Thanks for the frankness, you will be able to understand that I don't agree with you, this is the most real castle you can find made with lego, I don't care if there are panels with stickers, the important thing is the result and the cost (surely this wouldn't cost 399 euros...). I am also capable of making cylindrical towers with bricks, but I find them absurd and the result would be a very, very expensive castle... bye, take care

The set you see is inspired by the concentric castles of the thirteenth century, with rounded towers to better resist the blows of the catapults and trebuchets (2.621 total parts). The Castle is inspired by maximum realism and above all and as always by maximum playability (if you don't play with minifigures you'll only have half fun!). My latest medieval creation is on Lego Ideas, vote for it if you like it, and spread the word, thanks. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/d1484eaa-6e52-46d0-8c3f-5040d0b49c52

Thanks for the tips, Actually I find day to day operations very boring, I find the military part more interesting ;-) ...(the Roman castrum was repetitive...). Not necessarily more complex means more beautiful, unfortunately I think the race to build in a strange way has gotten out of hand on Lego Ideas... For me the shape and size are perfect, unfortunately I will have to adapt to the standard of... Lego Ideas, or maybe I never will :-D

This project is ispired by history (and by the camp of the ancient Romans), without neglecting playability, please rate it on LEGO Ideas, thank you. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/82bd3797-cd52-41b4-a135-a91af3f478f4

Premise: the set is deliberately open inside to ensure maximum playability with the minifigures. El Castillo Real (Royal) is inspired by a true 16th century Caribbean fortress. We have four bastions equipped with guns at the corners, a lookout and signal tower, a well (to collect rainwater), two entrances, one from the beach and one directly from the sea across a jetty. The flora and fauna are very rich, we have a shark, a giant octopus, a crocodile, crabs, seagulls, a parrot and a scorpion among the coconut palms and the vegetation that in one part of the island is also composed of mangroves. The Castillo is well guarded by arquebusiers and musketeers, the Governor has rich quarters, while the soldiers have to be satisfied as always. There is no shortage of prison for some unfortunate pirate. Rate it, thanks. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/08e6287c-4b6a-496d-a5cf-7a43d494026f

Vintage Classic Medieval Castle 2 (the revenge :-) This set collects the best of LEGO Castles of the past. We have a moat, the drawbridge protected by two mighty towers, the walls with the towers covered at the corners. The majestic access to the fortress with the castle gate, the keep that stands on the rocky hill. There is no shortage of supplies, the blacksmith, the classic animals raised in castles, the warehouses infested with mice, the prison, the party room, the lord's room with fireplace. The archers, armigers and knights complete everything, and of course the drawbridge and the castle gate are opened and closed by a thread, like in the old LEGO castles. RATE IT THANKS :-) https://ideas.lego.com/projects/c3abd733-e0d5-4f7c-ac19-313c39cbebda

[LEGO Ideas] The fortress of Theodosius
_Avgvstvs_ replied to _Avgvstvs_'s topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The Moc is inspired by the walls of Theodosius, furniture and so on, I'm always inspired by the same period (5th century AD). A thick door protected by towers allows access to the first courtyard of the fort. A second more imposing door surrounded by equally imposing towers allows access to the fortress. On the ground floor of the same we find the warehouse, the kitchen, the stable and the access staircase to the first floor. On the first floor, we find the throne room, the emperor's room, the triclinium, furnished connecting corridors and the staircase leading to the terrace of the walls. The fortress has two large scorpions that throw darts, two more stairs allow access to the top of the towers. Rate it, thanks https://ideas.lego.com/projects/3e553b27-ebab-436a-aef7-fe8f88f879c1 -

[LEGO Ideas] Vintage Classic Medieval Castle

Unlike other Mocs the structure is real, there are not too many pieces and you can easily access the parts of the structure to use the minifigures. For me it is perfect and if LEGO put it on the shelves I would have already taken it; instead many LEGO Castles Ideas that I have seen even at 10,000 likes I do not like and I would not buy them, in addition to the beauty we must also consider if the project is feasible and at what cost. How many people are willing to spend 300 or 500 eur to buy a set? It must be a very requested set like the Death Star (500 eur) or the Millenium Falcon that costs 700 eur for it to have business ... In my humble opinion -
This is a set especially dedicated to all fans of LEGO castles of the 80s and 90s. The structure is inspired by Harlech Fortress. The castle opens and allows you to easily play with the minifigures. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/dd39e1ca-db94-4634-9f45-ec8a15f1da93 Thanks to all who will support him.

Hi my stage name is Avgvstvs and my avatar is my favorite lego minifigures character. I've been passionate about LEGO bricks since I was 8, and now that I'm 46 I still like to collect them and play with my 8 and 11 year olds (I merged all the sets into a mega castle that sooner or later I'll post on the forum). I have several sets of the 80's Lego castles, recent Star Wars, and various minifigures (I especially like the ones with an ancient Rome theme). I created some sets on Lego Ideas, and if possible I would like to share them on this forum, maybe they will also be an inspiration for some of you, as indeed I am also inspired by the projects I have seen posted on this forum. I do not want to bore you further, I greet you all again, see you soon.
