  1. Okay so hear me out. Anakin's Lavaspeeder. As for the cantina rumor, I am going to temper my own expectations. While it is fun to talk about a brick built ronto, or the ubikkian coms tower, or every patron with a molded head, the only thing we have to go on now is a higher than expected piece count. Now there are some filler builds I could see, like a jawa junkyard stall, a cubby for 3PO and R2 to hide in, and plenty of landspeeders. Everyone has a right to speculate and it has been rather tame compared to other instances, but easing on the brakes never hurts.
  2. The AAT is serviceable. They did enough to improve over the last version, and Ahsoka is one of the few figures that makes the price tag easier to swallow. The Night Buzzard scaled better than expected. The figures look good and I may pick it up. The Death Star Final Duel is a iconic scene to portray, a good set design, and I fully endorse anyone who skipped on the 2015 one to get this new one. However, all this does is motivate me to mod the one I have. If this was released next year or two years from now I would be perfectly fine with it, I am just as perplexed as everyone. The Interceptor exists. $30 needs more than a figure and an astromech. The Soulless One honestly does not look that great. The proportions just look off and I feel it fails to capture the sleek look other versions managed to pull off. I can't pin down what it is, but something feels lacking. I was already going to pass given the mini-figures and the price. The resistance ship is a genuine surprise. Plus I actually like the design of the ship, it is like a more utilitarian and bulky Tantive. Simple but effective. I like the colors, I like the detail work on the figures, but most of all I like that we are getting something so out of left field. I actually really welcome this set. Overall I get where people are coming from with saying the wave is a pass, but for me there is enough I like to outweigh the underwhelming.
  3. Upon a second look I think the upper legs could be 1-2 studs shorter and the ankles could have been bulked at tad as well. It is not a deal breaker, but like you said it is the only thing I a tad lackluster.
  4. The AT-AT looks pretty good. I have always skipped out on them before so I may pick it up. I think Veers is using the Helmet with the goggles molded on that came from Solo, which is a nice variety and fits him well. And Luke looks to have the old pilot helmet, which just makes it more likely they abandoned the dual molded one asap.
  5. On the topic of Advent calendar figs, I am thinking the Poe will be his Star Wars Resistance version, since advent calendar figure selections tend to be varied and feature at least one TV show figure. It is a recent enough variant that I could see it happening, even if I want him from the Y-Wing more.
  6. I'm the guilty party that caused that. But when you get down to it the piece and size ratio does not work.
  7. What do you mean, I would get pumped for a remake of everyone's favorite vehicle: the Tie Crawler.
  8. I am pretty sure the Resistance Shuttle was just rumors going out of control. The one Sequel Trilogy Leia variant that I want is her but unless that is used for a promotional figure, it will not happen.
  9. The display pieces have been getting better as they come out. I could go for a few more even if I would prefer a polybag (Even if not a Revan or TC-14 quality. A Yularen type would be fine). I do prefer these to the R2 and BB-8 GWPs from a few years back.
  10. To play devil's advocate, Vaughn is an officer, but there is no way he would be included. If they refuse to make the helmet mold for Cody, they will not make it for a clone that just got introduced for one episode. In the grand scheme of thing Vaughn will probably not even get a Hasbro figure, let alone an inclusion in a lego set. If we get a clone with the AAT it will be Rex or a generic clone. Temper expectations.
  11. Good catch. This is the 2nd time they have done this, after the ARC Trooper from years ago.
  12. Has it been discussed what the background of the CG is based on? It looks like Cato Nemoidia due to the overhead rock arches in the right. So this along with the trooper design deviations of the jet troopers pretty much shows that this is not specifically taken from TCW Season 7 or even TCW in general. I mean it is not like the background matters much as long as it looks nice.
  13. They were pretty well stocked in my area up until mid February when I bought one. I mean sure there was not a full row but there were always at least a couple on shelves. So it sold well but never hit a shortage. Given the $30 price point for this I don't see too much of an over demand to the point of large backorders.
  14. It says something that my first reaction to the pic was me thinking it was fake. This is a super army builder. I am really impressed it only includes one jet trooper. Usually a 3 to one figure split does not happen in battle packs, but they decide to give 3 figures of what people want. The BARC and AT-RT are both just the right scale to be mass-able (I mean I have seen some smaller and more accurate mocs for the AT-RT but I suppose that would compromise the structural integrity). Seriously anyone who complains about this is just a sad person looking to complain.
  15. I am actually impressed by the Tie Pilot. Of all of the helmets, I may actually get that one. It being black makes the shaping problems it shares with the Stormtrooper less pronounced, and the tubes look rather clean and makes it look like there is more substance compared to the others.
  16. I mean I am not a fan of the set builds being a game board style, but this is certainly not a bad move. I am a tad deflated that it is generic Super Mario and not specific games, but oh well. Either way the brick builds the actual character builds of non human characters are nice, except goombas which look off. I am hyped about Shy Guy though. I also am thinking that the $10 sets will be these reader figures, as there are four, which is the perfect amount for Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad. Blind bags will probably be mini builds for blocks with different QR printed plates as a power-up pack. So stuff like Fire Flowers, Stars, Coins, etc. This is entirely baseless, but I think this will perform well. They are gimmicky, but good gimmicks, having that Nintendo feel. I actually could also see this system converted over to Zelda with a modular dungeon gimmick too in the future.
  17. Well now my May the Fourth list is now barren. I will probably just skip it. The helmets are okay, but it would not have hurt to throw in a figure of the characters, it is not like Fett, Stormtroopers or Tie Fighter Pilots would require a print or mold.
  18. Personally I am setting the BARC expectations low. Like as low as 2 Kashyyyk scout troopers recolored tan and labeled as "Jaaku Clone Troopers", a clone naval crewman, and a 212th Airborne trooper that has gray lines on the leg printing instead of the 2014 version's black lines. The reaction would be palpable.
  19. Well, that is surprising, but now that another source corroborates this, it is a welcome one. I do think M&R jumped the gun making a video about it even if he expressed his own disbelief, but if he turns out to be accurate then no foul.
  20. The last I can remember was the Flash Speeder all the way back in 2015, which was Tarpals, 2 Naboo guards and 2 droids, about the same as your speculation. So at best, I could see an officer type clone (Probably Rex), and two other clones to pilot the speeder and AT-RT respectively against 2 droids, probably B1s. And even then, the Flash Speeder was a long time ago before the sequels made small sets on average a lower fig count.
  21. The perspective does round out the Razorcrest. I still will probably replace a few of the smaller light gray studs and grated 1x2 tiles with some silver and gunmetal ones I have on hand to give it more contrasting surface details.
  22. I feel so dumb in hindsight for never thinking to use Mixel joints to articulate Vulture Droid Legs. I also like that headhunter color contrast. It is bright, jarring and tacky in the best of ways, like from a cheesy 1970s sci-fi film. Love it.
  23. I am pretty proud of how close I got here. $20 less and two of figures were only half right, but hey, I can still strike this one off the list. That Kuiil and Scout Trooper Microfighter better be in the pipeline though.
  24. You speak the truth. Is this a perfect set? Nah, but it is really formidable. The difference in mood here between before and after this reveal is night and day. Sure this set has those complaints about not having every figure (I am guilty of this for being bummed for no Kuiil). Though it is nothing compared to the gloom of "Evil" Disney "slaughtering" innocent sets due to their "terrible" movies leading to a death spiral for Lego while not giving into the "reasonable" demands for every named clone from TCW that has been going on the past few days. I am greatly exaggerating complaints, but that just comes from how civil and positive everyone is being now. After all, most of the anxiety stems from that uncertainty of a wave. Which gives me hope that when sets are actually shown, people will be more receptive.
  25. I am glad we are getting a scout trooper, but for those that have watched the show.
