  1. Chewbacca from Star Wars!
  2. First rate design and execution.
  3. Let them soak overnight in pinesol. It won't hurt the plastic, as I use it to strip paint from minis for wargaming all the time.
  4. Fantastic!
  5. I had to look up your earlier projects after your new Japanese ship, and am really impressed with the job you have done, really sharp!
  6. Hey. let's face facts. If we want an accurate rendition of a specific ship, we would grab a model at the store or scratch build it out of wood. We have to accept that these are caricatures at best, no matter who is making them. Some of the models in the forums are gorgeous, but let's get real here. We are playing with toys to relax and have fun. We are looking for different things from our hobby. Let's enjoy that and remember it is very hard to be dignified when you are truly having fun.
  7. A truly outstanding job! You captured the "flavor" very well.
  8. As a fan of Captain Nemo since I was a boy, I had to build a Nautilus for the Pirates game. He has the rest of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen with him and Ishamel at the helm. Also, in the link, you will find some rough mock ups of a Millenium Falcon I am working on for the game as well. Suggestions are welcome for the build. Thanks guys! http://i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc372/DeaconKC/legoboat001.jpg"]http://i1208.photobu...legoboat001.jpg http://s1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc372/DeaconKC/
  9. Okay, to add a little more confusion to this, have either of you worked with the 6x12 wedge plate that has one end 3 wide then tapers from there? There is a 3x3 section, then a 3x4 section, 3x5, then 3x6 on the studs showing. Would the 2x3 or 2x4 wedges match this beast?
  10. Very nicely done, thanks for sharing!
  11. That turned out really nice! That really makes them "pop" out!
  12. Call it the Nelson!
  13. Also, consider what colors will bring new Lego'ers into the world of ours. These new colors were probably chosen to attract more folks.
  14. That's what I figured, but before spending my cash, I wanted to make sure! Thanks guys!
  15. This will be an easy one fro some of you, But I am new to Legos again. I need to build a "sandwich" of plates with 2 bricks in between. So from the top down would be plate, brick, brick, plate. The wedge cut pieces such as the 12x6, 6x3 and then the bricks, which seem to run 3x2 etc. which ones are cut on the same angle to match up? Thanks in advance, Kevin
  16. Gotta go with the Wolfpack, sorry Mateys!
  17. Also, if it doesn't turn out right soak them overnight in Pine Sol and the paint will come right off without harming the plastic.
  18. Okay, an opinion needed here. As a player of Evil Steve's Pirate game, are these ships well enough made to pushing around on the floor, while yelling "ARRRR"?
  19. A very sharp job!
  20. The new one looks really good, but I have to admit I really liked your original! Can't wait to see what's next
  21. Why not? I just spray painted some pieces I got dirt cheap on ebay, because they were a weird color. I wipe them with rubbing alcohol first and then use a cheap enamel spray paint, acrylic has not worked well for me on Legos.
  22. I'm playing with stuff called Foam Sheet from Hobby Lobby, cheap easy to cut and comes in all sorts of colors.
  23. Looking at the head in the tank makes me think of "Abbie Normal" from Young Frankenstein. Thanks for a smile that I needed today.
  24. Quit teasing! More Pics!
  25. Very neat job on the mast/rigging.
