First off, Louis says he has a result for Night One when Benjamin has publicly stated:

I find all these blocking actions intriguing. When my mentor and immediate superior, Lieutenant Paddy Triggs, subverted Redbeard aboard the Black Seas Barracuda, the Pirate faction was allotted two blocking roles and, as Arthur mentioned, they almost came to blows over this apparent discrepancy. We have a blocker and two jailkeepers? Seems to me to be a stretch, but as Benjamin mentioned, perhaps one of the blocking actions could instead be explained by a scum JOAT, which counterbalances Ethan's inventor. At present I find the two jailkeeper claims more puzzling than Benjamin's blocker claim. May I ask whether Benjamin is the blocker who claimed to Warren? Is it too forward to ask whether there may be a conflicting investigator claim among us? Indeed, @Louis Townsend, to whomst dost thou prithee claim? Got any better ideas for a lynch right now?

Sowwy... all I was doing was trying to get the lynch to happen. In terms of speed — a few people had agreed Paul's claim was fishy although he hadn't demonstrated much out-and-out scummy behavior. In terms of the votes' buildup, the real question was who was going to vote in the end. Admittedly it was a weak case, but the implications were that I didn't expect scum to push the wagon at the beginning, and I didn't expect scum to seal the deal at the end to bus one of their own. But they may have tagged along in the middle. Here's the final tally from yesterday: Zachary hammered and Kendall made sure the lynch went through. Arthur's given him grief over that today, but the rationale is clear: were there a scum on the lynch yesterday, it would have been possible for him to "get cold feet" and pull out, preventing us from sending Paul to the firing squad. So that's Mitchell and Morgan in my book for additional scrutiny. Where else could have scum hidden? They could have hidden by not voting at all yesterday. Those people are @Benjamin Samuels, @William Mitchell and @Louis Townsend, discounting Paul whose goose we cooked. Quite right. Anyway, enough with the speculation — on to hard facts. Shit, you did. Regardless, Paul hopped on the wagon at a point he could not be accused of leading it or hammering it.

He also laid into Reginald hard yesterday but let others get the wagon started before voted. Note that both Robert and Reginald had three votes until Paul turned the tide. There were a jailkeeper and a regular blocker (which is why I said "blocking actions" rather than "blockers") in the town until the jailkeeper was recruited by the scum. Note that the rules of this game explicitly rule out recruitment. The vengeful knew. How about we lynch Paul and see what happens lmao? Put your money where your mouth is — if you think this is role madness, vote for Paul. If you don't, then vote for someone else.

@Ethan Dunn all we have is what's stated and we should not treat Bob's posts like poems in high school English, wringing them out for every last hint of meaning. Bob himself said we shouldn't read into pictures or avatars — indeed should we trust that a killer visited Ansel in the night, or could we infer that Ansel dropped dead of his own volition? It's flavor text from Bob's post, duh. We shouldn't read anything into what Bob writes about night actions; the only valuable knowledge we have is this apparent Bus Driver. And I see Bob himself has made that point in thread. Seems like we're in role madness here, so do remember that the last time Bob ran a role madness Pirate game, there were two town blocking roles. Maybe I'm reading too much into things. We'll see.

Though Ethan was well on the way to drawing suspicion because of his vote for Arthur and his responses thereafter. Liam said "likely" — it's a numbers game on the first night and since there are always fewer scum than anyone else, I fail to see why this statement should offend you so. They may both be scum — this kind of double-teaming is not unprecedented behavior in the tales of war upon my cabin bookshelf — but I wouldn't be surprised if just one were sincere and the other an opportunist. Good question. I thought Paul was playing the mafia version of "I'm not touching you" — and so were you, putting him in a position where he could only be defensive or let accusations slide, and as we saw either way you both found something suspicious about him. As for timing — I thought I would leave work much earlier than I did, so I had a bit of an "oh shit" moment at the supermarket to get my vote in. I find it particularly interesting that Paul is still gunning for Liam after he dropped a softclaim...

But you're the one pressing Reginald on it - you can't repeat a question to someone and then wash your hands of having asked the question.
