Not really, mould's for new peices cost around $300.000 (at least that's what the doco said) so it's not really an option just for one set. But I do totally agree with you on the price, $350 down here in oz is absolute rubbish so TLG can get stuffed they are not getting my money (at least not directly)

Either way don't expect any bargains once it's out of production.

Most people I know think it is cool, but if anyone did have a problem with it I would not care. I have said this on another thread but look at it this way. How much do rev heads spend on their cars and for what, something that is constantly decreasing in value (unless it is a reventon or veyron) and continues to cost you money everyday untill you sell it. Trust me us lego fans have nothing to worry about

I just got the 10188 death star and technic flatbed truck from amazon.fr so there are some sets available, but yes quite a few were not. Just have to click and prey I guess

Went to brookside target today to put some money on a lay-buy and they have about 10 or so R2-D2's plus all the other new sets if anyone has missed out up here. Also popped into myer "just for a look" and ended putting the tower bridge and VW combie on laybuy, Dammit!

Just came back from the vip night at chermside target, they have quite alot of r2-d2's new star wars wave plus about 20-25 diagon alleys for $223. People were going crazy there

The death star will be at toyworld in october I belive, although it is at full price $699 (good luck to them)
