  1. The scum must be enjoying this so much. They know I'm town and they are happy that no other townies are joining the discussion. For everyone, but especially @Peter Lyon since you brought it up before. In addition to the reasons I've already given, the other reason I picked Vincent to claim to is as follows. No one reached out to me N3. I knew I was being suspected as scum by most players. I knew reaching out to Vincent was a risk. But, if by some crazy chance he turned out to be town then I hoped to convince him that we were on the same team and to get him to lay off the heat. I knew if I could convince just one player of my innocence, Vincent (because of how much he controls the narrative) would have the best chance of helping me get through today. Instead, he went right for my jugular. Honestly it was a hail-mary move to begin with. But what did I have to loose? You all thought I was scum before today started. I just hope Vincent has overplayed his hand enough for you all to see how scummy he's been this whole game.
  2. And before anyone twist what I meant, let me clarify. Vincent's argument about him being town if I flip town is clearly meant to lead to the conclusion that if I flip scum he should also be trusted as town. I was stating his argument plainly since he likes to hide it behind a lot of text.
  3. You said it first. Anyone care to take Vincent up on his own statement?
  4. If one of the blockers is scum they could just coordinate with Vincent to block him. And if he's not the killer that would make him look faultless in your eyes. Just watch out, because Vincent is very good and making other people look the other way from him. As a townie I wanted every piece of information available to my team possible. If anyone made claims about targeting Andrew, or Andrew made a claim about being targeted on N1 I wanted it out there for the town to know. Clearly no one needed to be told, again, that Jean was murdered. But that's who I tracked so I'm giving you the honest results. This is great scum logic. Bolded is the WIFOM tactic. This another play to make yourself look town no matter what happens. If you lynch me and I flip town, then you claim you must be town. Where the proof of that is you conveniently leave out. If you lynch me and I flip scum, then you must town since you've been calling for my lynch. Either way, you are trying to build a case that you are town no matter what happens. Ping! Scum tactic. My behavior has been suspicious. I've admitted it and I can understand why their is a case against me. But, my actions have been consistent with my claims. There are no loopholes in my story because I've been telling the truth. Whereas your actions have been suspicious. I hate to parrot Daniel, but not knowing your role or who you've targeted during the nights gives us nothing to go on but your word. As a townie I feel its my duty to help the rest of the town get closer to finding the scum. It seems certain that either Daniel or Vincent is scum. I'm throwing all my chips in on Vincent. After I flip town you can then lynch him. But even then, if by some miracle we are both town, you will know for certain that Daniel is scum. I just hope there enough townies left by that point to still win.
  5. Are there any other town members paying attention? Do you see how Vincent and Daniel continue to control the narrative? If no one else has their own opinions and is happy to just follow V or D into the sunset then just vote for the day to end early and get this over with. If I can't help you through my living, then let me help you by my lynching. I'm anxious for you to see that I flip town so you can go after the real scum.
  6. As much as a person can be at this point I am convinced that Vincent and/or Aiden are scum. Since I keep pointing out their scumminess it seemed a likely possibility that I would be targeted for murder last night. I didn't claim D3 since I wasn't going to be lynched. I was ready to if the heat had stayed on me. Here's some more thoughts on Vincent. He's posted long lists to try to get people to go after me twice now. Here's the first one: and here's the second: Notice how 5 of the items on the 2nd list are the same as the first list. Which I already answered. Why does he keep bringing up old arguments? Because he doesn't have enough new information to use to try to convince you all. He saw that the town wanted to lynch 1 of the 3 blocked players. So he's trying to turn the attention onto me to keep it off him. But he doesn't have enough reasons so he keeps rehashing the old ones. Add to that the fact that I've also answered #6 and #7 of his list and you can see that he is just desperate to try to lynch me.
  7. My fate seems pretty well sealed. But I'd like to point out that if I were scum, wouldn't I be putting up more of a fight? I know that in my lynching I can still help the town discover the true scum. I don't expect this argument to change any votes. But hopefully it will lend more credibility to my observations after I'm dead. I'm convinced that either Daniel or Vincent is scum. Vincent has pushed so hard for my lynch for days so he seems the most likely candidate to lynch next. I will be very disappointed if you don't lynch him tomorrow.
  8. For the record, I role claimed to him because I thought I had a good chance of getting murdered last night. I wanted my info to be available to the town if I died. I gave it to Daniel and Vincent since they have low odds of being on the same team. Could I have picked someone else? Sure, but I wanted to minimize how many people I shared my role with that night and Daniel and Vincent seemed like the best odds. Vincent and Aiden have been gunning for me since Day One. (Watch Vincent ask for an itemized list of examples ) If they are scum as I assume, then they knew if they kept the heat on me long enough that one of these days they could get the town to lynch me. It makes sense to lynch someone who was blocked, though of course I wish we were picking someone different. When I flip town, you all should lynch Vincent. If he turns up scum then you should immediately lynch Aiden. If there are scum left after that I would focus on Emmett or Robin since they have been caught possibly lying. If Vincent isn't scum, then you should immediately lynch Daniel. I've been in the wrong place at the wrong time. But everything I've claimed has been verified. And really if I were scum, would the actions I've taken or the claims I've made make sense? I hope the town sees that it would be a better effort to lynch one of those who has been less open or less honest.
  9. I read back through Day One and saw that my suspicions were not as clearly stated. But they were there. Let me refresh your memory: His explanations for why he is defending Vincent seem too simple for a townie looking to contribute. Granted, he may have just gotten caught up in the debate early on and is now looking to defend his choices. But it doesn't look that way to me. I bolded my words to help make it more obvious for you. And here's the response to Day One from early on in Day Two: Here is what you said at the end of day 1: My original and follow up reason for poke-voting was to get data, i.e. people talking so we could analyse what they said later. Here's the specific comment I made first: I don't understand what else you want. The point I made was talking is good. The point you are laying out is that I said getting people to talk is good. Where is the disagreement? All of this insistence on getting answers to questions I've already answered is a great scum play to make a townie look guilty. You, Vincent, ping very hard as scum to me. So yeah, from the beginning I've been suspicious of you. You have conveniently ignored your own advice many times and stated why people ping you without listing bullet points. But to humor you, I will list some. 1. You insist on getting answers from players even when they have already answered. Want proof? Go read this again. 2. You have been inconsistent and hide it behind text walls. Proof is here. 3. Every time someone hints you might be scum you get ultra-defensive. 4. You have worked to control the narrative from Day One. Anyone who questions you is wrong. Anyone who states an argument you find disagreeable is wrong. Then you insist that they defend themselves against you ad nauseam. Obviously we are all trying to weed out the scum, but the way you have powered through each day seeking to control everything being said pings so loud as scum.
  10. Here we go again. Taking the smallest things and trying to make them big. Really, can others not see through this? Wouldn't you like to know? Based on your behavior and all my interactions with you I have 0 reason to trust you and every reason to think you are scum. So you can just keep trying to guess the answer. You've made it clear what you think of me. Why don't you just place your vote and be down with it? Why are you playing this pretend game of wait-and-see? Maybe because you are scum. You're talking like you were part of the conversation when you weren't. Unless of course Vincent and you have been sharing all PMs from the beginning since you're scum buddies. I called it Day One, I'm calling it again now. Vincent and Aiden are scum.
  11. This is the 2nd time you've shrugged off the idea of focusing on the 3 of us who were blocked. Ping! Why? Because this entire game your play has been about mis-direction. I pointed out yesterday (D3) that you seem to nit-pick things that don't matter. Drawing huge attention to things that are either made-up or minor. You have attacked me every day, often over things I gave clear answers to. You and Daniel both did this D1 leading to the text wall war. You have worked really hard to control the narrative all game. This is helpful if you are town because it gives us townies some focus and direction. The dangers of it if you are scum are obvious. You even admit there is a lot of risk if I'm scum trying to make a false claim. If I was any kind of experienced scum player this would be a stupid move. I won't deny that I've been in the wrong place at the wrong time a lot this game. As others have pointed out, voting for Joshua D1 when it didn't matter then hammering him D2 has bad optics. Targeting Jean D2 as Voyeur has super bad optics. But if I was really scum, why would I keep trying to make myself look worse? See my answer above. I think it's wise to look at the 3 people blocked, and yes I know that includes me! But I also think we need to strongly consider the 3 blockers. So easy for one of them to be scum and trying to look like they are helping the town. This should come as no surprise as I've been calling out my suspicion of him from day one, but Vincent just keeps coming back with more pings! Vote: Vincent Denis
  12. Some random musings that don't have specific relevance to the questions going around right now, but ones that are relevant to the game as a whole. Especially for those who played Pirates II, we know that Hinckley enjoyed playing the noob and making everyone think he was brand new to the game. We also saw Robert Morgan claim to be more familiar with mafia.gg. When Day 1 turned into the nightmare that was Daniel/Vincent Text Walls my first instinct was that Vincent was Robert incarnate and Daniel was Hinckley. It wasn't until Daniel called Vincent "Hinckley" that I began to wonder if I had gotten them switched. But know I'm wondering if my first instincts were accurate. What if Daniel is Hinckley just pretending to be the Mafia.gg player that was Robert Morgan? If both Vincent and Daniel are scum, they could be playing an elaborate scum play by pretending to be each other to throw us off. I've said before that this is a possibility albeit an improbable one. I just wanted to see if anyone else shared my thoughts. No matter who you are, you've been playing this game too long If I was scum and were attempting to kill Daniel, why would I tell him that he was my intended target? Sure, it almost makes sense to tell it to you if I thought you were a watcher and I was trying to cover my tracks. Or I could have just kept silent and told you nothing if I was scum, leaving you to wonder if I were just town with a minor role. But instead I told you and Daniel, and now everyone else. Why would I do that if I were really scum? I did. A few posts before this. Role claims list (let me know if I missed anything): Fred Dumont - Town BlockerPeter Lyon - No claimDaniel Lucas - Town Jail-keeperTrenton Monette - No claimJustin Reynaud - Town VoyeurEmmett Ware - Minor RoleAndrew Laurent - Town VanillaizerAiden Leon - RoleFabien Bellamy - No claimVincent Denis - Power RoleRobin Tremblay - Knight/Protector
  13. Alright, I'm Joe. Sorry I didn't get here sooner. My magic wee-fee box stopped working unexpectedly this morning and I had to resolve it before I could join in the discussion. I PM'd both Daniel and Vincent with my role last night. I wanted to make sure at least one person had the data in case I was murdered. I don't trust either of them. But I figured the odds were astronomical that both of them were scum so that's why I chose them. I am the town Voyeur. I can see what action was done to a person, but not who did it. I targeted Andrew the first night and was told no one else had targeted him. I targeted Jean the second night and of course found out he had been murdered. No other action was taken against him. I targeted Daniel last night and was told I was unsuccessful so I assume I was the 3rd person blocked. That would mean that Fred blocked me if everyone is telling the truth. I'm sharing this knowing that the heat is on for everyone blocked last night. I hope me being open and honest about my role helps us townies to root out the scum. There's a lot to think about so I don't have any accusations yet. Let me analyze all the claims for a bit first.
  14. Deal me in! What are we playing?
  15. It gets so quiet during the night here in the fort. Is no one on watch duty? Or do we leave that to the NPCs?
  16. Yes, time to rest and regain our wits.
  17. Ninja'd by Andrew. I reached out to you to get a scum read. Obviously neither one of us wanted to give away too much since it was N1.
  18. I'll give it a go, though it's not going to be exhaustive by any means. First, Robin. His possible lies revolve around his Knight claim: He claims he took no action on N1. And here is where he claimed he "wanted" to protect you, Vincent. But as far as I could find, he never said it was unsuccessful. Daniel reminded me of his "soft detective claim" after N1. But he just admitted to taking no action on N1. Which was it? And for N2, he waited till after Daniel told us he blocked Robin on N2 to explain he wanted to protect you. If Daniel is telling the truth then it seems Robin must be lying. Second, Emmett. Daniel has been riding Emmetts case today, so I'm going to quote 2 of his attacks. Best would be to go back to the original quote to look at Emmett's words too. I didn't want to paste it all here since this is already a long post. But here are 2 time Daniel pointed out possible lies from Emmett: And then there is Emmett's comment: Like Robin, he also waited till after Daniel said he blocked Robin before revealing his "action." Easy enough to lie about, and if Daniel's points have any validity then it means Emmett is lying.
  19. I'm going to continue with the thought that Daniel, Vincent, Fabien, and Peter are town. I'm unsure of Trenton and Aiden. And of course I'm town. If that's true then 3 things seem possible, though not all 3 can be (unless we have an insane amount of Scum). I'm putting this here as much for my reference as for everyone else's as it's all been said already. 1. Emmett and Robin are scum based on their potential lies. 2. Fred and Andrew are scum based on them "blocking" each other to cover for their scum team. 3. Alex is scum based on his Vanilla claim. I think we need to lynch 1 of these 5 people to make headway towards finding all the scum. Alex has the most votes currently, but I think any of the others would be well worth our effort today.
  20. Based on everything said so far today, I find Robin and Emmett far more scummy than Alex. I think his Vanilla claim is extremely suspicious. And the idea that he could be Godfather seems like the most plausible explanation. However, I don't want to discount the possibility that there are a few who have claimed roles and lied about it. Even Vincent was saying we should be wary of assuming role-madness based off his supposed PM conversation with Bob. But, the overall evidence is certainly against him. By voting on Alex now I put the votes tied between him and myself. If Alex and Robin are scum, that puts Robin in a tough spot. Does he switch votes to avoid killing a fellow scum? Or does he ride it out? If Emmett is scum, does he switch later in the day to make him look more helpful as a townie? Of course this all gets flipped on its head if Alex is town. WIFOM, I know. But worth analyzing I think. Unvote: Robin Tremblay Vote: Alex Howe
  21. I'd be lying if I claimed anything but relief that there is some attention being drawn away from me. But I hope my jumping back into the fray helps convince some of you that I am indeed town. This is a very succinct summary. And I can totally see why you want to vote for me. I am a townie who happened to vote in an unfortunate pattern. But I get that that's not enough to convince anyone. If I were in your shoes I'd be voting for me too. Yes, and this pings me very hard that Peter is scummy. But, I went back and looked at his posting history this stood out to me: His was the 5th vote on Joshua and verbally stated he wanted to keep the lynch from stalling. If he was scum, this would be a very odd play indeed. Emmett has an interesting track record. He did not vote on Day1 and was the 7th (right before mine) vote on Day 2 for Joshua. If he is scum and is just trying to bandwagon me, his voting pattern could fit. But I don't know if it's enough to lynch him at this point. I think Robin is much scummier now and I think attention is better placed on him. Let me point out some things that ping me as scummy here. First, Robin has been one of the most quiet players. Then he comes out and claims a knight PR. Now he is jumping from wagon to wagon. I'll put my vote at the end, but this is very suspicious. This whole comment is why I find you scummy. First you claim I would know that inactive people are scum so I poked them. But you want to call me scum? Those two things don't mesh. Next you say I'm not super active. And it's true that I don't have the highest post count, but then you say I can text-wall right along with you guys. So which do you want, quality or quantity? And it's not that you suspect me that makes me find you scummy, just one more thing you seem to fabricate. It's that all your reasons for attacking people seem made up. I know we need to analyze the smallest detail in this game to find the scum. But you seem to be analyzing made up details. And why would you need to do that unless you were scum? That said, I'm ready to call a truce of sorts. It's well known that my gut says your scum. I'm also pinged very hard by Daniel. If we analyze voting patterns on him, he was the 2nd person to vote on Aiden at the end of Day 1 along with myself and Fred. If he's scum then this could have been a move to try to bandwagon someone. At the end of Day 2 he was the 6th person to vote on Joshua and he's already admitted to hesitating on voting for him. He claims it was Jean who convinced him but it could have been a scum move to make him look more trust worthy. Also, he didn't get murdered last night. But, if he is scum then his whole play is one of the weirdest ever seen. So, I'm ready to go the rest of the day assuming Vincent and Daniel are town. That leads to my vote: Vote: Robin Tremblay
  22. True, you and Robin have the same-ish number of posts. I guess I should add that I find you scummy because of how quiet you've been as well as your two attempts to get attention focused on Robin. He's certainly scummy too. But your small attempts look more like a scum trying to be helpful/not helpful. Not enough for me to vote on you yet, but those are my reasons. Day 2 had so much content, but I've gone back through and seen that yes, their votes came before your claim. Sorry for the mix up As much as Vincent is pinging me, I'm willing to unvote on him today. I agree that our efforts are better spent trying to root out one of the other scum. Wow, really? This pings me as a scum move to get a wagon formed. Easy for you to jump in at this point. Except your reasoning is flawed. I've given answers to everything Vincent laid out. If you're going to vote for me, can you at least give your own thoughts on the matter? I don't know who else to vote for at the moment, so many people look scummy. But in the interest of helping the town as a whole: Unvote: Vincent Denis
  23. I'm happy to keep dialoguing with you. It's not that I think there is nothing to discuss. I didn't continue the PM convo because it didn't seem like you were ready to share anything else. Specifically it was you saying "Anyway, if I end up dead, there are just enough documented posts from N1 and D2 observations to read if the question becomes current again." To me that came across like you were saying, "Everything I want to say to you on the matter has been said." I'm sorry I misunderstood your intentions. I didn't pursue any further talk with you because I didn't want to come across as an eager scum looking for a read. Did I want to get a read on you? Of course! But if you're town then you'll keep helping us so it didn't seem wise to push. You also seemed fine with dropping the conversation so I left it. As for the Robin, Fred, Trenton, and Emmett theory I do think there is something there. Those 4 and Joshua voted for you after your role claim. Robin is suspicious already for lurking a lot. If you can be trusted then presumably Fred can be trusted. Trenton has said very little and is certainly on my radar as a possible quiet scum. And Emmett, I'd have to go back and read Days 1 and 2 again but something about him seems inconsistent. I don't have actual proof to share though so I want to be careful with how I say that. Between the 3 remaining (Robin, Trenton, and Emmett) my vote would be on Trenton because of how quiet he's been. And in case anyone accuses me of not responding, let me add some more clarity to this: I don't know how to figure out if you and Fred are working together either! Obviously I'm suspicious of everyone at this point, as I expect everyone to be suspicious of me. Having you and Fred claim blocking roles could only be a successful scum play if you get the town to hesitate in lynching one or both of you because we don't want to lose a PR. It's a stretch and not likely as I stated when I first posted it. But this whole game is already nuts and I didn't want to completely discount the idea.
  24. Oh boy, that tune changed real fast. Out of necessity, this is going to be a wall of text. But please read it! Here's what you said at the beginning of today: But then you followed up with this: What is this? How have I been planting lynch seeds for you? You say I seem to be poking you. How? You say I have an ally in Daniel, yet the two of you seem to working together quite nicely right now. If I were scum, I wouldn't count on Daniel to help me get you lynched at this point. I also never said your text walls were worse than Daniels. And then you claim I'm hiding behind text walls. All of these things are weak reasons, unless you are scum and are worried about heat being turned on you. My vote stayed on you all day for Day 2 for reasons like this. You ping so loud as scum! But Jean's trust in you has me doubting my instincts. So I've been moving forward today with the hopes that he was right and you are town. If I get lynched and flip town, my prediction is that scum will start a bandwagon on you. Unless you are scum. In which case the town may start a lynch and you'd point to this fact in the hopes of stopping them. Either way, you have played yourself into a nice, safe zone. You didn't give me anything to respond to. For those interested here's what he said: My take away was that you didn't trust me enough to think I was town, and I didn't want to press the issue looking like an eager scum player. That's why I didn't respond. What have I done that is convenient to circumstances? I've voiced my suspicions of you, Aiden, Alex, and Daniel at various points through Days 1 and 2. Risking the wrath of your text wall attacks. I've voted on the people I find scummy, not on the convenient bandwagons. So tell me, why do I ping you harder than Emmett? Now, let me respond to your attacks: You claim I poke voted to "seem active." I've already laid out how I have been active, not just seeming to be so. Why are you twisting this? Here's what I said to you before: Here is what you said at the end of day 1: My original and follow up reason for poke-voting was to get data, i.e. people talking so we could analyse what they said later. I followed up with this: And I did answer you about poke votes helping: And I try to be so careful when proof reading my posts! My apologies for using incorrect grammer/spelling when using "killer". As for "intruder," that's just a fancy way to say "scum." I wasn't trying to be vague so much as roleplay a little at that point. We are in a Pirates Mafia game after all. As for poke votes, you only have to look as far back as Pirates II to see their helpfulness. Really, if you are an experienced player this seems like a very odd question. At the beginning of day 1 what other kinds of votes are there? What other players are you referring to that Daniel is harassing? Seems to be you and Aiden mostly. Your whole strategy has been to post text walls and Aiden has been super defensive. All 3 of you seem scummy as I posted before. To clarify the reason I think you are scummy, it's because you have been inconsistent and have been hiding behind text walls. Let me also address here why I haven't said more about Joshua since you keep calling me out on that. Should he have been more careful with details when he counted the number of those voting or not voting for a lynch? Yes. Have his actions been odd? Yes. Are they odd enough to ping me as scum, not yet. But that's in part because he, like so many others right now, are not posting much at all. Really this whole first point seems silly. I've answered all of these things before, yet you claim I haven't. Anyone who has read the threads can see my responses. This one is answered in my response to your first claim. My reason for voting in the first place was to get people talking. My reason for keeping the vote on Joshua for more of Day 1 was because his actions were scummy. And turns out that was an accurate read. Also answered above. Why does my concern about Joshua's scumminess have to match yours perfectly? And as you have stated before, hammering Joshua would be a lousy scum play. Not counting beforehand to realize my vote hammered him would be an even stupider scum play. But it makes sense as an innocent town play. Really? After I've already answered this? Why do you keep bringing it up? My statement makes it pretty clear: And here's my followup to your response: Mm Hm... I wanted to lynch him, but I didn't think it was the "right" course of action because my gut was telling me he was town. Pick that apart if you want, but it's pretty straight forward. You keep dragging old arguments up. This is why I've called you a foolish town at best, or scum at worst. Everything answered, everyone satisfied, but you bring them up like they are new. Whether I realized it or not, I voted for him. Sure, I could be scum trying to convince you all of my innocence. But then why would I be honest with you about not counting votes before hand to realize I was the hammer? So you are taking a PM that you were not part of and reacting to it based off a different PM. All before I've answered Daniel about why I didn't respond to him? Every reason for lynching me you've laid out has been a reach, but this really takes the cake. I hope everyone has stuck through this text wall and can seem how much you are over-extending for reasons to lynch me. I am town. I have a minor role but nothing that will make the town's job harder if I'm gone. If I can best serve the town by being lynched so you all can get a better read on the actual scum, then so be it. That's why I'm going to vote for Vincent despite it looking like a revenge vote. It's not a revenge vote. Despite Jean's read on you, the evidence is just too strong the other way. If you are scum, then you want my vote to look like a desperate act. Because I am trying to be a helpful town, I want to address this: Here are the current players and their claims: Fred Dumont - Town BlockerPeter Lyon - No claimDaniel Lucas - Town Jail-keeperTrenton Monette - No claimJustin Reynaud - Minor RoleEmmett Ware - Minor RoleAndrew Laurent - Town VanilaizerAiden Leon - RoleAlex Howe - VanillaFabien Bellamy - No claimVincent Denis - RoleRobin Tremblay - Minor Role So out of the 12 players we have left, 3 have made no claims either way to having a role. 1 has claimed Vanilla. Seems possible that it's not role madness, but not likely in my opinion. Putting this at the end so it doesn't get missed, but please follow my reasoning above! Vote: Vincent Denis
  25. Mm Hm... I wanted to lynch him, but I didn't think it was the "right" course of action because my gut was telling me he was town. Pick that apart if you want, but it's pretty straight forward. Yeah, I said that to him because I thought he was scum. I didn't want to give him reason to kill me in case he was scum so I insinuated he had earned my trust. Do you ping me as scum? Yeah, you still do. Was Jean right about Joshua? Yes. So is he right about you? Who knows, but it's enough to make me think twice. Daniel's wall texts are hard to read too. I've said before that I don't like either of you because of that tactic. You seem to be awfully defensive. I haven't been singling you out today yet you defend this hard? Yeah, still pinging me. If your role claim is true, then there is a chance you're going to get killed sooner rather than later. I PM'd you with the hope that you would feel like you had another person to share actions with. I know you have no reason to trust anyone, but in case I was coming across as trust worthy enough I wanted to give you an open door. And if you didn't want to share any info with me, my goal with the PM was to try to get any scum reads from you.
