  1. Dream wave? Normal sets Anything with the justice league dark- small build of house of mystery or something Comic based green lantern sets with any corps besides yellow- could be based on blackest night or be a build of oa. Or just give me an updated jessica cruz in a justice league odyssey set Titans rebirth set- just for the figs, lego can put whatever titan bike or jet they want Battle packs with any group of superheroes- preferably in rebirth attire Fortress of solitude with black suit superman and any one of the many characters from superman's mythology-except lex Comic vignette sets like tdkr cover D2c Arkham city Justice league watchtower Flash museum (could be a set too)
  2. I think that suit would be one of the main reasons lego would even want to make another ffh set
  3. Mehhhh I'm still not that interested, maybe I"ll get the final battle depending on the figs included. Besides that I think I might only get the marvel cmf and the accessory pack I'm not desperate for more of lego's generic bat vehicles. As a dc fan, I"ll have gotham knights to soothe me over On an unrelated note, lego really messed up by not using batgirl's burnside appearance. If they had done so, I would have bought that bat-truck day one
  4. The idea that the cap set will be the elevator battle sounds too good to be true... but if it is- it's gonna be one of the first lego marvel sets I've bought in a long time Edit: its a 4+ set so its definitely first avenger I'm guessing
  5. Kinda weird that they are making a christmas sweater ironman instead of a christmas themed armour
  6. I'm hoping they redesign the lego black panther- no printing on the cowl or ear piece just looks weird to me
  7. Looking at previous $70 sets, I'm guessing 6 figures for the final battle Thanos Prof hulk Rocket/korg Dr strange (cos portal builds) 2 outriders/black order folks/chitauri or 1 outrider and 1 other hero, say starlord
  8. I wonder if the 4+ batman set is rushed out to "compensate" for the delay of the batman sets. Or was it meant to release regardless Because the 3 sets would constitute one wave already for lego dc
  9. You have to understand that nowadays, there are many clickbait and thus fake or alarmist headlines- and the only articles I've found are from smallscreen and we got this covered. As others have said, people like Ethan Van sciver also publish a lot of clickbait alarmist fake news to rile up their fanbase. Yes the comics industry is declining, but in the short term, dc is still here to stay. The comics serve to produce an endless amount of inspiration for the other industries. It's not a big secret that it isn't that profitable. So yeah, cross-referencing with credible sources is a must
  10. EDIT: WAIT A SEC Whos your source.... no one's reporting this except wgtc which is just bs. In fact, dc is publishing multiple new comics in june, with a new supergirl comic announced 4 days ago.... r/dccomics isn't in flames either Man you have to check your sources next time, I got really bummed out For the sake of dc's survival they better not mess up hbo max jessica cruz or jld... but they probably will
  11. I think thats really debatable. Iconic? Yes. Popular enough today to sell well?- we'll see At least in asia, Looney tunes isn't as iconic as disney. It's not even close
  12. This is referring to this year only right? Or are you also saying that you haven't heard anything about the theme besides the 3 sets for 2022
  13. Since wb is so bold as to make a cmf for looney tunes where demand would mostly be fueled by nostalgic fans (which I don't think there will be that many) and space jam 2 - I'm 90% sure they will be bold enough to make a dc cmf 2. The brand is probably at its lowest now, so it can't really get worse to discourage wb from making it
  14. 2022 is definitely gonna be better for this theme for me- at least we get the new batman suit. This year, none of the sets interest me. Also if we get a cmf next year, it will likely automatically be one of the best years for this theme for me. I'm not desperate to pay for sets with generic builds No its because the sets don't sell well and the batman movie sets were delayed
  15. I'm kinda in disbelief that wb wants to make a looney tunes cmf before a dc cmf 2- the only thing that I see driving demand besides nostalgia from older fans is space jam 2 Then again maybe they just didn't want to compete with the marvel cmf at the same time
  16. I feel like playsets other than avengers tower and compound are just wishful thinking. I don't think places like Sanctum sanctorum or oscorp are the most iconic aspects of marvel. Edit: ok the sanctum is slightly more realistic but oscorp and non-minature rubble-related sets are still wishful thinking For all we know it could be thor's hammer but still sticking to gauntlet
  17. Well I mean no offense to falconfan but I think he may have messed up one dc rumor recently so... Also I would argue that the infinity gauntlet is still iconic without the mcu context but thats just my opinion
  18. That seems very odd. If its not mcu I'd wager its the infinity gauntlet but I'm not convinced it won't be an mcu set
  19. I find it kinda weird that lego stopped producing dc superhero girls sets since that franchise seems to be doing ok and I just found out it has a new game. I would think lego would want to capitalise on its popularity with kids but... Not that I would buy the sets, unless they switched from minidolls to figures
  20. It feels like lego is focusing less on children with dc with less of these sets and more collectors sets. On a side note, since lego is so creatively bankrupt when it comes to making these comic based batman sets, I rather they just not make them in 2022 and instead make sets for gotham knights like how the sets for avengers and spiderman now are based on their games.
  21. I have trouble imagining the d2c will be avengers compound- the exterior is kinda bland and the building is not as iconic as avengers tower. Also, they are really gonna have to downscale it because it's just so massive with multiple sections. I'm afraid that it will just look too off in terms of proportions. I mean, just look at ucs playsets in the past like hoth, endor, the batcave and the deathstar- there's still not enough bricks in those massive sets to build a decently sized avengers compound I also don't think it will be too much of the rubble/battleground from the final battle, because... its just rubble. If the set is based of the final battle I'd wager it would just be a miniaturised version of avengers compound + the rubble and portals, like hogwarts and the helicarrier
  22. 200 pieces seems to be quite little, seems only enough for a vehicle or a really small playset
  23. Batman can be portrayed as dark and edgy, but in a tasteful manner (matt reeves batman). Snyder is unrestrained. So much so that he no longer stays true to the character The survival of this theme hinges on the sucess/failure of the movies so I think some discussion should be permitted
