good to be used in normal merchantmen first officer: He helped a lonely seaman(Cap'n) on several voyages for a long time. In other word, He may be the true Captain's 'First mate'. XD Steering man: This man used to work as a blacksmith in a castle. Now he became a seaman, and He thinks this is his vocation. last man: He is wearing rich clothes. Is he a relative of an investor? (There must be many ways to imagine.) I hope it helped you! thanks for comment.
  3. MM Thank you for finding some details. Also,I think Making false cannon ports gave me more funny process when I build it. https://www.flickr.com/photos/192557614@N06/albums/72177720300967747 << I hope this is what you are looking for. it can be updated soon.
  4. I think You made great remake of the set 6280. Because each parts of ship looks like the summary of it. But it is definitely different from the Original. The lighter hull and white-blue stripe sail make me feel fresh.
  5. In all lego pirates theme, there were many tries. Buccaneer, Imperial red/blue coats, Spanish army and Islanders. But identified merchant men or their ship appeared in only one set. As you know, the set 6277 is it. Ship in 6277 was made by bricks, not baseplate for more big ships. The ship is good ship but, I have thought that more merchant ships are needed, for a richer pirates theme. In pirates theme, appearance of merchant ship means more views. Bad men in the Ocean plunder these ships, So Imperial soldiers or private mercenary can escort these ships for their profit. We can also make story of the great navigators or adventurers of their merchant ship in their side. Or these 'Common' ships are good at just extra background. But only the one ship could be boring. I could understand the reason of large-merchant ship's low-frequency in lego sets. ...So I built this in Feb, 2022. This ship includes: Slightly fordable square sails, Turnable triangle sails. 14 gun doors(but they are fake for large cargo hold). Curves for hull. Working cargo hatch, winch and windras for derrick crane and anchors. Minifig-accessible hatch in bow. Small cabin. Sorry for the long introduction, Then, Please enjoy the pictures below, Thanks.

  7. structure used diagonal looks balanced. in the car, The mix of blue and tan doesn't look awkward than I thought. good job.
  8. use of original ship's base part and good curves in ship's stern, technic-used small gun, mast pillar as real. Some of nice parts of this moc.
  9. Your ship's overall shape, its all curves and composition of sail are very nice. It is beautiful ship. And I wonder about its durability. I have no idea about such a build.
