Thack Desteck—Day 3, The Long Night
Araveea replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It could be a message for the Traitor, which would imply they haven't been recruited yet? -

How would that make Eeyara not town? Are we really to believe a soon-to-be-dead scum? -

Let's just say that with the holidays and all, some people are less active and/or available than others. Plus there was apparently some lengthy deliberation about what to do with the information. -

Well it's not so much about Eeyara having a claim, but about other information out there that makes someone else a more likely suspect than Eeyara. It seems that people are more inclined to speak privately than publicly. It would appear that there is indeed a night result out there, but that no one is willing to act upon it, for various reasons (painting targets on their back and all that carp*). Coralaaze has been investigated Gorgon. Now given the way she's been pushing for Eeyara to be lynched, I can't believe that they can both be Gorgons. Given the choice, I'd be willing to test this info by lynching Coralaaze, who apparently has been investigated, rather than Eeyara, who has not. If it turns out that Coralaaze is town, the "investigator" will have to answer for it. Vote: Coralaaze. *Get it? Carp! -

Unvote: Eeyara. I had a private conversation with Eeyara, and while I wasn't very confident in my vote to start with, now I'm pretty sure she isn't our best bet today. I still need some time to figure out who is though. I just wish she were more active here. She's about to get lynched basically because she wouldn't defend herself. -

Okay, time to vote. I'm still a bit suspicious of Zannder and Eeyara, for the reasons mentioned in the preceding days. On the other hand, thanks to very little activity there's not much I can add to support those suspicions. And I do agree that not lynching can only get us so far. We have been lucky to lose only one Oceanide so far, but we can't expect this relative calm will last forever. So it's a difficult choice, and for now I'm choosing to vote: Eeyara. Mainly because we need to start somewhere and because voting patterns will only become useful when people are dead. It sounds awful but I don't hear anyone suggesting better. -

Oh, I read your post too quickly. Yes, if you have strong suspicions about someone specifically, then it should be shared. -

Bear with me. Well you should have kept that to yourself, as I said earlier. At least until votes are cast. Now the recruited traitor (assuming they have been recruited) will make sure not to "drop a case" and look suspicious. It's a wasted opportunity to catch the traitor in the act. And then the Traitor will know what to avoid, and the scum will use your read to find out their partner if they haven't already. It's a double-edged sword really. It does make a difference, if you stop and think about it... Once they're recruited, the Traitor will have a different voting strategy. But I'll let you figure it out yourself, because I don't want to help Gorgons if I can avoid it. On the off chance that they haven't found out their partner yet. -

Yup, no kill is totally fishy. Many things might have happened but I'm going to assume the worst, that the three Gorgons are now working together as a team. But it's still surprising to me that they would have found their lost teammate so quickly... pure chance or did we miss an important clue? I'm not sure how we would be able to tell, but it's probably better to keep it to yourself for now. What do you mean? -
Thack Desteck—Day 2, That Tickles!
Araveea replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It should be: Eeyara: 5 (Cadd, Coralaaze, Marwyyn, Tameekys, Luxxon) Marwyyn: 2 (Nerrio, Zandder) The rest seems fine. -

But it was Cadd voting first, Coralaaze joined in afterwards. Who's the mouton? -

It's still unusual... but yeah, we can't rule it out completely. Seems like she was just assuming that we had a vig. Or maybe she is the vig. Given that we just learned that yesterday's scroll wasn't a kill action, maybe Oceanides have a vig after all. In any case, I will give her a couple of hours. If she doesn't show up soon, I will switch my vote. I don't feel like going through all this again tomorrow. -

Inactive Oceanides are only helping Gorgons. Eeyara could still be Gorgon though, because even Gorgons can have busy lives and such. Nevertheless, if she's Oceanide her lynch will be pretty uninformative. I doubt there will be any backlash tomorrow. Not speaking up and not voting makes one an easy and safe prey for Gorgon bandwagoning. That said, I might still change my vote by the end of the day. Is a bad lynch better than no lynch at all? -
Thack Desteck—Day 2, That Tickles!
Araveea replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
What? I find it strange that Eeyara wouldn't speak today. Perhaps she's unwell or busy elsewhere, because I'm thinking that Gorgons would be a bit more out there. Unless it's a new strategy. It seems obvious that my current vote won't lead us to a lynch today. I am of two minds about Eeyara. On the other hand voting is compulsory, so if she doesn't show up soon she will basically be lynched anyway. That goes for you too Scabowee-wah. -

Wait a minute, where did I say that again? I find it very interesting that you say on one hand that you don't pay attention to what I'm saying, and in the same breath reveal that you noticed something very specific. You sound to me like you are on the lookout for people who might be waiting for results of night actions. -

Well it'd be nice if he also shared his suspicions in public. Why did he confide in you then? I also spoke with him but he said nothing of the sort. -

Sowing the seeds of discord? What the bollocks? I'm acting scummy? You're not discussing my voting, you're not discussing my theories, you're focusing on small talk that has no influence whatsoever on who anyone is voting for. Sorry but this is uber lazy. What do you thing of Zannder? Accuse me for pointing fingers at the wrong people, or trying to have an innocent lynched, not because I'm arguing about clues in pictures. Pah. No wonder your name is so weird. Naancee would sound better. -

Aah, sweet singing clears the mind. I love how the sea spider seemed to enjoy the music too. Seems like everyone is gone for their beauty sleep though. Wakey wakey, it voting time! As I said earlier, I'm still suspicious of Eeyara. But going back to yesterday's conversations, something else struck me as slightly odd. I find it interesting that you would change your vote not long after I mentioned that scum never vote for each other on day 1. Coincidence? Did you really believe Marwyyn was scum? Or did you think that going after your partner yesterday would serve you in the long run? It's a long shot but I'd like to hear you on this. Vote: Zandder. -

I know he's a NPC. You mean that the fact that he's described as a "killer-for-hire" is not indicative of his role in the game, but he's just used to illustrate night kills, irrespective of the method or party involved? -

Poor Ronnan. I can't say I'm surprised that he was chosen by the Gorgons (assuming it was the Gorgons, of course). The theories mentioned so far do make sense. Either the Gorgons suspected he had a role, or they thought nobody would think of protecting him last night, or even that he was a Traitor lying low. And they wouldn't kill one of those who had a couple on votes yesterday, in the hope of pressing the issue again today. I do doubt they wanted him dead in order to cast more suspicion on me because of that vote, but maybe it was just an added bonus. That said, until there's something new, I'm still suspicious of Eeyara, for the same reasons mentioned yesterday. It's not much though. I find it interesting that a killer-for-hire would be the one to hit Ronnan. Is it just another way to hide the allegiance of the killer, or is it literally one player (the Traveler?) doing the kills for all parties? Through the scrolls? Okay, I won't be mentioning the scrolls again, don't lynch me! -
Thack Desteck—Day 1, The Gorgon Spies

Interesting point you're bringing. Thanks for the research. What I see though is scum basically voting in more or less the same pattern as town. Yeah they do pile on when a lynch seems to be attainable... sometimes. I have added some red in there to show what happened when the scum were being voted for. Seems like scum never vote for other scum on day one. I suppose that's not rocket science, but still. -

You seem excessively wary of bandwagons, even when none exist. The "excessive" amount of two votes on my poor behalf should make you uneasy about adding your vote to the wagon? What about the three votes on Marwyyn, isn't that super suspicious? I didn't hear me becoming excessively defensive. But did you expect me not to react at all when the scroll discussion became a reason to vote for me? I'm going to give you even more reasons to suspect me, as I'm going to vote for you. There, another bandwagon forming. You really seem to be walking on eggs with the voting for yourself, avoiding bandwagons and just being wishy-washy. It's also an odd feeling. Vote: Eeyara. -

I do see a pattern. People who speak up are being accused of talking rubbish on a day when there's nothing to talk about, by people who have barely opened their mouth. Going by that logic, Gorgons should just shut up and wait until the Oceanians lynch one another over silly small talk.
