I've bought all four previous 1:8 supercars, and will get this one. I enjoy the build process and displaying the final version, very much its core demo for these. As you've pointed out, the product intent hasn't changed since launch of the Porsche, and for good reason. Surely @allanp, the benefit of lego is that you can adjust the OEM model however you'd like? Is it even more satisfying that it wasn't "correct" out of the box?

Looks very odd from the front, nose is too high, too much black and lights are too big. The back is mega though Not a day one for me, will wait for a discount. I've still got the Sian and SP3 in boxes waiting to be built.

I'll buy the 1:8 supercar, although I have the last three still unbuilt Waiting for ornithopter (technic in spirit) to drop below my threshold.

Oof those dented wheels are bad. Very poor on such an expensive set. The colour variation in the Sian are poor, but excusable given the vagaries of the plastic mould processes. To have such a key and visible part be damaged by being in the box is inexcusable. Or perhaps the owner of your Ferrari was a bad parallel parker? Re. the target audience for these, I fit right in to it. I don't do MOCs or my own designs. I enjoy constructing complex stuff that then looks cool on the shelf. The added benefit is they are cars, which I love. If we were getting 1:50 planes or 1:150 boats, I'd be less inclined to buy them. Finally I built them, so I know what's in there.

Looks great, especially the no stickers. I can understand the criticism of no real function development, but intrinsically these are meant to be bluechip mostly static models. As a real world hybrid, I'm not sure just having some empty grey boxes as motors and lots of orange wiring would add much? If they put real motors in it, the cost would just go even further up. I'm still yet to build my Sian (painting house..) so I'll wait for a Legostore or other discount to bring is down from inflated Aus pricing. My money is needed for Optimus Prime anyway!

I've said in it the main speculation thread but I think another VAG car is nailed on. So either a Bentley Bacalar, or if TLG are really thinking out of the box and on trend, a Rimac Nevera with no fake engine, but fake motors on each wheel.

Lots of Fords have the 10 speed gearbox, Mustang for example. The real Sian only has 7 gears so I think even if its rumoured to have 10 speeds it won't reflect reality. Just a way to differentiate the new model and justify a price rise!

I didn't know that. They could do it in salmon pink! I think a convertible UCS would be a cool addition. And yellow would stand out.

I reckon it will be a Bentley, as the one remaining premium VAG brand. Could be a Bacalar??
