2008 has been a fantastic year for lego, but I still prefer 2007. Is it just me or has this been the "year of the new molds?" There seems to be much more new parts this time around. There has been at least 2 new ranges (Indy and Agents) which needed whips and laptops and hats, as well as a new star wars sub theme (clone wars) which needed new hair and clone parts.

The Star Wars Comic Game-Season One

Maybe I'm just thinking that chapter 2 would be more interesting, with a continuous story not just a "NONE OF THIS EVER HAPPENED. BEQUIN WHO? LA LA LA" fingers in the ears type ending. The time machine project has been stopped and all the only ones that knew are either dead or us, the mutants only appeared on hoth and felucia as well (killed off by the cold on hoth and they fit in normally on felucia). there are loads of weird and stupid things in the SW universe. Jar Jar Binks for one Time travel is a weird subject, but i'd thought there would be a pre- arena Loken somewhere, but who knows, i'm not Dr who Sorry for being a bit pretentious for what essentially is a Star wars lego RP. see above for time travel comment. see above above ^ by interesting you mean full of plot holes then yeh Cheers mine has more explosions in it as well -

well... now you mention it you did, sorry :( It was fine until "There was a massive explosion of bright light..." don't get me wrong it was very imaginative and well written, but i'm not a fan of "It was all a dream" type endings and you've essentially retconned the entire story, does it mean there are two Lokens in the galaxy now? (the one with the group and the one on utapau.) Also, I know its just a story, but it cheapens MacK's/Xela's sacrifice(s) and bequin is technically alive which sort of destroys the whole point of killing her off. If you wanted to know what I would have done: That as the time machine exploded it created a localised "time bubble" inside the chamber that restores the group to as they were pre-grevious fight (i.e there would be two copies of the group, the ones killed by grevious and the time bubble restored ones). we all escape to outside the facility as the time machine collapses on its self. We all celebrate and a star destroyer vaporises the rest of the base from orbit. -
How did you like the Clone Wars TV series?
simonjedi replied to kill will's topic in Culture & Multimedia
The Clone Wars- Episode 109: Cloak of Darkness AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME. My favourite episode so far, it has ventress :D a some very shocking deaths, which shows this isn't actually a kids show. several lightsaber duels, Ahsoka having a bit of Anakin's personality. Gree, Luminara, spike from buffy and written by Paul Dini. To top it all off Lair of grevious next week. -
I think it is because we couldn't "relate" to most of the sets.Last year had iconic and memorable vehicles, but this wave didn't really have any of them. The BP had ships that were completely new, the games/show that the Jedi Starfighter and the Rouge Shadow appeared in wasn't out for another 7 months and the AT-PT had about 5 minutes of screen time. The hailfire droid was the most familiar vehicle released. The second wave was better, the fighter tank, spider droid and V-19 have been on screen since 2002. The gunship and AT-TE are redesigns of well known vehicles. Most thought the Twilight would only appear in the movie, and has a poor selection of figures, Magnaguard fighters were a film only creation (for now anyway). and the droid gunship is another 5 minutes of screen time figure.

Me and jim don't know everyone has returned, (as said in my post) we're slowly retreating out. I also used it to give the impression we have to destroy it soon, the seps have started their invasion of something, so we better hurry. Imagine theres a floor underneath with tens of thousands of battledroids/ tanks and stuff ready to enter a portal, I look forward to the final. don't disappoint i'm sure it'll be excellent. might be a bit premature, but how about a new type of battle droid (that look oddly similar to the droids in next years BP) -

Loken crouched behind what small cover there was available and helped the clones to hold the tide of droids. A clone died in a hail of enemy fire. Jim ran to the opposite side of the hall way and joined in the fireteam. "JIM," Garviel shouted "AM I GLAD TO SEE YOU, WHERE THE HELL IS EVERYONE?" "THEY JUMPED THROUGH THE TIME PORTAL" He shouted back "DON'T ASK ME WHY I DON'T KNOW." Another clone died, which meant there was 5 clones left including Rex. "REX, WE'LL HAVE TO BLOW THE CHARGES, IT'LL HOPEFULLY WEAKEN THE BASE EVEN MORE, WHICH SHOULD CAUSE THE TIME MACHINE AND THE BASE TO COLLAPSE ON ITS SELF." "WHAT? JIM EVERYONE ELSE HAS GONE THROUGH THE PORTAL, THEY COULD HAVE ENDED UP ANYWHERE. WE HAVE TO GIVE THEM A CHANCE TO GET BACK." Loken protested. "THEY COULD BE DEAD BY NOW, THOUSANDS OF SEPARATISTS WENT THROUGH AS WELL, YOU KNOW THEY WOULD GLADLY SACRIFICE THEIR LIVES TO PROTECT THE REPUBLIC" Loken sighed, Jim had a point, he would have had and almost did several times. "FINE, REX DO WHAT HE SAYS ON HIS MARK, REST OF US GIVE THEM COVERING FIRE AND BEGIN RETREAT TO THE OUTSIDE" The rest of the clones signalled confirmation, and began to retreat. "REX HIT IT" shouted Jim as he began to run. "YES SIR" Rex replied and pressed the detonator. So starts the beginning of the end... -
Woolworths now have up to 50% off everything now. when I went this afternoon it was 20% off Lego, which is at least a saving.

ah sorry that it looked like I insulted your intelligence, about the mocs and stuff. when i read the title i thought it would be a display of models you've created yourself, not all your sets on display. You have a very impressive collection though. -

Kit Fisto has fallen over :P Pics are way to big, can you resize them, they're slw to load even on my net connection. EDIT: I have to admit i'm slightly disapointed i was expecting mocs and diorama's instead of a collection of sets for display. Jango and R2 look impressive though, did you build them yourself? -
I'd love a free roaming LEGO hogwarts, based on the first 3 books/film. Like the recent EA games have been released as. I'd love a reboot of the HP franchise as well.

"Open up, you stupid piece of junk" Loken grumbled, he had reached the exit and was trying to escape. A whoosh of air and the sound of footsteps, told him that Bequin had found him. He ignited Adams lightsaber, and turned around. "How cute" chucked Bequin "He thinks he is a jedi" and ignited her lightsaber. "I'll go easy on you Garvi, give you the impression that you have a chance"and she struck. Loken easily blocked it and returned another strike back, the battle continued, with Beqin purposely acting easy on him, ignoring strikes that would have ended the fight easily, Loken was getting quite good at it, not master Yoda skill, but good enough for him. He saw an opening and lunged forward, piercing through her heart, she looked at her wound and then Loken in surprise, "You're a better shot than you think, right in the same place as you did before, many.. years..ago,.. many years" she fell, and never got back up. Loken, stood there watching her for so long, expecting her to get back up, but she never did. He grabbed Adam's and Bequin's Lightsabers and left the warehouse. Better death for Bequin? -

Loken stumbled around in the dark, trying to escape Bequins determined wrath, he had escaped into a warehouse, that was out of power due the the destroyers destruction. He hid behind a crate and began to patch himself up, the lightsaber wound was incredably close to his heart. Uncomfortably close. He still had Adams lightsaber clutched to his hand, but he no idea why he had grabbed it, he wasn't a jedi, he wouldn't last 5 minutes in battle. Muffling his shouts of pain as he drove a bacta needle through his arm, he heard bequin's footsteps, her lightsaber humming and illuminating the dark and the occasional crate she forced pushed out of the way. "I know you're in here Garvi," she toyed "Its just us two now, no one to help you and no escape" She was close. Garviel had to go before she had her revenge, he stood up and ran. -
Wall-E - 10/10. fantastic animation, excellent soundtrack, funny, sad, romantic, etc. in all the right ways. The first 45 minutes of the film are pretty much perfect, even with absolutely no dialog. one of my top 5 Movies of all time

I love season 1, especially "homecoming" onwards. Favorite episodes are "5 years gone" (45 minutes of sheer awesome badass ness) and "company man." I found "how to stop..." a little disappointing though. season 2 is a bit boring, and there's too much of the same elements that bored me in S1 season 3 while mostly good is a bit all over the place in terms of retcons and writing and character development

Its to hold the wing connectors in the the same place while the wing is being attached.

The momentary lapse in Beqin's concentration gave Loken the window to escape, he side stepped out of the way and began to run, Bequin noticed "Not this time!" she yelled throwing her lightsaber at him. the lightsaber pierced through Garviel stomach. Garviel cried out in pain and fell on the floor. Beqin looked around and smiled at the shocked look on everyones's faces. she walked over to Loken. using the force to return her lightsaber to her arm she held it over her head "I've waited a log time for this she taunted" and drove her lightsaber to his throat. It never reached him, Adam had blocked her strike. Bequin incredibly annoyed, used the force to pick him up and flinged him against the wall. Escaping again, Garviel picked up Adam's dropped saber and ran towards a door, bequin followed him with a determined look on her face, force lightening the control panel on the way out to prevent anyone pursuing.
