ALWAYS let the Wookie win was actually inspired by THIS PHOTO I saw a while ago on Flickr, but seeing that someone already did it ahead of me, I tried to come up with an idea to add my own twist to it (which resulted in the final four panels). @Jedd the Jedi: Good point with the Chewbacca sculpting. I can almost imagine him whistling a happy tune while he was doing those heinous deeds!

Sorry, not TRU in the States. I'm in Canada. The MSRP for Helm's Deep here is 170 CAD (which is around 40 USD over the US MSRP since the dollar is near par right now), and it's selling for 180 CAD at TRU.

An update to this: Those who placed an order probably got your cancellation emails already. They did offer a code for $45 off Helm's Deep, which will end up $5 more than the US MSRP for the set. The code expires 9/1, so I still have time to decide whether I really still want to get the set or just hit up Bricklink to get Theoden and Haldir (+ their accessories).

I'm assuming there's actually printing on Bib Fortuna's torso that's just hidden by the shadows on the picture above? (The box art shows that he has some sort of printing.) Edit: Nevermind. It seems the brightness setting on my monitor at work is darker than what I have here at home. I can see the torso printing now.

^ Too late guys. The price has now been corrected on the TRU website. Now it's just a waiting game on whether TRU honors the price error for those who were able to place an order.

I really hope those polybags make it to Canada (or not too expensive over at BrickLink). So far, I've seen all of the Monster Hunters sets over at TRU Canada, with the exception of the Swamp Creature, which was the one I actually wanted to grab first!

^ The free shipping was actually a deal for all the LEGO LOTR pre-orders. Don't get your hopes up too much yet, though. I'd feel really bad if I was the one responsible for the big letdown once they cancel those preorders. I just posted this "deal" in the slightest chance they would actually honor it.

Most often they'll just send out an email cancelling the order and say that it's an error, but if you're lucky they'll email you a GC or discount code for $5 to $10. I'm not expecting anything, but just thought I'd try. (I was planning to drive down to the States in August anyway to get this and avoid the "Canadian tax")

For Canadian residents: I'm not sure if Toys R Us Canada (online) will honor this, but they got the price of Helm's Deep and Weathertop switched up (Helm's Deep listed at $79.99 and Weathertop at $179.99). I was able to place an order for Helm's Deep even though it's in Backorder. Just a heads up.

I saw what you did there! I'm just hoping that this line would be as successful (or nearly successful) as the Star Wars line so we would get to see more obscure or less popular characters as minifigs down the road. The only thing that might prevent that IMO is that both DC and Marvel don't have the benefit of a huge amount of iconic vehicles that can be made into playsets unlike the SW line. Lots of possible "headquarters" sets maybe (already dreaming of the Hall of Justice and Hall of Doom), but that would just take care of the large playsets, and not the mid-sized ones.

^ Yup, I know. Basically when I said I WANT the Flash minifigure, what I meant was I HOPE TLG makes him so I can buy him. (Hopefully close enough in appearance to his video game counterpart). And Captain Cold would be the perfect villain for the Flash if he does come out in a set one day.

Finally bit the bullet and grabbed the Death Star from TRU (Canada) Online during their ongoing 20% off sale. Still a bit much, but at least the sale price is on par with the US retail price.
