  1. So my theory on the 'Hogwarts Castle & Grounds' being a microscale set were correct? Figures. I'm surprised no one has suspected a Malfoy Manor set yet? I'd say it's more realistic to get that over Shell Cottage & Luna's house. Malfoy Manor served as the climax to DHP1 and has actually featured a lot of important characters in it's location on-screen. Having the home could give us lots of minifigures that may not specifically make it to the Hogwarts sets. Characters like Narcissa Malfoy, Olivander in his DHP1/2 outfit, Luna in her DHP1/2 outfit, some snatchers. I'm thinking a table area for the death eaters to sit; a jail feature to put the characters in a prison of sorts; a feature to allow Dobby to drop the Chandelier and so on. The possibilities are endless here.
  2. At 2k+ pieces, could this be an expansion to the UCS Hogwarts, but focus on the grounds surrounding Hagrid's/Clock tower etc?
  3. I told you guys, there's been people online saying we're getting a new section of the Great Hall this year. Obviously could be just speculation, but it's appeared way too frequently. Hope to get some confirmation on it soon.
  4. Does anyone have any tips for modifying the new Hogwarts system with the 2018-2020 versions? I've considered swapping the roofs to grey, but I'm not sure how costly that will be? I have also considered turning the 2018- roofs to green, but I think I genuinely need examples on how it could look before I fully commit. There's also the issue with the Great Hall. Could the 2018 version somehow be modded to fit in with the modular sets? Any tips/pics/advice will be appreciated.
  5. This Burrow is an easy pass for me. The most recent one was pretty much perfect and affordable. The leaks look great, but the price point is an instant turn off for me.
  6. When can we likely see leaks of the summer sets emerging?
  7. I genuinely prefer the first torso. Is it me or does the cardigan look somewhat stretched on the new one?
  8. Thanks for clearing this up. It's easy to get lost with leaks & rumours with regards to lego sets that It's hard to tell what's right any more. I'm glad it's likely a false rumour. With regards to the Great Halls, I've learned to actually appreciate the Chamber of Secrets version so much. The build overall is just so fun and looks great alongside the over modular elements. Has anyone switched the larger 2018 Great Hall roof to green? I'm super curious how that would look.
  9. I genuinely hopes your right. I would be quite annoyed with another Great Hall, especially seen as we've had two in the past few years and I think there's more areas of Hogwarts they haven't explored yet. I had no idea actually haha! Thank you for letting me know. With regard to the March sets, do we know if they may hit stores early at all? Pretty eager to get hold of them all.
  10. Somone said it in a comment on one of Holly's videos. That was the first time I saw it mentioned. It's gone back and forth in different instagram posts that have shared the leaks. I saw it mentioned on LegoHarryPotterWorld's post revealing the new sets, then there was one on Falcon's post as well. If you head over to the legoharrypotter subreddit, there's a huge post for the leaks over there with someone claiming it's going to be a Great Hall remake. I'm not sure if there is any truth in it, I haven't heard anything from anyone credible. I've reached out to Promobricks and asked if she's heard anything, so I'll keep you guys posted on it.
  11. New sets sound amazing. I've been reading over on Youtube/Instagram/Reddit that apparently one of the new sets is a remake of the Great Hall. Not sure how much truth there is in it, but it's allegedly a more detailed version of the Chamber of Secrets GH with battle damage elements as play features. I reached out to one of these 'leakers' and they basically said it was a little bit smaller than the 2018 version, but superior to the CoS version. Anyone else heard this?
  12. Why are Lego so reluctant to make a Sidious VS Yoda duel set? I've seen it requested a lot on peoples wishlists. Looking back, I think that's probably one of the only duels from the prequel/OT trilogy now that hasn't been recreated in Lego form.
  13. I love the new sets. This has to be Harry Potter's best wave yet? I'm a tad upset that they haven't based Dumbledore's office off one of the later movies. I love Richard Harris' Dumbledore, but we really need a new Gambon Dumbledore to be brought into the new sets. With the Ministry of Magic set also out, I don't know how they'll incorporate him into future sets now without it seeming like he's been shoe horned in. I'm somone who actually loves the more recent Hogwarts builds. So the build for the office and the courtyard are welcome additions.
  14. I for one am excited for Dumbledore's office. I think the 2018-2020 version wasn't all that great. Unless you want your Dumbledore sat down constantly, there wasn't much really there. I'm a little confused at the description, I was hoping someone could either draw some examples of what is being explained in terms of the build or explain it better?
  15. I've recently managed to get my hands on the Diagon Alley set from the lego store (its been out of stock for some time at my end). I love the set, but does anyone else find the overall building of it tiresome? I feel like Ollivanders took me way too long to complete and I'm usually pretty quick at building lego sets. Also with regards to the big UCS set coming. I have a theory that hasn't been mentioned yet. I wondered whether they were going to create a more accurate-minifigure scale UCS Hogwarts. Seen as fans were complaining about the grey roofs being ditched and demanding accurate sets, at that price point I genuinely thought maybe they will go back and design a large portion of Hogwarts and make it screen accurate from the outside and inside. I genuinely could see a HUGE Great Hall included in a set like that selling well, considering the 2018-2020 waves are literally waiting to retire these days. I feel this way they can sort of say "the UCS is for the adults/the green roofs are for a younger audience". I know they've done the UCS Hogwarts thing before, but I think a minifigure scale one would out-sell that in a heartbeat. Just my theory. I don't think Gringott's is likely at that price point, I also don't think casual shoppers would pay it, no matter how iconic it is to Harry Potter fans. EDIT: Also would like to add that despite the 2018-2020 line being accurate outside, fans complained about the limited space inside. I think a huge price point like that could fix that issue.
  16. Thank you all for the welcome messages haha! Honestly, I've just bought replacement bricks for my green roofs (although pick-a-brick is taking it's sweet time dispatching), the fact that they can be changed should mean it's not really an issue, right? With regards to Fantastic Beasts, I wasn't interested in a 3rd movie (the 2nd let me down) initially, but the trailer seems pretty great. I'm here for some backstory into the Dumbledore/Grindelwald story, so I'm excited. I do wish Lego were covering the movie, but I can see why they'd be hesitant. That being said, there may still be time because Mandalorian/Book of Boba Fett sets seemed to be made after the TV show has aired, I know this isn't usually how Lego works for movies, but maybe they'll see the popularity of the movie and then make sense in the future. I can't see this theme going anywhere, it's one of Lego's best selling.
  17. Long term lurker here, but I'm here now. This Theme is literally Lego's best, in my opinion. Despite my not agreeing with some of the more recent build designs for the sets, they still provide so much within their actual builds and sets in general. The same can't be said for the likes of Star Wars. That's a different discussion. Anyway, I'd like to express how disappointed I was with the 2021 wave when it was announced. I spent all year literally bashing the new system because I felt it simply 'didn't work', in comparison to the 2018-2020 wave. I believed Lego had taken a step back. I decide to bite the bullet and bought the Chamber of Secrets set today and it genuinely was one of the best building experiences I've ever had. The whole thing was just packed with content; Great Hall, Dark Arts classroom, Lockhart's office, Chamber of Secrets, PIXIE'S, Basilisk and all those wonderful minifigures. I watched so many videos on youtube comparing the 2018 Great Hall to the 2021 Chamber of Secrets and sided with most who preferred the 2018 set. Now, I'd say the Chamber of Secrets offers a whole lot more than being just one location and provides plenty of space and fun things to do inside the set itself. That's not to say I don't love the 2018-2020 wave, it was fantastic, but the interior's weren't just weak, they were almost non-existent. Grey roofs still win though... Now onto 2022 sets. This wave sounds amazing, I'm not too fussed about the buildable creatures honestly, but even the smaller sets will be a day one buy for me. The Ministry of Magic set is something I cannot wait for. I wish we were getting another CMF line, I feel they could easily start to cover some of those later movies better in the CMF line, seen as they are reluctant to focus an entire wave on DH sets. Anyway, it's great to finally be here!!
