  1. I don't know if this is the one you mean but I found this one: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/studio/design.page?idModel=115367
  2. Hi @ClassicLook, the way I did it was to simply modify the section that plugs in the rear. In step 317 replace the two tan clips with a 1 x 4 plate, then after step 322 fit the two tan clips above the two 1 x 10 plates and put another 1 x 4 plate on top of them - this moves them up by two plates and was enough to get it level.
  3. The parts we needed to complete the modifications to steps 12 and 13 arrived today: Looks like standard in this view apart from the vents being correctly oriented, thanks to @Lock Steps 12 and 13 by Barry Lunn, on Flickr As can be seen, we have modified the starboard side sections to split them like the port side to give access to room 3, which is a blank canvas at the moment. Steps 12 and 13 hatch off by Barry Lunn, on Flickr We have also completed the floor in room 4 and covered up the top of the canon (mostly) - not sure how this is going to work yet as I know the passageway to the cockpit goes over this section. Room 4 by Barry Lunn, on Flickr The plan now is to complete steps 15 to 17, then look at modifying the cockpit, adding content to rooms 3 and 4 and some other things we have in mind.
  4. Thanks for the tip @Bigdwazda, I've just done the same as you and agree it looks much better.
  5. We are only doing one step a day but are often skipping days. We are only doing modifications that we feel won't have an impact on the standard build - we want to complete then go back and modify. I think there will need to be quite a bit of disassembly involved.
  6. Funny you should say that @Bigdwazda, I was just looking at it (having done the mod about an hour ago) and was thinking to either add more 1 x 2 plates or remove them. I like your idea to remove them.
  7. We completed step 11 on Monday night and since then have installed @Lock's Mandible Gap mod, @ClassicLook's engine mod (plus flattened the underside), fitted a floor to Room 3 and modified the mount for the canon (rotated it 180 degrees) to give more room in Room 4. We now have all the parts for @Lock's Vent mod and most of the parts for our variation on @ekrangnes's Lando Hatch (if we can get it working). Mandible Mod by Barry Lunn, on Flickr Engine Mod by Barry Lunn, on Flickr Canon Mod copy by Barry Lunn, on Flickr Next will be back to the regular build with Step 12.
  8. That's correct - the URL is written out with the bricks - very clever
  9. I can answer that for you as I had the same issue - Lock writes his full web address out with those tiles - if you make it smaller you can see them, draw a box round them all and delete them to get the real parts list.
  10. Thanks @ekrangnes, 3705 is the 4L axles - once I understood which part the arches were (and that it was the same part back to back) I realised what you meant about the axles.
  11. Hi @ekrangnes, I love the top hatch cover and shields design and would like to incorporate in our build - can you tell me the number for the two arches that form the hole please? Edit: Scratch that - 3307 x 2 plus 3705 x 2 - I had found it but was fooled by 'Studio' showing it as a stepped part not a smooth semi-circle
  12. We have just completed step 9 - that was a challenge getting the upper mandible covers to line up. Parts have started arriving for the first of the mods (engine, vents and mandible gap) and we are now officially on the March wait list for the Brickstuff sound and light kit. I've been working on the design for motorising the ramp in 'Studio' and I plan to drive it from the remote button that operates the landing lights. I have some micro RC servos coming as I hope to install it without cutting down too much on what will be room 4 (where the canon is). Probably have to take a break now until Sunday as we have a 9 hour round-trip on Saturday morning (leaving at 4am).
  13. How about the Light my Bricks solution: https://www.lightmybricks.com.au/products/star-wars-ucs-millennium-falcon-75912-lego-light-kit Alternatively just buy the parts for what you want from their range? Remote control and flicker effects here: https://www.lightmybricks.com/collections/diy-effects-lego-lights
  14. @Bigdwazda, funny that - I will probably wait until I do the engine mod to flatten that panel though.
  15. Hi @macaron35, Yes, I was playing with the drop down canon earlier as it seems such a waste of space in Room 4 to have the mechanism where it is - I managed to rotate it all to the other side which looked much better for the room but then wondered if it would conflict with the lower sides when they go on so put it back to standard, just in case.
  16. Hi, another newbie here (well sort of), whilst I started playing with LEGO 58 years ago and of late have been slowly building/collecting the UCS Star Wars kits (X-Wing, Tie Fighter and now MF), this is my first time 'modifying' kits other then fitting the 'Light my Bricks' kits to the X-Wing and Saturn V. I have been wanting the 75192 MF since it came out and finally got the kit just after Christmas 2019. We have just completed Step 6 (I'm building it with my daughter) - as we have been building, I have seen several areas where I want to change things as they just seem not quite right or could be improved. I have just read through all 34 pages of this thread and see some fantastic ideas. Thanks to @ClassicLook, for the engine mod and to @Lock, for the great website and downloadable files. I now have the parts on order for the engine, Mandible Gap and Vents plus more to start work on the Cockpit and Room 3. We plan on completing the build according to the instructions then go back and start modifying - probably harder that way but I want to see how it all fits together first. I will be getting (or making) a glass coffee table for it to go in so want to have the lights controllable by remote. I do like the LightMyFalcon kit and may jump on the March 2020 release. I would also like to motorise the ramp and possibly the 'Lando' hatch if I can - again with remote but lets see how we go Step 6 by Barry Lunn, on Flickr
