LEGO Ninjago 2021

I think its good, it shows off 1 and 1/2 of the suits we haven't seen, Zane is definitely one of my favourites now, but I'm not sure what's going on with the helmets? They look considerably different to the sets counterparts, with no tubing on the shoulders and smaller, more ninja like masks. Kai and Cole arnt in their scuba suits for some-reason, and Ninjago City appears to be in the process of flooding. The villains look cool, I'm sure they will play off that the squid guy is the main baddie and then it will be revealed that it was Wohira all along. Not sure what's going on with the maaray guards either, they seem to be missing their legs? All in all, pretty good. -

Maybe like the space slugs from Star Wars? Smaller creatures, and it could provide backstory to where the snakes came from. (I'm still a fan of the idea the serpentine are an ancient tribe from chima.) Personally, I'm hoping for those bugs to return, but they would be a hive mind, a giant moving creature made up of smaller ones, but I'm not sure how they would do mini-figs of it? Maybe a bit like the vermillion? -

I remember Tommy stating once that season 4 was originally going to be set in space, with the alien bugs being the main antagonists and those episodes setting it all up. Maybe a hive mind? Thats why those episodes exist but the concept was shut down after it was decided that it would be too futuristic, especially coming off the coat tails of a future based season. So we got ToE instead. Unfortunately that makes the episodes feel completely out of place, but if I'm being honest, they're some of my favourites. Galaxy squad did also come out around that time as well, and its not hard to imagine the vehicles being repurposed into ninja vehicles. imagine Jays swarm interceptor, or lloyds vermin vaporiser..... -

I agree, he's not doing anything threatening or abusive, he's just being a bit annoying. I cant really say much myself, though I try to be a little more composed now. He just seems a bit over excited and needs to learn how the server works. mods can contact him and give him some advice, but I do agree that its probably best to ask another forum if your looking for info on a fig that has a skin colour that different from The ninjago norm. He should at least do a bit of research. I'm sure a mod will deal with it. Let's just hope he becomes a little less, what's the word, crazy? If you are a child, at least try to act like an adult. I would like to see a season 14 pack, but I feel like it would be a bit more suited for season 13 if I'm being honest, they could do the uply, with Adam the spider as a side build. Clutch has already been in a pack, Wu was in the land bounty, Misako (and Clutch) are in the gardens set but I would like another totem build. Unfortunetly I think its a bit too late for a fig pack now, with the English episodes on the horizon. -

Sorry to deviate from the currant 'topic'. Lego have posted the first clip of season 14, in English. Its nothing interesting, just the scene where the ninja meet twitchy Tim. Strange to see they are referring to it as season 3 still, but im happy that they are getting ready to air the English season. -

Maybe his caps lock button is stuck? Don't give him ideas though, we'll have him talking like a pirate now..... -
LEGO Monkie Kid 2021
a guy from somewhere replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'm gonna throw my hat into the ring and agree with this. I couldn't have put it any better to be honest. Monkie kid is expensive, but it was made to be sold to the Chinese market. Heck, if lego hadn't gone through the regional exclusives drama, I'm sure that monkie kid would ONLY be available to the Chinese market. We are lucky to even get these sets. The sets are pretty well priced, considering all the different colours, the detailed figs, the crazy builds, and all the art work. But as said, they were made to appeal to a Chinese audience. They are a lot better off over there money wise. Having gone to school with some people who are from Hong Kong and china, £160 is like pocket money to them. Large sets arn't a problem. So, as the Chinese market is a lot wealthier, lego will make larger sets to go with the larger amount of income. The Chinese market can afford to pay an extra couple of pounds or dollars, however over in the west its a different story. It seems like the sets are very expensive due to our income being lower. Lego is a company at the end of the day. The theme just seems overpriced due to the high quantity of sets that exceed £100/$100. Themes like ninjago don't usually get sets that are over £120. -

They already did underground with MOTM but that was more medieval style.... and I think if they just went with a rock raiders theme it would definitely be crossing the line. -

Well ive just finished watching the island in French, and im not going to say much, but..... damn. I feel like DOTD was better. It just felt really, and I mean really rushed. My opinion is probably gonna change when the English version comes out on the 4th of march, and the ending was..... unexpected. There was a "in memory of Kirby morrow' section at the end, which was great, even if its just words on the screen. Spoilers for the ending are below. So yeah, not sure where this one sits on my tier list but Im sure it will move when the English versions come out. -

Huh, never realised there wasn’t any spinners. The thought never crossed my mind. Strange. That means we arn’t getting any spinner sets this year, just the epic battle sets. Despite 3 waves. Also the season 15 name is apparently ’seabound’ , which I have to say, is sooooo much better than ‘the island’! It also contrasts with the jay season being sky bound, and the Nya season is now seabound! I hope this is true. -

The blade isn't new? I assume we're talking about the one that's used as claws on the hydro mech and as a large blade on the front of the hydro bounty. If so, where has it appeared? Ive never seen it before! -

Ok, looking at the box art for the sub speeder, interestingly the bridge has seaweed on it, meaning it has already been submerged, and the front wheels of the speeder move either up or down and the back wheels go from the side to the back, becoming back facing propellers. I honestly think this is my favourite set of the wave now, just the price, the figs and the build are amazing. yes, its a racer in an underwater theme, but its unique, and can still function as a submersible vehicle, and the design is something we haven't seen much of. Yes ninjago has tons of oversized single seater vehicles, but none that have a transformation feature as crazy as this. The only thing that could beat this is if the hydro bounty just blows me away. But so far, im liking the look of the wave. I completely agree with the helmets though, they are quite big and the tubes should be lower down. -

Speaking of rock raiders and power miners, can you imagine if ninjago went that route for a season? They'd all be decked out in heavy armour and drilling machines.... on one hand I love the idea of it, but on the other, I feel like this may be way over the line. I'd say lego is pushing it now with the underwater stuff. In a more laid-back part of the news, a clearer image of the sub speeder 'surfaced' and you can make out the ratchet joints often used on mechs that connect the wheels to the body of the car. -

I think its a new piece, the grey seems to wrap around. I'm excited to see the kai suit but we haven't had a set leak for a set He's in yet, so I doubt we will see it any time soon. -

one interesting thing that I noticed is in all the pics the ninja use their secondary face prints, not their main ones? im not sure why they would do this. -

Ok I’ve seen the pics, the figs look pretty good, as people have said they need some sort of shoulder armour, the helmet looks too big. The bad guy also appears to be called maaray guard, not buard. These look like they came of better pics of the boxes, so we just have to wait for those now! -

How did you find this out? Also that’s gonna be a pain to spell every time. I’m just gonna call it a hydro whipper. -

Great summary! I don’t think the mech has a transformation or 2 in 1 feature as though the piece is big and awkward, what could you feasibly use it for along with the rest of the pets in the set? It’s a great set either way, and the bounty is def my fav. -

I believe it releases 4th of march in Canada, and that's episodes 2 out of 4. It will be a 4 episode season and the first 2 episodes are called 'Uncharted' and 'The amulets' and then the last 2 episodes will be released on the 14th. -

Damn, just read the end line and the end line only, and it explains some of the things we’ve seen for season 15, mainly the sub speeder box art. Very interesting. As Said, spoilers are here so I’m trying not to go into it. But it appears season 15 will take place immediately after 14. -

I feel like we need to give some credit to @LOTR34, they posted the (banned) link to these sets, thanks dude! Currently building my own version of the hydro mech, gonna have to get creative with those parts though, almost all of the big ones are new or recoloured, and I don’t own the Boulder blaster so I don’t have that amazing cockpit....
