Zblj, your video is amazing. I didn't know that something like this is possible in LDD. I always thought that for these kind of this you need to use SR 3D Builder. You mean like this? First three pictures what happens to them when you keep rotating them for awhile. Like you said, they "become invisible". I would like to mention that if you try flex them at certain spot, they will start shaking (last three pictures). They won't stay like that, they will return to last shape (more less). Also, it's possible to connect other pieces to them like 61252 even if they are "invisible".- 27 replies

I believe that 85861 is somehow broken... Please look at these pictures first. (Note: Dimensions of all these pictures are approx. "2000 x 1300" because I didn't know whether it would be visible on approx. "800 x 600" so I purposely made them large. Also that's the reason why they are linked.) Posted image Posted image Posted image Posted image Posted image Posted image Posted image Posted image How to do it By using "technique" seen in last picture we can place 85861 (gray) through the snap on these bricks (red): 2476, 4729, 2458, 6232, 6249, 30000, 41532, 32054. And yes, this shouldn't be possible. Remember when I reported that 85861 can go inside 71137 / 40620? It seem that it can be done with more bricks... Posted image (in the picture: 2566 back, 74698 middle left, 32530 middle right, 11090 front) Also it works with bricks like 10197, little bit into 6536 .... Geometry (collision box?) of the bottom ring / hole (that connects to stud) on 85861 isn't the best. Collision error on (from left to right) 30367, 6143, 92947, 43898, 11213. Posted image Several Technic pieces can go (a little bit) inside above mentioned bricks. Notice that tiny red part sticking out of that gray 32123 bush. 32123 Bush can be inserted way too inside the 30324 Wheel. Posted image (Close up) In the picture, there are two 32123 bushses. Green, which is correcly placed and red that normally shouldn't go inside past the green one. None of them will LDD recognize as collision error. Link to lxf file -

Not a severe bug... Parts 71137 Exhaust pipe w. grooves and 40620 Exhaust pipe m/snap can be inserted way too inside the 4070 Angular brick. Clipping issues between 71137 / 40620 and 4070 (2370 x 1325) Left side: 71137, right side: 40620 top, green - how it should be bottom, red - how it's possible to insert them into 4070 / how it shouldn't be Part 85861 PL. Round 1x1 w. trough hole can go inside 71137 / 40620. Clipping issues between 85861 and 71137 / 40620 (3148 x 826) Top: 71137, bottom: 40620 Left, green: how it should be Middle, red: how it's possible to insert it into 71137 / 40620, how it shouldn't be Link to LXF file LDD doesn't recognize them as bugs / collision errors, it's possible to open file without them being removed. (and also these aren't new bugs, these also worked in previous brick library 1264) -

Hi, I'll try to explain it to you but first of all, have look at the picture. Click on picture for full size (2856 x 1256) In the picture you can see three minifigs. Take a look at the heads. Left: normal minifigure without cape Middle: how should minifigure with cape looks like Right: how LDD allow to connect head on minifigure body if there is cape on it As you can see (right minifig), that is the only way to add head to minigure body because the cape won't allow to slide it lower So, if we want to have it like the middle minifig has, we can do two things: 1. LXFML edit (harder - modify file) 2. bbqqq's trick #4 (easier - done in LDD) For this scenario, I used trick #4c So, how it works? Do you see these 1x2 plates with sticks (2540) with 1x1 plates w/ holder (6019) connected on them? Look at the difference between them. Both sides of 2540 plate stick have about 5 snapping/connecting points. The left lighter green have a tiny space between the 6019 and the holder? (that bit holding the stick) whereas the right darker green doesn't have it. You can move the 6019 to create that tiny space on end of the stick or next to that "stick holder" (that thing holding the stick on plate) You might be asking "that's okay buddy but what are you trying to say?" Have look at the next picture. Click on picture for full size (3218 x 974) This is how it's done: Step 1, select minifig head and 6019 plate. Step 2, while both of them are selected, hold 6019 plate and move it down (little bit lower to eliminate that tiny space on 2540). Step 3, move the 6019 plate little bit higher to create that tiny space between 6019 and 2540. And repeat until minifig's head is how it suppose to be And that is the trick. Being able to move bricks about that tiny little bit without needing to use external editors, just by two bricks. Well, I had similiar "problem" year ago too: http://www.eurobrick...50#entry1552813 check the third spoiler, feel free to download the file, it still works click with hinge tool around the 2555 holder plate, you should see small box around the cable and then hold left or right arrow for awhile, you should get similiar result -

Actually, it does with more bricks, you have to play with it to fit it Both of them are same thing just flipped. I couldn't put the 2780 peg (red) into 64178 (light gray) frame because of the 1x12 plate is "blocking" it. Removing the plate solve the problem and plate can be put back. Funny thing, you can and can't place the other peg into it. Flip the peg (2x up arrow) and it can't be inserted into it, do it again and it become placeable. Funny isn't it? (Also placing bricks is somewhat unreliable on contraption shown in picture.) EDIT: somehow managed to place both pins into 32184's. Check the attachment. And (bottom) 59426 cross axle 5,5 can be incorrectly placed into 6585 conical wheel block bug_check_000.lxf

Try put the 59426 into 75535, 11458. You should be able to place "the stop" inside them. Left (red): what @captainmib probably wanted say, the stop can be inserted into some bricks like 75535, 11458, 6536, 32068 and few other. The way it shouldn't work Right (green): How it should work

Hi, I found few little errors: 1. 2339 BRICK W. BOW 1X5X4 + ROOF TILEs (side note: spoiler usage is just 'prevention' against 'unnecessary' loading and stretching page, that's the reason of picture in spoilers, The direct links for pictures are there just in case, if the pictures or spoiler itself is causing trouble and removing it / them would be required) The pictures speaks for they self. 50746 ROOF TILE 1X1X2/3 and 92946 ROOF TILE 1X2 45° W 1/3 PLATE are just going into the 2339/76768 BRICK. 2. Right and Left Shells The 41749 RIGHT SHELL and 41750 LEFT SHELL can't be placed (as in right side of picture) against each other. It is possible to have it like 41751 (full) shell, but not if you invert one of them. The reason is some weird collision of the edge, Moving one of the bricks up, down, further of the other brick is possible. It happens when the bricks are in the same height level. Moving one of them a little higher / lover (approx. half height of plate or one plate) will make it placeable. You're right... Ok I didn't tried all flex part, only 55668 and 76270 (cables). SO... I connected 55668 and / or 76270 into 2555 (plate with holder), that is connected 4282 (2x16 plate). This allowed me to use Hinge tool, to rotate them. The one issue with it is, that only a small part (piece) of cable can be rotated only near the place where is connected (unlike the non-flex cables which allows rotate them as whole part, not small piece). BUT, rotating them using left and right arrows for few second will make them more thin. Longer you hold arrow, thinner they would be (picture 1,2,3 third spoiler). After few seconds they will start reverting into original shape. The funny thing is, that the 2555, 61252 (like in the picture) can be still connected into the 'invisible' part of the cable. Sometimes it doesn't recognize the connectivity (pic 2 shorter cable, at the time, by moving the cable to right, it could connect into that green plate by that end, but the part with the 'bulges' couldn't, like "there isn't nothing to connect although there is "dark azure" 2555). Using the Flex tool will revert the 55668 into 'original' piece (except for 76270, it will start acting strange / crazy) For the crazy behavior, clicking with flex tool into "right" place will trigger it. Although, it is a "hop and trop" game (sometimes it happen, sometimes it just revert to last shape or slightly change shape). For me / my cases it was: Pic. 3: clicking with flex tool on place about the green 1x1 plate is, should trigger "strange / crazy" behavior as shown in pic. 4 (more likely to happen) Pic. 5 (+ alternative): clicking with flex tool on place about the two "medium blue 1x1 plate with holder" are, may trigger shown situation (less likely to happen, it may change right "the invisible" side of cable, for me it happened with "invisible part", it also may just change the thickness of right side, then I couldn't recreate situation) Pic. 6: extreme case, only one time happened Honorable to mention, that last three picture shows, what happen when you click with flex tool on the cable. It just start "shaking", but clicking again will restore them into their last shape (or just slightly modify it). So that mean, they cant stay in shapes as shown in last three pictures. Also, saving them in shown shapes, and reopening file won't show any error. (It also goes with first point in this post) And rotating something on these flex cables may screw up whole creation by strangely rotating it into all ways. Everything that I mentioned in this post is attachment, so if someone would like to look at these, there they are. EDIT: All large images have been replaced by small thumbnails. bugs_A2.lxf

Weren't there the 3x3 plate? Today, my brick database got updated into 835.3 and I can't find it. Did they removed it? (only curious)

edit: ADHO15 was faster but... Unable to add anything into 4855 Roof tile (as shown on the picture), everywhere else works fine. It was possible in previous version.

After 14 and half hours of rendering on 1920x1080 0.3AA (Intel I5 760), the result is awesome. But I have a question: "Titanium metallic" color on my render seems to be somehow..."oiled" (the rainbow spectrum happening if is water combined with oil) instead of solid gloss color. Is this supposed to happen? -

Yes. After prompt for driver (that I allowed), installation froze and seconds later showed me error "...timeout. Please restart computer and try it again...". After closing installation and trying restart PC, it just froze > hard restart. After boot up, installation was successful but didn't asked for driver. -

Could someone help me please? I installed LDD2PovRay and PovRay and after set the "Output path for includes " in LDD2PovRay it shows me "Unable to add mounting point. Incorrect parameter.". I tried run it as administrator and it shows me the same error. After converting model, it create all the files needed for it but PovRay can't find them. Even I add Library_Path="(path to the files)" into PowRay.ini and nothing. I'm using Win 7 64bit. What am I doing wrong? -
I don't know if someone hasn't posted this, but... The 87083 "Cross Axle 4M with end stop" and 55013 "Cross Axle 8m with end stop" fits into 2444 "Technic Bearing Plate 2x2" which is impossible to do in real life. If I have to be honest and it's my opinion, these illegal connects doesn't need to be fixed. At least for me and (maybe) people who make their projects only in LDD. It's good for those who would like to rebuild it into real life and because they can't do something like picture above, they doesn't need to solve problems like "how do I rebuild it/replace it". And a small bug: connecting the 98138 "Flat Tile 1x1, Round" to side "pin" on 4081 "Lamp Holder" create a small space which you can see through. (click on the thumbnail for full size, it's better to see it)

I found a small bug with 2412 Radiator grille that cause crash. Basically, you can place more than 1 brick into same place: 1. place the 2412 into some place but click two times on the same place 2. switch into selection tool and grab it, you'll see there was 2 brick in the same place (brick in brick) 3. remove them and repeat 1. step 4. mark them all (CTRL+A or with mouse) and try move them 5. LDD probably crashed Also you can do strange things with them like this: top brick is for reference, bottom bricks are... well, there are 5 of them, you can place them like on the picture but after saving and reopening file, LDD will detect it as illegal (Also, please click to the picture for original size, is better to see it)

Last days I'm meeting with slightly misplaced bricks like the 93606 Brick with bow 2x4 or 61678 Brick with bow 1x4. When I connect it with another brick, it do this: (How it look after putting it, note the 93606 is slightly back so there is a edge and cannot be connected another brick behind it/or you can't connect it ahead of brick (ex. flat tile or any bigger brick unless is corrected)) How it should looks like: (After "correcting" note there is no edge, it's smooth) (Also, please click to the picture for original size, it's better to see it) Does anyone have the same problem?

Except the "temp lxf files" and 2 files that's I've been working on last days, it looks like it worked or at least it looks faster. Thanks, much appreciated. (Temp lxf files - files where is done most of my work so that mean, it is saved over 20 times because if I create a file (for ex. Ambulance.lxf) and stuck in "creativity" or forgot/doesn't look what i wanted, I simply remove it and can be replaced by other model without deleting/replacing file --- only if someone wondering what I meant) (only a small note - importing one of these temps into another one cause LDD crash)

Hello, I have a quite big problem with LDD that I probably caused myself. Background of the problem: I was trying import a LXF file with a more than 12K (12000+) bricks into new file where was approx. same amount of bricks (crazy, isn't it?). It was so slow so I tried change the priority in Task manager from normal to real time (even more crazy). After few seconds LDD crashed without error. Consequences: LDD up to 1 minute is loading file with only 1 brick and the same for the other files. Also this same goes for import and save. (The loading bar fills up fastly but after it is filled LDD "stops working" and after a minute work normally) Only files created before this "accident" loads, import normally. I don't know what else could do this problem so I think, things I mentioned above caused this because after reinstall the problem still exist. Can someone help me please?

I think, in older brick version (brick database) was able to connect but I can't remember. But, there is still a "problem". You can put (for example: 32278) Technic Beam into 2350 and 57779 but you can't put 2351 into both of these arms. In real life, 2351 can be inserted into 2350 (example: 6361-1: Mobile Crane). I got 2350 and 2351 from 4668-1: Outrigger Construction Crane, so I know it is possible. This happens when you try rotate some of these bricks. Removing one of the brick solve the problem. I can try make some better photos or if you (or somebody) have this robot and some "Wall elements" (2362 or 4864 or something like these two) you can try it if the robot will fit betewen the "wall elements". (Note: These robot was used in the 2006-2007 theme "Exo-force) -

Hello, i found some bugs: 1: geometry bug in "4151 Grid plate" When i was trying build "7213 Off-Road Fire Truck & Fireboat", i found bug (possible geometry error) in 4151 Grid plate. As you can see on the picture, at one side, that thing what is in green square, can be placed bellow 4151 but at another side it can't be placed. As I found, 4151 have two "bad" and two "good" sides (last part of picture showing good in green and bad in red sides) 2.telescope error I was unable to add 2351 telescope to 57779 telescope arm. I don't have any save with this so i can't test if LDD remove it. 3.error when i was trying rotate this on my model (tow truck), LDD crashed BUT when I removed the arm from car, it will rotate without any error EDIT: when I got both plates with fork, and move it "totally down" it will stuck and sometimes it crash LDD, but if is one of them removed it will work without problem 4.robot inaccuracy maybe you ask "Buddy, what are you talking about?" (note: my name in English is buddy, friend). I'll try explain it. If you build "Bad robot" and grab his higher parts (all except legs) and try move them, you'll see, you can move to be more on left or right. If you build something like in the picture you'll see, on one side can be add for example wall element 4215 but you can't add it to another side. As you can see in photo bellow, in real life is possible to do this. It looks like the robot arms or his body is oversized in LDD. I would like to ask, if TLG could sightly edit that robot to fit between these brick. I added an LFX file so you can try this. (if the picture are too big , size or resolution tell me)
