Could be. The buildings in the photograph have many askew structures. The letters in the jazz sign are not appropriately aligned. The roof on the 'pizzeria' is tilted, the umbrella on the table is crooked. The baseplates don't look consistent across the buildings. The color scheme is absolutely bonkers. Either that or you have to ask what were they thinking.

Yeah I think it's mostly related to some of the coloring choices and the way the train looks, not necessarily about the components or building techniques.

Don't get me wrong, I am enthused about the City of Lanterns set and really like some of the Easter eggs in there. However I just can't seem to shake the juniors vibe I'm getting from some aspects of the build, I wish it was a little less dumbed down.
