  1. None of the creations by Master Builders are available to buy. In fact, there is no right offer for any statues you see displayed by LEGO. Employees are not allowed to seel them. In fact, once they are done being used they are either donated to a local charitable cause (think childrens hospitals) or are destroyed. Company property should never be made public. There have been cases of employees receiving some creations as gifts, and of course a few more models are stolen or illegally obtained. As far as sculptures that are shown in LEGO stores, once they are done being in use they are either used elsewhere or destroyed. -Brett LEGO Brand Retail United States Trainer
  2. You can't just walk in ;) Sorry to burst your bubble, but you have to get past security at the gate and then most buildings are locked with a keycard. -Brett
  3. All of the Batman keychains are available at the Mall of America LEGO Store in Minnesota. 3.99 american each. You can call and get them shipped to any of the lower 48 states. (952)858-8949 -Brett
  4. I have to say this: THESE SETS WERE NOT DESIGNED FOR ADULTS! :) These sets are catered to a very specific age group...hence the title of the theme. These kids have not typically been building LEGO very long, therefore the 4+ theme is a great way to introduce it. The bigger parts and figures are a for the hands of a 4 year old. LEGO is attempting to reach a market that thy have always had a hard time with, and this is starting to work. I won;t talk sales numbers or the like, but the line IS doing well. :) -Brett
  5. King Leo's castle and The Black Seas Barracuda, even after re-release have not been available in the states in any retail form in almost two years. That is why the prices are high. If you can still find them in other countries, you should buy them. The last time we had a King Leo's Castle at my Brand Retail store was during the initial KK run in 2000. We last had the BB in 2003. So, hope that helps. Why would you communicate a LEGEND or a re-release when they are limited in time and numbers to begin and marketed at a direct market mainly of fans who want a set brought back (obviously familiar with the company)? That is a waste of money. Both sets sold briskly in the US. Dan Siskind designed 'The Blacksmith Shop' in 2002 for the MOC LEGO theme. It was very well done, even if Dan's design was slightly changed to make the set cheaper to the public. (He used some rare and odd colored bricks in his design) The problem with having the general public design LEGO sets is easy. There is liability in it. You would have to enter into contracts with each designer. It could cost lots of money more then in-house designs. There is extra time involved, and LEGO would not be in control of the process. It wouldn't work well outside of a VERY un-often special event. -Brett
  6. The Mall of America LIC almost got some from a backstock from Billund, but they never showed up. We keep hearing about them coming...but alas...nothin'. :( Maybe once Orlando expands.... -Brett
