  1. I liked your reflection. The real dilemma is us wanting to teach something basic to our students in the face of today's society, and the dual educational/commercial nature of LEGO. About LEGO's archives... I have the same opinion, either they're not good, or they don't want to help us... although they know that we "help" them when we talk and post about their products. Let's continue on our paths... it's no coincidence that we still use Control Lab and Robolab... new isn't always better. It's different, but not inherently better.
  2. Okay... my blog is a repository of books and software (not currently used or commercialized) from LEGO Education. This way, everything is in one place. Similarly, I'm a teacher registered in the LEGO Education forum and I announced there the existence of the online Control Lab. I think that if the old software can run online, like the interface A, TC Logo, lego lines or dacta ( for sensors) and the 1997 code pilot... it's always a added value for the history of these products and for LEGO itself. Leonardo
  3. Done... it is embed... https://legoeducacional-umcontributo.blogspot.com/2021/05/control-lab-programacao-lego-5-anos.html by now, at the end of the post... in english.
  4. The program works well online. Obviously, I haven't tested the COM ports yet. As for projects, I only have those for the intelligent house. Thank you for your work and for sharing.
  5. It seems incomplete... Robolab 1.5 is much more extensive. Am I doing something wrong?
  6. Good morning. It's sad news that we can't identify COM1 or COM2. However, DOSBox on the PC has several menus, including the configuration menu. Personally, I don't have the technical knowledge to solve the problem, but I ask: "Couldn't a version of DOSBox already configured for COM1 be uploaded to archive.org?" I appreciate all your efforts; we all know that if we ever manage to get the B interface working online, it will be the first step towards uploading other old LEGO devices... thank you very much. (I'm attaching two images, one with all apps connected to DOSBox and the configuration menu.) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lxvii5yXG1sWP1z1_OVM0nBMpOWFluyh/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/1l0JupcIA-WY9yeVhPYVC5ITv27FYNk4A/view?usp=sharing
  7. That's awesome!!!!!! I'm going to test it with my interface B.... Congratulations, the idea is very original.... and it comes at a good time, since LEGO is discontinuing Spike this year and for now only the LEGO Science kits remain.... This way we continue to have at our fingertips all the good things that LEGO Education has done over the years. Congratulations again!!!! P.S: I'll be sharing this achievement on my blog... even those without an interface will be able to see the program.
  8. LEGOeducational-umcontributo it´s my blog. I have the help from a friend from Sweden that give to me what I put there. If I can help someone. tell me. Leonardo
  9. Good morning friends Sorry to "change" the topic of this forum's conversation, but I was asking for your help. Interface B was launched by LEGO with software produced by LCSI - ControlLab. But in Europe it was also marketed by LEGO with TechnoLogica software and with Coach Junior - the first launched by Phantom II from Israel and the second by CMA from the Netherlands. In the USA, LEGO Engineer was created by Tufts, but without LEGO sponsorship (yet). I wonder if they know of any other software released at the time (1993 and beyond until 2000 +-) that had LEGO's declared support? I'm placing here two images of the LEGO manuals for Interface B. TechnoLogica and Junior Coach. Thank you very much for your attention and support. Leonardo
  10. good morning friends Do any of you have the original software that was sold with this book? Does it matter if it's for Mac, Acorn or Windows?
  11. Lars... you can use the sensor adapter with only LogIt sensors... Vernier sensors i think you can't... but I will see later. In this version you have the INVESTIGATOR , that wasn't i earlier versions... Make use of 2.5.4 mixing RCX with interface B.... I will go to do the same... and then will see if 2.5.4 is the answer for your problem.
  12. Hello Lars Using robolab 2.5.4. It seems to me that it works well... watch the short video... the engine is running very slowly. I pressed the STOP key on interface B and the movement was suspended. I charged it again, and the engine continued to run slowly, as programmed... and it has never failed (so far). https://drive.google.com/file/d/1X6YJdkGoQf5T7zpQSAVJvuy_faQqEKPb/view?usp=sharing You can get RoboLab 2.5, here https://legoeducacional-umcontributo.blogspot.com/search?q=robolab+ This is my blog... make a click over the image of RoboLab 2.5 ... and the archiv.org will give you a version of it.
  13. Lars I have identical problems. I'll see if robolab 2.5 has the same problems... I used Windows XP SP3 and robolab version 2.9.4.c. (I have the impression that there was an upgrade to 2.9.4. due to the use of sensors... but I'll look for that information)
  14. Yes... sometimes there are mistakes... but I have to spend more time analyzing them. Because there are messages that say it doesn't work... and then it works... and then it doesn't work... in conclusion... I have to spend some time.
  15. Good morning I haven't had time to help with this debate... however I made a short video where robolab 2.9.4 controls the control lab with a motor on port B. I should have more time... but at the moment I can't... um hug to everyone. https://drive.google.com/file/d/13S33Ql7HHK8iMMosYiPe841Y80DnVG0A/view?usp=sharing windows XP - robolab 2.9.4 - pc with com1 port - Lego cable this is a answer to "Everyone I now also want to run interface B , rcx and nxt using robolob 2.9 on windows xp using natively serial port . Can anybody confirm that the interface B actually works well on this platform. Best Lars "
