  1. Here's my two cents-- Drapeau Bleu--means blue flag in French, kind of a long one but catchy Martinet- means swift in French British names here if you don't mind Wikipedia Happy christening!
  2. Graphite and charcoal. Nice. Nice to see someone who appreciates different mediums of art. Welcome to EB!
  3. Thanks all :) I'm glad that the dark pictures didn't ruin anything . Happy vignette-ing, legodac!
  4. HERE'S the right thread. So, asking for the only-mailing-list people who might be wondering, do the mailing-list-but-no-account people have claimable bonus points for being on the mailing list, even though they don't have an account? Thanks for answering, sorry about the wrong thread thing
  5. LOVE IT! Especially the car :) Officially cute and fuzzy!
  6. Your wish is my command... Father Mackenzie, writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear (sorry, a bit dark; if you want lighter pictures just ask ) No one comes near... Look at him working, darning his socks in the night when there's nobody there... What does he care? (Yes, that's a sock, not a banana peel ) Eleanor Rigby, died in the church and was buried along with her name, nobody came... Father Mackenzie, wiping the dirt from his hands as he walked from the grave, no one was saved... More pictures here. Hope you like, sorry about the dark (not to mention blurry ) pictures, but I was trying to capture the picture described in the song... The graveyard was my favorite (is this weird? ) . No one put flowers on Eleanor's grave (the one with the fresh dirt) but a flower fell off a nearby plant, perhaps showing that someone, out there... might have cared. >SNIFF< ANYWAY. I tried to make Father Mackenzie too cheerful as he walked from the grave. "All in a day's work" kind of thing. :D The END! (As always, constructive criticism is welcome, not to mention expected )
  7. There's room for two up there in the empty cavern of my head
  8. Why don't you just move on in where my brain should be?! I'll get started as soon as all of my Beach House LEGO aren't being used Thanks!
  9. Before my name dies with me, I will tell you all that my interests are primarily in LEGO Pirates and LEGO City. I am not a ranting raving Beatles fan, but I do like my name-sake-song. In fact, i'd rather listen to Classical music than anything (while I'm building, of course ) I am especially appreciating the "Pictures at the Exhibition" MOC's. I love writing! Period!!! Hello all.
  10. Hello! This is my first EB post and my first MOC. Enjoy! It's a bit of a WIP, so suggestions are welcome. I based my MOC on the Beatles song "Eleanor Rigby", or actually one line of it. It was a simple build but it was fun (of course ) and was also really easy to do because the song is so descriptive and makes a clear picture in your mind. EDIT: More pictures on Post #5 :). The verse goes: Eleanor Rigby/ picks up the rice in the church where a wedding has been/ lives in a dream/ Waits at the window/ wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door/Who is it for? Here are the pictures, plus more on my Photobucket. (Linky) I tried to make to church completely symmetrical with the pews and archway-vine decoration, the symmetry only to be destroyed by the flowers, confetti, and Eleanor picking up the rice. Thanks in advance for feedback!
