  1. Holy smokes. 75060 has 1984 pieces and that feels massive. I'm really interested to see how the scale changes with another 1,000+ pieces.
  2. If there is a 2HY set in 2025 as rumors purport, I bet it's the big ticket Back Friday set. Maybe something from Gondor... ?
  3. I bought the Brickheadz. Mostly as a completionist move, but I do like the aesthetic. I wonder how many more they'll produce?
  4. Understandable if you already own it. The previous model came out over a decade ago, though, and I did not have a chance to pick it up so easy buy for me this time around. I'd imagine this will have a greater level of detail than 79003, but we'll see.
  5. Nice to have a set number! Can't wait to see price point and piece count. If it's just Bag End, that'd be great. However, if it's Bag End + some of Hobbiton... might be nice, unless that bloats the price. Also, Brickfanatics reports Rivendell won't be retiring until at least the end of 2026. Great news for anyone worrying about an "early" retirement and what it might mean for the future of LOTR LEGO.
  6. How solid is this Balrog rumor? I feel like it's getting a lot of discussion but haven't seen anything from a reliable leaker yet.
  7. https://www.stonewars.de/news/lego-herr-der-ringe-bruchtal-10316-eol/ It would seem Rivendell will be around longer than some have suggested. I don't think I've ever seen Promobricks and Stonewars report contradicting info like this. I guess an error every once in awhile is understandable.
  8. Man, if this is true we have to wait a whole year... I'd almost rather not have the news and be blissfully ignorant. I wonder if it will be the big-ticket Black Friday item for next fall.
  9. Same. I wonder though - will it be Bag End or Bag End + a portion of Hobbiton? The former would almost certainly be in the $250-$350 range, but the latter might push $500. I'd prefer just Bag End, but a portion of Hobbiton would be neat display too.
  10. All great points. Right now I think it's about $500 or so in the U.S. on Bricklink, but I could see it going up for all the reasons you mentioned. And, I guess I don't mind the "Spaceship" vs. "Slave 1" deal. It does bother me a bit because I prefer accuracy/fidelity to the source material. But, as one person pointed out earlier, the main draw is the model itself. Minifigs, display plaque, etc. are peripheral matters - everything hinges on the display power of the UCS models for me.
  11. I wonder: does the release of a UCS Jango's Slave 1 decrease the value of 75060? Or raise it? Boba's ship stays exclusive, but then again you get basically the same guts and frame with a new paint job with Jango's.
  12. Yeah, I think it's one of those tihngs you'll have to see in person to get a fair sense of scale. From what I see it looks fantastic
  13. How reliable is TandDBricks? Also - "... stands not alone..." - Helm's Deep, anyone? Yeah, the references are probably just general, but if not...
  14. Any word whatsoever on when Sail Barge images should begin to appear?
  15. Me waiting for pictures of the Sail Barge to emerge --->
  16. Have to think the Burrow will be officially revealed this coming Monday or Tuesday. That's right about two weeks before release/Back to Hogwarts. I hope when they do finally reveal it, we'll get to see the rumored Borgin and Burke's GWP as well.
  17. Totally agree. I have nothing on which to base this beyond a gut feeling and seeing what I perceive to be the success of the larger models so far, but I really do think they'll come around and make play-scale sets in the near future.
  18. I have gobs of wands - filling out the set with them should be no problem. I'm really excited for this set. The interior honestly doesn't look much bigger than the system scale set, but the details look pretty cool, especially the fireplace.
  19. I'm not sure how much I'd actually be willing to pay when push comes to shove, but if a Minas Tirith set were good enough, I think I might actually be willing to pay $1,000... yikes. I just typed that...
  20. I know! Exciting possibilities abound.
  21. https://www.brickfanatics.com/lego-star-wars-dioramas-dozen-sketch-models/ Well, I asked about LSW dioramas a little while back. This article would seem to suggest the LSW dioramas might continue next year. Dioramas in general are apparently "very popular" and Cesar Soares said he must have "made at least a dozen different ones from across several movies and several TV shows" (for Star Wars, I assume - the quote doesn't say it explicitly). This is good news.
  22. I forget - is LEGO done with SW dioramas? I didn't see any in the January wave leak, and I thought I heard somewhere TPM would be the last. It'd be a shame if it were done, I've really liked that sub-theme.
  23. Lol I would actually take that over Onyx Cinder That's fair. The word that came to mind when I first saw it was "jagged".
  24. Skeleton Crew ship might be one of the most unsightly LSW ships I've ever seen. Maybe seeing the show will endear it to me.
  25. Not necessarily. There's a slight pattern with two now, but definitely not enough to guarantee another. I was just wondering if there were another one coming, when people's guess is that we'd start hearing about it. Rivendell and Barad-Dur were released about 15 months apart. If they were to release another one based on this gap, I suppose it'd be around fall of 2025, but I'm not sure when news might leak. If I'm being honest, I'm just craving another set and want to talk about what might be on the horizon lol.
