  1. tandnbricks has confirmed there is no Marvel modular this year.. The Daily Planet is looking more and more realistic by the day
  2. I hope 76354 isn't this years modular just because the piece count is too low for a decent sized building. If so we have another X-Mansion on our hands. Hopefully the modular will be a 2HY set like the previous few years.
  3. It was discussed on Reddit over the summer with someone that worked with Lego, but Brick Clicker talks more in depth about it around the 7:25 mark. I wouldn’t worry so much about figures since these D2Cs use lots of new and exclusive prints and a building like the Daily Planet can get away with using civilians to fill up the model.
  4. What makes you say that? Educated guess? I was really hoping Oscorp would be out in a few years as a corner skyscraper modular since the proto-type of the Daily Planet was already built and probably put on hold due to the long shelf life of Daily Bugle and last year was the year for a corner.
  5. Does anyone remember when rumors for Arkham Asylum came out last year? I'm just curious on when we should expect 2026 rumors for the Super Hero modular
  6. Modular looks nice. Not my favorite but I think it'll pair well with Boutique Hotel, Assembly Square, Tudor Corner, and Brick Cross train station. Now I'm curious what the GWP will be and if it'll release on day 1 like last year. Hopefully it's a vehicle and not another vendor stand, but it's looking like Lego changed directions on the GWP.
  7. I feel as if every year the modular has some similarities with the other modulars including Ninjago. Daily Bugle was art deco architecture with a green newspaper stand while the police station was also art deco and a green newspaper stand. Sanctum was a corner with a green roof and tan walls, same as Boutique Hotel. Avengers Tower is a bit of an outlier, although the Jazz Club modular was originally slated to be a newspaper building so there may have been something similar originally. The next year the Natural History Museum not only shared similar architecture to the X-Mansion, but was on 1.5 baseplates. When the switch was made to DC for the Super Hero Modular buildings they continued the theme of a corner building every three years and made the ability to make it an inverted corner like the Ninjago modular building. If my observations are correct and not purely coincidental I'm guessing that next years Super Heroes Modular will match this years modular with a golden sphere on top of the main building. This prediction is paired with the rumor/leak of a previous Lego employee stating that the Lego Super Heroes team had developed a Daily Planet but decided to shelf the idea to instead release the Arkham Asylum due to the fact Batman sells better and it was the year of corner modular. Maybe I'm crazy and incredibly hopeful, but I think we can bet on a Daily Planet modular next year! Who's with me!?
  8. I don't know if it's a good thing vehicles aren't allowed, meaning Lego themselves will be designing the GWP vehicles, or a bad thing, meaning vehicles are a GWP of the past and they are fully invested in vendors for now on. I loved getting a classic gwp car with my modular building so I'm hoping they keep it up.
  9. Based off past years the UCS set has been hinted by sets in the first half of the year with minifigures to lower production costs and follows the theme of the icons modulars. My thought is another spiderman ucs modular with the release of miles, anti-venom and spot like oscorp or a fisk tower; and these buildings could be a corner similar to this last modular release.
  10. If next year is a modular X-mansion, I'm curious what they'll do to make it drastically different from the Modular museum other than the obvious differences like color and interior. I would imagine it would have to be 48x32 studs and feature a similar architecture style. That being said I've noticed the icons modular line and the marvel modular line have similar features such as the Daily Bugle and Police station both being an art deco architecture style and featuring a green newspaper stand, and the sanctum and boutique hotel both being a corner building and having similar color patterns. The outlier is the Jazz club and Avengers Tower but the Jazz club was originally supposed to be a newspaper press so maybe there was something similar there originally? Maybe I'm just over thinking it but I'm curious if this is done on purpose.
  11. Does anyone remember the rumored price of the X mansion in the survey? Just curious because if it was $300 I can see it becoming a modular but any less I would assume it'll stay as a facade/doll house
  12. The thought of a Chinese building modular is very exciting and before I checked this thread I told myself to keep my expectations low, but it would be a great 16x32 set. Either way I'm sure someone will be making a rebrickable model of it so it can fit in with the modular street. The rumors keep getting better and better!
  13. This is my original thought too which makes me hope that the quinjet can land on the tower although I shouldn't get my hopes up for that even though its not completely impossible. I've seen a few mocs recently of Avengers Tower housing the quinjet. Only time will tell..
  14. The AT is by far my most anticipated set of 2023 and I can't wait to see it, but part of my hopes that it doesn't leak so I my first look at it is in its best form. I don't know whats wrong with me, is this what growing up is??
  15. I feel as if I'm the only one hoping that this teaser isn't the new modular. It looks too similar to AS and I much rather something for our city that hasn't been done before like a hospital or museum. But to be honest no matter what it is or looks like I'll be buying it with the modular GWP come February. Also, speaking of two modulars a year, it's always been a dream of mine for them to release a large skyscraper modular every year or two in the summer to add some height to my city but the Marvel modulars have helped with that and I hope an IP modular is a trend that stays so that I can get a building twice a year, but not feel as if I need to break the bank to collect them all.
