  1. Althior laughs. "It is if you're here for Demons and Killing. Trust me, I've done my fair share of both. The Archdemon Abraxas almost killed me a few years back. Just got back from a nice meeting with him too. Eubrics gotta be the demon hotspot of the world, I'll tell you,"
  2. "He's less helpful than he looks. Mostly he just criticizes me..." Finnegan sighs "He doesn't sound like an interesting person. Being mounted on that staff seems like the best thing that ever happened to him," He leans back in his chair. "So what brings you to Eubric? Seems like you had fun with people like Yorick."
  3. Althior signs up for the Fields of Glory Althior chuckles. "Seems like someone finally understands," He looks to Finnegan. "Who, Finnegan? He's just, well..." "A helpful hand," He says, blatantly giving a look to Althior. "Let's just go with that." He says, half-heartedly, "Who would your decomposing friend be?" He looks to the skull.
  4. Althior looks up to the girl. "Althior," he says, simply. What was that about nobody bothering him again? "I wouldn't necessarily say I am with Heroica. Hel, there's more people here who want me gone than who want me to stay..." He inspects the girl, inquisitively. "... though I'm guessing you don't know much about that. You look like one of the new recruits. Seems like we have more and more of them trickling in these days,"
  5. It's possible that the license could be renewed with the new spinoff, but so far I've heard nothing, and I wouldn't expect to hear anything for a while.
  6. Althior walks trough the doors of the hall, Finnegan in step behind him. He makes his way up the stairs to his usual spot in the bar. He grabs himself a bowl of hot soup as he sits in the corner. Leaning his head against the cold wall, he hears Scheherazade's constant blabbering. He sighed heavily, as if the noise of the hall was a soothing lullaby. It is not until he hears it the phrase "Mindflayer" that he opens his eyes. Had to let the Veterans in on this, didn't they? He sits forward, placing his head in his hands. Damn secret was going to spread like wildfire now. He lifts himself up, surveying the hall. Place looked quiet, he thought. Not a bad thing, no. Less chance for him being bothered, right? He looks to Finnegan. "Did we really leave the Lotus for this place? I guess it's free, but there could still be some flavor in this soup. Hel, there could be flavor in this hall too," he says, under his breath, "It doesn't seem too bad to me. I mean, I like her skull..." He gestures over to Calamity. Althior smirks.
  7. +1 to Oky for a speedy delivery.
  8. Lots of what I have to say echoes that of Flipz. I really enjoyed being on this quest. Althior has always been heavily involved with the Ziegfried story arch, and it was nice to see that story progress with him to witness it. I think the most impressive part of the quest was the puzzles. The Tea Party was beyond difficult, but I think the rest of your puzzles were fair. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that it was clear how much work you put into them, and it's greatly appreciated. Contrary to popular belief, I did work on them behind the scenes, but didn't often get anything substantial enough to post. I'll definitely re enforce Flipz's point: the lack of undead. The entire draw to the Necromancer is their undead army, and taking that away takes away a huge part of the playing experience. I can understand a quest with multiple non-raisable enemies, but to delete them entirely until the very end of the quest just doesn't work. There's so many parts of the class that don't work without undead: the SHIELD skill, undead sacrifice, critical hit... Trying to replace that aspect with the toys was admirable, but we were too afraid to use them, plus that it still didn't transfer to Althiors rolls. Unlike Flipz, however, I really did enjoy the sets. They all looked basic enough to be a child's dollhouse, but they still were packed full of detail. I did like the last set, too. It may not have had the same feel of the scene you were trying to create, but it was the best you could do with LEGO bricks. As for the party, I would say that it did have its flaws. I thoroughly enjoyed the beginning banter in the quest, but it did sizzle out after that. For me, the party dynamic never really clicked (which was problem for me in phases of 100 as well). Part of this may have been because of Masked's absence, but even between me and Arthur, the relationship never seemed concrete. If Alexis had been around more, I feel like she and Althior could have established more of a relationship with gangin up on Arthur, but it just didn't happen. That also being said, I did enjoy playing with Athur on this quest. Arthur has always been an interesting character for Althior. He's one of the few people that the Necromancer has been truly human with. Alexis falls into that category, but she's grown so amoral it doesn't challenge Althior that much. Arthur, however, is a different case. He and Althior have been through so much of the same experiences, Althior sees him as a reflection of himself. I think that Althior hates that Arthur is "naive", but there's till parts of Arthur Althior wants to become. Overall, the quest had flaws, but was still very good. Thanks, Sandy!
  9. Right when I thought I'd found a use for my Garnet Lamp of Summoning.
  10. "Alright, I'll take back my Elxirs, Grand Tonics, and Potions. I'll also take the gold, if no one minds, and everything else goes back to Arthur." He sighs, hearing that the veterans have probably heard of the news. "Even if the Veterans have heard, this information stays between us, at least for now. Include Gibbin if you really want to, Regulus, but right now it should stay very, very confidential, got it?" Althior steps out the gate of the manor as he begins his trek around town, Finnegans faint glow following behind him. He stops as he is halfway down the street. Stuffing his gloved hands into the pockets of his coat, he turns around to take one last glance at the manor. Was his job done in protecting the boy? Only time would tell, but he still had some feeling that he would venture into the manor once more. He turns back forward, continuing his walk down the street with a newfound sense of accomplishment. The Lotus should be open at this hour, he thinks.
  11. Nice to see you back. Just wanted a fresh start with a new character?
  12. Althior chuckles. "I bet you would like to see that happen to me. Nevertheless, the gesture is appreciated." He eyes the helmet before stuffing it in his bag, "Won't catch me dead wearing it though."
  13. "Gibbin? I'm not going to that rat bastard for anything. Whatever she is, I'm sure I can handle her. I've got a debt to repay her anyways..." He looks to Bluto. "Who all knows about this?"
  14. "Dull adults? I'll take Deaddy Bear then. He reminds me of me a little bit," he turns to Bluto. "So you're telling me that this witch has hidden this from everyone for thousands of years? Do you think she's coercing the actions of Ulric then? I don't know how much of the inner sanctum of the Wolfgang you've seen," Althior turns to Arthur with a look of seriousness in his eye as he brings his voice down a level. "I need you to leave the Veterans out of this. Until we know more about what she can do, they cannot be trusted, especially if there truly is a mole among them." He takes a moment to pause. "You're still the same naive kid I tried to help out all those years ago, but I'm trusting that you know I'm right here." "That's the closest you'll get to a compliment..." Finnegan mutters begrudgingly from the corner of the room. He had seemingly been there the whole time. Althior rolls his eyes. "I was missing your snide comments,"
  15. Seeing as there's a four or five month gap between JW and Avengers, I'm guessing we'll have to wait until we're well into summer for anything substantial.
  16. I wouldn't actually be too upset if he were. It saves me from getting the flagship for him, plus it's a figure that actually goes with the sets we're getting. As cool as Hammond would be, he doesn't go with the JW sets.
  17. In all seriousness, I do feel like I need to mention the Ultron Drones for best figures. I ordered eight of them for $2 USD a piece off of BL the other day, and have to say they look awesome in an army.
  18. "I don't think you're like her, Bluto, but getting into people's minds? It's dangerous. You might not like what you find in there..." "Bluto hasn't tolde me anything yet, but I'm sure that he will." He looks to Bluto, coldly. He still had to honor his duty from Mnemosyne. it was one of the few things to keep him going from his failure at the Tower. "It's suited for Finnegan. Besides, I'm amoral, not a snob when it comes to fashion," he stutters at his out of character remark "What can I say? Finnegan is rubbing off on me,"
  19. Althior looked to Bluto, keeping his mouth shut. He waited for him to stop speaking before turning to Lilly, "Look, Lilly. Everything you did in your mind; taking down Abraxas, fighting your fears, that was all you! If these inner demons were in your mind already, then Bluto did what he had to do." He looks to Bluto "What Bluto needs to understand is that these powers come with a cost. Getting into people's minds and coercing their actions? No matter how noble the cause, it's a risky procedure," He pauses, reflecting on what's happened. "Where exactly did you acquire these powers, Bluto?" "Also, Lilly, could I have Pink Ribbon back?"
  20. I still think that even works better than the Bruce Wayne/Loki Head. Ultimate Ultron is my personal favorite. He blends in with the MCU figures, but he still looks enough like the comic version for my liking. For new figure, I really like the new Black Widow and Hawkeye. I do think QS with added leg printing is cool too.
  21. Or they're lazy, which we've seen plenty of times in the past.
  22. I don't really think there's a "go to" way to start a quest. I liked how Quest #116 started by going right into a battle, but I also liked how Quest #125 started with a lot of roleplay. It depends on the player and the circumstances I guess.
