The pose, the angle, even some parts of the robot look quite similar. But mostly they are connected because: a) they are both very massive; b) view angle. Of course no. I'm gonna get this uncensored version later ^_^

I always thought it's just Lewa Mata concept. Photos first, but they appear usually somewhere two weeks before Toy Fair (as I recall happened with Mistika), so it doesn't really makes any difference. I don't like the idea of Mata Nui being completely mechanical. What prevents from making him half-rock? Y'see, wouldn't it be cool to have animation like that: The island of Mata Nui (now barren, after Bohrok did their work) suddenly shudders and begins to rise slowly. (Angle changes from aerial view to island side.) The giant rock wall rises out of water... then strangely looking mechanisms, pistons, blah-blah-blah... (And remember to show it close so the watchers won't be able to get full picture!) And suddenly - woah! - shot from the distance of this giant Mata Nui silhouette. Strange mechanisms integrated into rock are waaaay cooler that just strange mechanisms))

New Malum don't look so awesome for me as in catalogue(( But these pics don't look very good. When have it started? In late 2007, I guess. All official CG pics from Toa Mahri til now just don't look like sets, like TLC changed the company or people who make these pics for'em. To shiny and unnatural.

That's what I mean - I'm glad that some things can be figures out by fans (easily!) but if they aren't added in any official media after that... I don't like it. Combination of biological and mechanical always were something like BIONICLE symbol - it's the main feature of the universe. Judgind by that - Codrex is perfect addition to the "universe feel" or whatever it called. So are the vehicles. I just want explanation)) There's even worse! I also like Codrex. But speaking about "out of place"... it just looks strange. A giant sphere stupidly placed in the swamp. Why it's there and other questions get no answers. Hope it'll be resolved in BL11 (need to wait two more weeks!), but I don't think so. If thing like Codrex EXISTS, there MUST BE some description of what it is, something more complex than "storage for everything - from Toa to vehicles". It's deus ex machina that BIONICLE story is full of. But the IDEA of having giant sphere in the swamp - cool, yeah. No. I sent a long message with TWO questions (the second was my personal problem about getting this disc in my country) and all I got was: I hoped to get more... long answer, but it's still better than nothing, considering how our conversation began))

I contacted Maltha today and he said that CryoShell CD is planned to be out in "first part of 2009."
