  1. Congratulations Scum, very well played and a deserved win. There's a lot of stuff I said in the game which wasn't actually true, and really considering I was playing a Neutral role that should be obvious, but it seems it bears reminding (no pun intended). So yes, despite having a ridiculous amount of scum to be able to confuse and misdirect discussion, and being able to use both your scum abilities and those I assigned you, I do think you deserved the win. I will say that some of you played better than others, but with so goddamn many of you that's pretty much a given. Some of you were better winners than others too. Anyway, I was never really into scum hunting as much as people think (and in retrospect I should have been), I wanted everyone dead after all, but I also know what my town game looks like, and considering I had a (justifiable) paranoia about being exposed as the Trickster I had to play up to that. That meant cosying up to people who seemed to everyone to be townie, not just who I thought was town. In my private messages I told people what I wanted them to know and kept my narrative simple and consistent. I fashioned what I thought was a reasonable spectrum of who I found townie and who I found scummy, which was indeed based on my views and observations, but to say I ever trusted anyone is quite wrong. I was a team of just one, after all. I chose my roles for plausible deniability for the role of Trickster, and I ignored any absorbed roles and eschewed the kill when it became available. I wanted to move seamlessly through the game as a townie, trying her best, which is why I had those conversations with my "trusted" friends, for instance to make sure they knew I was commuting (so you don't waste your action on me!) but more so nobody could say that it was a convenient claim the next day. Being accused of being the Trickster for posting that I had received the Baby Dwagon Lullaby action was frustrating. That, unfortunately, made me more defensive and had an impact on my later game. I had a conversation with Hinckley much later where I said I'd been talking to Corrina who (in a particular sequence of messages) came off quite scummy and that as a result everything I thought was probably wrong. Honestly if I had really considered there'd be that many scum (so many scum! ) then I would have taken the true scum hunting much more seriously, or at least tried to do so within the confines of trying to protect myself from random accusations of being the Trickster. Oh well. I would like to say that the conversations with @Corrina Cow were really nice (I know that's an odd thing to say, but it's true), and I truly loved how you played her character, even in PMs. I think you played the best in your team, so congratulations on a game well played. That is a very kind thing to say, thank you. Congratulations on your win. You ended up with a PGO at the end because of Corrina's message to me about keeping on giving you the benefit of the doubt. It was one of those situations where someone I had just realised was scummy was saying scummy things about you and my view turned upside down and considering there couldn't possibly be more than three remaining scum (hahahaha! ) that put you weirdly into the town box with @Gilford Goat (who I thought would enjoy being a bomb) so you got the PGO. At least after giving you all those roles you didn't like (I thought they were ok, actually) I didn't give you the shit-shoveller or sleepwalker role! No, I knew. I had to spend a long time looking things up on MafiaScum or asking Hinck about the myriad of different roles that kept appearing on the three lists every game day. I think it was only the Vengeful that I didn't bloody ask about, and that turned out to be a pointless role to give to myself and a wasted night. Anyway, confusion is helpful. I chipped stuff in where I thought I needed to look town, but really I just wanted to thin the numbers. Scum were very helpful with that until ultimately they were too helpful and it went a little skew-whiff. Again, this is very kind, thank you. Congratulations on your win. Night two I was going to track your Fruit Vending, wanting to see what you did, but decided instead to send in the action to track Rutherford as he was the nearly-lynched and I knew he had the Vig, not expecting he would hit a scum (mind you... with so many to choose from it would have been hard not to ). You gave your Fruit anyway, and in retrospect it didn't actually change my opinion of you. I may have missed something, but I don't get this. Oh Hinckle-Stinckle I do love you and your beautiful, crazy games. All the discussions, all the planning, me asking endless questions about what would happen with roles a and b in the context of absorbing x and using y and all that guff - it was exhaustingly wonderful, thank you. Your hosting is, in my opinon, the best mafia game hosting we have, and continues to improve each time. I would like to point out, in reference to the highlighted segments, all the options you dropped for each day were crazy, and night five's actions were really not all that crazy by comparison! So yes, it was ridiculous to think I'd pick up on it, especially when you'd been telling me about how much better you were at not messing with things! Day Five really... yeah it was quite an unpleasant sensation really, going from thinking I might have a chance with two townies (who I thought were Gilford and probably Parvani), to quite quickly the penny dropping and basically feeling a bit like a punching bag, so it was a really crap way to end the game. I am grateful to have had this role and to be so weirdly involved in the game mechanics and I love your MOCs, photography, comics, sense of humour and the time you give to produce all this, so thank you Hinckley, for being a wonderful host of a wonderful game.
  2. WELL, I THINK THAT WOULD DEPEND ON A NUMBER OF FACTORS, BUT LET’S WORK ON THE BASIS THAT YOU COMPLETELY WOULD UNVOTE ME NOW PLS
  3. NOT LYNCHING ME WOULD BE A START....
  4. DO YOU REALISE, ASSUMING THAT ANYBODY HERE IS ACTUALLY TOWN, YOU HAVE ALREADY LOST? WITH ME COMES THE END; THERE WILL NOT BE A TOMORROW, NOR EVEN A TONIGHT IT MIGHT BE A BIT OF A SLOW DAY, THOUGH
  5. NOW YOU'RE JUST BEING UNPLEASANT. YOU KNOW, YOU DON'T HAVE TO IF YOU DON'T WANT TO.
  6. APOLOGIES DEAR LAMB PANDA? SUBTLETY IS SUBTLE. WELL.... YOU COULD JUST NOT LYNCH ME? I'LL TAKE CARE OF YOU. IT'S THE BABY DWAGONS I FEEL SORRY FOR. I LOVE THOSE DWAGONS AS IF THEY WERE MY OWN CHILDREN. I DON'T WANT THE BABY DWAGONS TO BE SHOVELLED OFF THE SHIP!!
  7. HELLO EVERYBODY! ARE WE HAVING FUN YET? YES YOU'RE NOT? YOU ARE THE DEVIL YOU KNOW I'M NOT OK WITH IT I NEVER EVEN TOUCHED YOU! HOW DARE YOU! MARVELLOUS! LET'S VOTE FOR SCUM! YOU THINK THE BUS DRIVER IS A STUPID ROLE? MAYBE YOU GAVE IT TO YOURSELF? WELL, WHEN THE INVESTIGATOR IS SCUM TOO.... I DON'T WELL, YOU COULD LOOK AT THE PEOPLE WHO'VE TOLD YOU THEY'RE SCUM, IF YOU WANT TO.... I'M RIGHT HERE AND I DON'T LOOK A BIT LIKE SPIDERMAN I AM AN APEX PREDATOR, PLUS I DON'T SEE ANY WOODS AROUND HERE VOTE: CORRINA COW
  8. THAT WAS .... THE JOKE I WAS... oh never mind ARE YOU TRYING to say there was only one scum and now what, we're all town with a Trickster somewhere? I COULD GO FOR LAMB.... ....LAMB SANDWICH!! WELL, YEAH in amongst the other million things that might have happened last night, that's one of them I suppose. I commuted; what Parvani did is between her and the Walrus. SHE WOULDN'T, I was talking to Holbrook. If you stopped lying low a bit earlier you'd be able to remember who everyone is and keep up. IT'S CALLED COORDINATING night actions with people you believe to be town. They claimed their roles to me, I claimed mine to them because we believe each other to be town after observation in the thread and discussion in private. Corrina didn't directly claim, but still indicated she wanted to coordinate. If you want to shout at me, then go and shout at all of them too. How have you been trying to help sheepy?
  9. OH YEAH OH YEAH OH YEAH WE'RE ALL HERE NOW, CAN WE HAVE BREAKFAST? OR YOU were blocked anyway, or you were busy doing something else... ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT YOU DON'T need to shout! I was offered protection by Gilford, and I declined because it would have been wasted on me because I was commuting, and I was involved in a discussion about investigations with Holbrook and the consideration of confirming town came up, so thought it fair to let him know as part of that to not waste his valuable action on me, as I'd be commuting. I wasn't expecting that. NO, I ASKED you to consider whether or not you would trust a "not scum" investigation result on Leatrix, and who you might consider to give a reliable result. We talked about a variety of possibilities. THIS IS uncomfortably true, but I agree with Giford that scum pose a more imminent threat. THANK YOU GENTLEMEN.
  10. YOU DO ME too much credit, I merely said that it appeared to me that I thought Parvani was scummier than you did.
  11. HOW DID ME WONDERING about the framer/tailor make you decide to investigate Corrina? THEY UNEXPECTEDLY end up in a lot of sausages?
  12. YES, BUT IS it, though? Who did you think would have been a better choice? Answering that question may be helpful. I like your umbrella by the way, umbrellas are very cool. NICE. You asked me and I gave you a range of options. I did not advise one single action. SO DEFENSIVE so early in the day. I've not even had my sausages.
  13. WHAT THE SHIT? WHAT THE SHIT? WHAT THE SHIT? Everyone else is saying it, and it's appropriate in many ways. NOT ALL of that is blood. PLEASE DON'T eat any. HMMM. I'M INTERESTED. I commuted my ass out of here last night, as a couple of people know I did, so that'll be why you were unsuccessful. HMMM. BUT IT COULD also be because I commuted my ass out of here, like you knew I was going to. It's out of character for you to jump to conclusions.
  14. SHOUTY SHOUTY *GENERAL BEAR NOISES* VERY NICE BUT, A lot of roles didn't really do anything, conveniently or otherwise Rutherford was not the only player I claimed to in the night Nobody else has claimed my role, so I either had that one or another not very interesting role, and I would have had to have made a good guess on the whole "vengeful" plot twist that has been confirmed by Shainen The fact you have nothing to say AT ALL about PARVANI speaks volumes. Sorry, I meant VOLUMES! SO YOU'RE WANTING TO implicate either Emeric or Gilford. Emeric's investigation result means little right now, as I've already said, especially in the light of possible manipulation from whatever the scum's mystery role was. I don't think this implicates Gilford necessarily, but if Emeric is the trickster then current evidence suggests he doesn't have a killing role. Scum do have a killing role, and I think you're one of them. VOTE STANDS.
  15. I HATE THE EDITOR AND IT SEEMS TO HATE ME WHERE WAS I? AH YES: I SPOKE TO Rutherford overnight and he disclosed to me that a number of (other) investigative actions had claimed to him, and that he had urged them to confirm/trap each other. He then said that it involved the goat the horse and the elephant should I wish to join in with that... whatever it was. He knew my action was vengeful and when I said how it worked he said he understood because of his own action, implying he also had a vengeful role, as has been borne out. I was seeking a target for my posthumous action, and a suggestion I'd already been given (Emeric) was on his list too, so I didn't ask anything further. If you want more information it might be better to ask Gilford, Holbrook and Emeric. I'M NOT SURE there is, apart from the fact they all reported roles Ruherford said they'd claimed to have. Doesn't mean they actually used them as reported. What do you think? IT IS ENTIRELY possible you were actually assigned the bomb defusor role, but ditched it in favour of killing or blocking or something. When you claimed to defuse Hyacinth, as has already been mentioned, you already knew you hadn't been tracked/beholdered and that she hadn't been watched so you could claim to have tried valiently to protect the number two scum suspect without anyone being able to disprove it with a night action result. It's a bit like Parvani claiming bus driver; safer to maybe claim you the role were actually given, for consistency's sake, but do something completely different at night. MY OVERALL opinion is that both Marlowe and Parvani are suspicious. I think they both demonstrate scum-prespective in their thought processes, or at least anti-town thought processes. I will: VOTE: MARLOWE MONKEY WE NEED MORE SHROOMS! At least the stupid editor got this bit right. Maybe it's too many shrooms?
  16. SHOUTY SHOUTY CAN I HAVE A BELL TO RING PLEASE? EDITOR IS CRAP AND I HAVE HAD TO TYPE ALL THIS OUT AGAIN WITH the Framer and Tailor roles knocking about, and night 2 when the scum had a Godfather, an investigation result isn't worth all that much really (sorry Emeric). Somebody being blocked by the scum? Well, they couldn't possibly be scum themself could they? That might well have been what the scum were trying to achieve. That doesn't mean I think Gilford is scum necessarily, it just doesn't prove him to be town, and it sounds like you want him to look very town, so that you look town. ACTUALLY MOST people thought the vengeful roles worked just like you did, but that isn't the point. You claim you were being "thorough", I think you were deliberately trying to confuse people. Neither one of us can prove anything either way I guess, but I felt the need to point it out. THIS IS THE THING, THOUGH, you were being so "thorough" with considering all possibilities around the deaths and wanting to think about them OUT LOUD, but you skipped straight to saying it was Bartosz who had died by bomb apparently because of a cryptic clue in the pictures, and I don't remember there being any prior consensus about that. It doesn't matter about the time in between, it's the jarring difference in your approach. YOU VOTED FOR GILFORD because of his "hey, let's all claim!" caper, but that was it. You didn't exactly say much more about it, or make a great big case against him, so how are we to know how suspicious or not you were of him? Whether you claim to have been suspicious of him or not matters little in the scenario that you're scum anyway. And if you are town and you can imagine a few reasons why scum would want Gilford dead, then why divert to Caladon who you apparently thought was town? THAT LOGIC IS NOT logical. I don't think there is an "if a is x then b is y" scenario here. At the moment I'm feeling more that you're scum and Gilford is.. not scum, and you didn't drive anything. The scum would know exactly who would be drivng whom in the scenario you're scum. WE NEED MORE SHROOMS!
  17. HELLO HELLO HELLO! RUTHERFORD! LOOKING VERY PROG ROCK! And a bit see-through and dead. THANK YOU RUTHERFORD, good to know nobody wanted to interrupt my honey time. I need more exotic mushrooms, where are those dwagons? IT'S BEEN MENTIONED a few times already (at least once by me and by Leatrix) that Rutherford was probably your best bet, seeing he was the closest thing we had to confirmed not-scum. And that's going on the very little we all have to work with. YES, YOU KEEP SAYING THAT, but the point is to protect the player most likely to be targeted by scum, not town. You are not talking like someone who intended to protect.
  18. SHOUTY SHOUTY SHOUT SHOUT I'M NOT banking on anything about the Trickster making sense. I AGREE about the unaccounted for block, but as I've pointed out before, quite a lot of the actions given out yesterday don't require people to be out and about, so a lot of people might have been the block target without any effect. The vengeful actions, and I'm sure you had this clarified for youself too, occur in Twilight - a period ofter we would have died, so not blockable as it's a time after all the other actions have happened (kills are resolved last). Rutherford could have spoken to anybody, and indeed seemed to speaking to a number of people, but I don't think that had anything to do with him being killed or blocked if he was blocked. WHAT ARE YOU thinking might have happened with his conversations overnight? Why would it matter who he spoke to about being vengeful? HMMMM. NOBODY is calling you stupid. I have a hard time believing your thought processes, as presented, are actually genuine, however. THE DIFFICULTY I have is that you suddenly believed Hyacinth to be town so strongly as to set you off along those thought processes. It looks very much like, when you came up with this "target" for your given role, you needed to choose someone who was town and dead, but not a death that might have been caused by a bomb. It is entirely possible that you ditched your bomb defusing role for something more nefarious, like bomber or blocker or the mysterious third role.
  19. WHATEVER WHATEVER WHATEVER CORRINA HAS A NICE NEW CAPE, ONLY GOOD THING TO HAPPEN I HAD FORGOTTEN about that. Maybe it wasn't so close to the forefront of my mind as it was to yours. Any ideas on what the unknown role might have been? My money would be on some kind of manipulative role or a strongarm maybe. I think anything life and death would have been OP, especially in view of today's catastrophe. YOU'RE BASING that on Gilford's claim that he was blocked by the scum on night 2? A completely unverified claim. I DON'T THINK it's hard to work out that one was the Flying Pumpkin (Corrina killing Hyacinth), one was the bomb from night two and one was last night's scum kill. Seems like you'd like to throw around a bit of confusion here. I THINK A lot of people were. I certainly was until I received my role PM. INTERESTING THAT, having wondered about the many and various ways we could have had three deaths last night, you jump straight into thinking that Bartosz was the bomb target on night two. Thinking about it, it's reasonable that Rutherford might be killed after essentially being confirmed town yesterday, but he could just have easily been targeted by the scum on night two. Either way, it's a surprising assumtion and quite a jump in thinking, unless you already know exactly who the bomb target on night two was. You also seem mighty keen here to keep Gilford painted as an innocent victim of the scum, having survived an attempt on his life thanks to your brave intervention, and having been reportedly blocked by the evil scum on night two. YOU HAVE EXPLAINED why you changed your vote, but that wasn't what was asked of you. You thought the scum would target Hyacinth because you thought all the town would target Hyacinth and the scum would want to kill all of those townies, and this thought was as a result of you having a last moment epiphany yesterday to realise you didn't think Hyacinth was scum and was actually town to enable her to logiacally be a scum target in the first place. And you ignored the closest we had to confirmed town with Rutherford, who was presumably (certainly in Parvani's mind) left to die last night? YES, THAT WAS HOW IT worked, but why do you assume Rutherford was a watcher when there's a vengeful vote thief on the list too? I'M NOTING the actions as reported, and pulling at the loose threads afterwards. He could have been doing something else, but really so could almost anyone. So there are three roles unaccounted for and one player (Rutherford) unaccounted for. We didn't see a vote thief yesterday (I don't think?) so that leaves Vengeful Watcher and Vengeful Vote Thief, which fits with what he told me last night. The mess surrounding the Watcher/Tracker/Investiagor/Beholder also fits with what Rutherford said last night, but that's not the same as being verified.
  20. Another thing along with what else? There is nothing else. If you look at the list, nearly half of them have no night action component. Go and bleat at Shainen, or Marlowe, or Leatrix or Parvani, I’ve had enough of this crap.
  21. Convenient how? If Shainen was indeed the Vengeful Investigator then he can confirm this, and like I said Rutherford heavily implied he had a Vengeful role with similar stipulations.
  22. Could you explain your reasoning? Did you really think the scum would want to kill the person who so very nearly got lynched?
  23. HOLY MOTHER OF FUCK I'm not sure if this could have gone much worse. I learnt some things in the night. First off, my role was Vengeful Tracker, and the cute thing about that role was that the Vengeful part meant I could only use it if I died. I claimed to Rutherford (the closest we had to a confirmed townie), who said he understood perfectly well what I meant and that that gave my claim credence to him, heavily indicating to me that he also had a vengeful role, so with the host talking about "Twilight business" hopefully we'll have some information from Rutherford's ghost to work with. He also said that a few investigative roles had claimed to him and he was trying to get everyone to either trap or support each other (he said both) and that if I wanted to join in then it involved the horse, the goat, and the elephant. That much seems to have been borne out. In memory of Bartosz, an updated role list for last night: Bomb-pwoof Bomb Defuser * - Marlowe Watcher - Holbrook watched Gilford targeting Emeric Twackew - Hyacinth tracked Holbrook targeting Emeric Investigatow - Beholdew - Emeric saw Hyacinths track (Holbrook targeting Emeric) Pwince - Parvani Fwying Pumpkin Dat Shoots Wasew Beams Out Of Its Ass - Corrina killed Hyacinth Vengefuw Investigatow - Vengefuw Watchew - Vengefuw Twacker - Benicia Westwess Spiwit - Leatrix Vote Thief - Vengefuw Vote Thief - Baby Dwagon Wuwwaby - Baby Dwagon Swumbew Pawty - Bartosz I started trying to de-dwagonspeak it, but really that feels a little pointless rn. @Marlowe Monkey who did you target please?
