Thack Desteck—Day 3, The Long Night
Tameekys replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Unvote: Eeyara Vote: Coralaaze Based on the fact that she hasn't come in to defend herself, perhaps it rings true? -

That's a bit of an odd turnaround. How long were you typing for that you didn't see Eeyara post? So, your primary reason to vote for her is because she's silent, but yet when you discover she has been speaking, you keep your vote on her anyway. That's even worse reasoning than my vote for her. -

I forgot to bold Vote: Eeyara because I'm dumb. -

I'll Vote: Eeyara so we can finally pew-pew someone. Like Araveea said, it sounds awful to get rid of someone just to analyze vote patterns and such, but we don't have any other real options. -

If you've decided this early on that you're voting for Eeyara, what's the point of even showing up once you've voted? I doubt anything substantial will come up, and realistically we should have gotten rid of her yesterday. I don't know if there's anything to look for in past days, but perhaps getting rid of someone that was nearly voted out is a good idea. I will see if there's anything else that anyone has to say. I have a feeling they would have by now, but perhaps they're waiting for the start of voting to make a big reveal. If it comes down to it, I suppose I can support voting for her. At this point we need to vote somebody out, or we'll have another Day One. -

I'll have you know that it's for medicinal purposes only. I'll also let you know that I've been baking it into all the cookies and pies that I've been giving you throughout the years. With that out of the way, I think it's important to recognize that there are several things that could have happened last night, some of which have already been mentioned. There's the block and protect. There's the chance that they recruited their traitor by using their kill. There's a chance that in a game this small the scum can only kill every other night and therefore could have used a different night action. Or perhaps the traveler was able to use a block or protect scroll last night as well, which could be another possibility for the lack of kill. Someone said earlier that with twelve of us left it's a one in ten chance, which is true. It's possible that they might have gotten very lucky. -

She speaks! It does look quite like a bandwagon is forming against you but we're almost out of options. The only other choice is to vote for Marwyyn, as you and others have. As it stands it doesn't appear that we'll be seeing you voted out. If the vote tally is correct stays the same, with Scabowee-wah not voting and three people splitting their vote, it looks like you'll be given a reprieve. There's only so much time left in the day. -

I think it's possible that the penalty votes are applied the next day (if she's not voted out), but I might be wrong. It doesn't say so in the rules when the penalty votes are applied. I agree with your point that it's likely that the Gorgons would be more active and out there rather than not posting. Especially since the votes are stacking up against Eeyara in a way that would probably lead to a pew-pew. Perhaps she's just busy negotiating a peace treaty with our neighbors over in Atlantis and has lost track of time. I asked of myself, which is the better option? If Eeyara is spared today and winds up not voting, it's likely she could be voted out tomorrow with the penalty votes. Or, if we vote her out today, there's a good chance that she's town and we're down a townie at the end of the day and likely one tonight. There's about 13 hours left in the day today. It's extremely unlikely that enough people will come around before that to vote for someone else, especially considering some people have been rather quiet all day today. Nobody else on the vote tally (which proves that our host is not perfect and therefore cannot complain about wrong vote tallies in other peoples games anymore) comes close. There's even a chance that we won't pew-pew Eeyara today unless two more people come round and vote for her. I stated when I voted for her that if she comes back as town, all the people who voted for her, including myself, will be seen as suspicious since we voted for her with flimsy reasoning just to get rid of someone so we don't wind up having another Day One. I'm prepared to take the heat. -

I will: Unvote: Cadd Vote: Eeyara For not saying much of anything. Plus we need to get rid of someone today. At the risk of being accused of starting or jumping on a bandwagon, as some people would like to imply since it covers their coral if the person lynched is town, I'll explain why. It seems the rest of the votes are spread out among others just as they were yesterday. We've got the power of our vote, I suggest using it rather than having every vote end in a tie so the scum and pick us off one by one. -

Well, I don't think I've really learned anything new since the day has started other than some people still read too much into the pictures despite countless reminders of no clues in pictures. So I'm going to Vote: Cadd again because I still think he's suspicious and also there can only be one old timer under the sea here. Speaking of which, I've knitted everyone a sweater. Even Cadd. -

Long live the new King! You beat me to it correcting Luxxon. Beyond that, I think that them using their kill instead of "recall traitor" is a reasonably better action, since it's a win win for them. They either get their compatriot back or they kill a townie. I think that the night where we don't see any kills is the night where we can say they've got their traitor back into the fold. That said, I'm presuming there's other kill actions out there. The traveler might get one and the town might have one. -
Thack Desteck—Day 1, The Gorgon Spies
Tameekys replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
There's about an hour left and it looks like it is indeed going to be a no-lynch. I don't think it will necessarily be worth it to change my vote to someone to try and secure a vote. Doing so would probably give critics ammunition to use against me claiming I'm scummy for voting for someone for no reason. So I will keep my vote where it is for now. If there's enough people left in the short amount of time, perhaps we could change it. Other than that, I've got a sweater to knit. What's my actual job again? Oh, right agriculture. Well, perhaps after I'll survey the kelp farms or whatever it is we grow. -
Thack Desteck—Day 1, The Gorgon Spies
Tameekys replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I think that some people are overestimating the value of a no-lynch on Day One. All it does is make Day Two look exactly the same. Provided that one of us dies tonight by the scum, it won't really get us any real information that we could use the next day. I'm unsure as to who we should vote for today, but luckily we've still got several hours left. If we're forced with a no-lynch, I suppose that's information that we can use in itself. -

Three people doesn't exactly make a bandwagon. If everyone was suddenly switching their vote and hopping aboard, then I would see something fishy but as of now I don't think that Marwyyn is in any massive danger. Who exactly do you think is colluding? Maybe you could go back to voting for yourself. That way nobody can claim that you're joining a bandwagon and you can keep on appearing as though you're town self-sacrificing yourself. -

I have half a mind to vote for you just because of that pun. Regardless, voting is mandatory. For now I will: Vote: Cadd As he's been a bit suspect in my eyes based off on some of the things that he's said. Such as, trying to stir up confusion about the scrolls and then trying to cause confusion about the lynching process, albeit before we knew it was mandatory. Now he's casting a "safe" vote on someone who hasn't really bothered to show up. Yes, the argument can be made that voting for someone for not coming is a valid day one strategy. After all, Scabowee did the same thing. However it's my vote and that's who I'm voting for until I can be persuaded otherwise. -
Thack Desteck—Day 1, The Gorgon Spies
Tameekys replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I have to agree with this. I don't think it's prudent to reveal if you have a scroll, especially if it does a major action like kill or block. I think the only time that revealing that you've given out a scroll might be if it's an investigative one, and that you've given it off to the traveler. From what I've read, the traveler does not count in regards to the scum outnumbering the town, and that they can win with either side. Things may be different in this game, we'll just have to wait and see. I think it's up to whoever receives the scroll to make the decision as to whether or not to pass it along. We have to remember that this person is neutral, meaning they aren't necessarily bad just as they aren't necessarily good. If they're given a kill scroll, I suppose it's like a serial killer, but I think it's important to note that this person might receive other roles that are more helpful. We've talked this issue into the seabed long enough, though. I don't think there's much more to say about it until we know more about the role. Some people are concerned about who we're going to have zapped on this first day. I think a lot of us have been very repetitive about the traveler role itself because we're all trying to figure out how it works, so I don't know if we can blame people for repeating the same things. It's up to opinion then as to whether or not you want to vote for someone. On an unrelated note, I've brought a fresh batch of cookies for us to eat while we contemplate the day's events thus far. -

I've been doing some reading of the rules, which is something that I've found hard to do since I misplaced my glasses for a few hours. I don't think that giving a scroll is necessarily a "night action" meaning that if you do hand over a scroll, you will not necessarily be seen doing that. It is entirely possible that I am wrong. After all, I read it without my glasses. I find it extremely unlikely that the traveler will reveal themselves just to try and confirm that someone handed them the scroll instead of another night action. Especially since, from what I understand, the traveler will not know who sent them the scroll. What's to stop counter-claims by people in regards to scroll sending? -

Don't worry dears! I've baked some nice macadamia nut cookies for us all while we try to figure out who to zap with a magical scepter. How did I bake something underwater? Magic, that's how. Don't ask questions. -
