Morning guys! I’m gonna point out something that’s not being talked about related to that 5 minutes preview, not related to Lego. Everybody is talking about the species shown and I noticed one brand new species after the iguanodon runs and right before the fight, you can spot some type of feathered ornithischian flying around (à la Archeopteryx) I’m not a paleontologist, but I’m pretty sure Archeopteryx belonged to the Jurassic period (correct me if I’m wrong) Does anybody have any idea what species that could be? My thoughts after Lego con… and Lego seems to keep ignoring who buys their products…

That right there is where our differences stand. I buy Lego jurassic for the dinosaurs exclusively, minifigures are an extra for me in this line. If we talk other lines like Star Wars the whole thing changes and it’s because of the minifigs. Just my opinion, I respect and understand your own reasons, more power to you man! If this is true, I hope we get more sets for 2022 than those already planned

That’s a logical conclusion that was told in here and what you have chosen to believe, not the actual reason as to why Lego produced such a poor wave this year. I don’t think universal thought over night to delay production for JWD one whole year, it was probably brought up to table when the pandemic came around for sure, and Lego knew about its delay with much anticipation than fans knew, that’s for sure. So if you think we are lucky to get part of the sets that were planned for JWD’s wave with characters (and dinosaurs) from a tv show that although connected to the movie has nothing to do with Dominions plot (as far as we know) it’s your problem. I don’t believe for one second 2021s wave was planned to be released with dominion, due to its minifigures mainly. I’m not saying you have to dislike this wave, I’m just exposing the reasons I hate it, you can agree or not. But don’t sell me this years wave as if we had to be thankful for it, they can do better, in their own words “only the best is good enough”, how does that apply to this wave? Look at other companies creating varios non-canon species and Lego redoes the same species? Come on!

Not mine man. 2020s wave was for me 10/10, we got 2 dinosaurs per ser, 4 new dinosaurs, all of them new being herbivores and a more accurate recolor for the I.Rex, pteranodon, and veloci. and for once the builds were usable based on the actual scenes from the movie (except the one with galli and ptera). 2021s wave is certainly going to help me save some money, too bad for Lego. I usually buy multiple times the sets with herbivores, and I already own 5 stygis, don’t care if the new one is red, I hate the way Lego changed its eyes, makes it look more cartoonish, less realistic… I could go on and on… 🤪

I can imagine it, but being realistic I think we’ll be lucky if we get more than one new dinosaur for JWD’s wave in 2022 @jurassicbrotherz on Instagram. Awful quality but better than nothing

Yea, that too… I thought he meant exclusively IMAX release the 25th in the US. In my country the movie releases July 2nd, and nobody at Universal nor IMAX said anything about a JWD clip in here.. Jurassic or not, expensive or not I wouldn’t go watch that movie anyways… not even if I got paid for it

I think so. He also said it had to do with getting people back at the theaters. It was confirmed short after that that F9 would show a five minutes long clip on imax on its release date, and a leak description of the footage was leaked shortly after, matching what we have seen in those two low quality videos and also the previously leaked pictures. Anyways, I don’t think the clip will be exclusive to the F9 release, it will probably show up on YouTube later or leak somehow…

If you look closely between .20 and .22 the camera starts short-circuiting and the technicians are trying to fix it. If you look online, there are thousands of videos of film reel burning which creates that kind of blood-bubbling effect when projected on a screen. Super related to JW, sorry for that folks 🦖🦕

I don’t think that’s blood, I figured it’s the film reel burning because of camera malfunction or heat overexposure. I could be wrong. Anyways very promising footage. There’s another clip circulating with Dreadnoughtus and Quetzalcoatltus

Go on YouTube and type “Jurassic World Dominion” the images are pretty much everywhere. It’s just a couple of blurry images but they look promising IMO. Yes please! Where do I sign?

Lol indeed they do! I like the concept of then scavenging food out of grocery stores, kind of the way they were presented in the novels when they were supposed to roam free “cleaning” the islands out of garbage or food waste people left behind. I hope we see that kind of stuff in JWD

The captured T-Rex images come from a documentary that was published a while ago, I think it was called Autopsy of a Trex. I can’t recall exactly where those images of the compys come from but I think I have seen them before. Maybe a promo for FK? The edit is so good that it is quite hard to dislike IMO this is an extract of that documentary, not sure if you can watch it full on YouTube...

I think realistically we can get Giganotosaurus, 2 or 3 Trex, blue, random raptor, pyroraptor, a couple random pterosaurs and 11 baby raptors. I am so ready to hate that wave as well and we are less than one year apart if I recall correctly 😅 Same here, in between 10-20 Owens

I just don’t get how other companies make tons of new models and can profit much better on a theme such as jurassic, while Lego sticks to producing the same species over and over not even making improvements. How hard really is it to make compys instead of making the same baby velociraptor. Wouldn’t people prefer to have 1000000 compys which is multi-movie accurate instead of 20 trillions of repeats of 4 baby raptors that only appeared in one movie (not counting the ONE baby raptor in JP) just to give an example...

I couldn’t disagree more on that. 2020s wave came with 2 dinosaurs each set (I’m not counting the 4+) and it gave us two new never seen baby dinosaurs and two new adult dinos and they were herbivores! I like the way they introduced the kids from CC in Lego form, but dinosaurs are same old with different coloration, no new dinosaurs. And they really should cut it out with the Owens, I like the character and the actor but having 1 per wave this year is more than enough
