  1. Another beautiful model! i think we should let Paul write his own threads though... tim
  2. Good to see you building something , i am sure more will follow... tim
  3. I was thinking the same thing. Although instead of full instructions, i would prefer instructions for smaller things like the truck chassis or the suspension he uses in his trucks. i have actually asked him before by email and he told me that the does not want to make instructions, rather he wants people to figure it out on their own . tim
  4. Wow that is awesome, so many functions! My chances of winning just decreased dramatically . tim
  5. I love the green color scheme. i am very impressed that you managed to get so many green parts! tim
  6. As i have said before, i love your entry. However, i cringe when i see the bent axles . tim
  7. She's beautiful! looks awesome. Will it be done in time for the deadline? tim
  8. Progress looks good. i assume that the upper carriage will not spin when the rest of it is built? tim

  11. Absolutely beautiful pictures! I cant wait to see your next creation. tim
  12. I was going to say this aswell. A while back one of the Lego creator designers came to my loacl library and held a lecture. It was very interesting and when i asked "Does lego build in any particular scale" i got a reply that they fit the scale of the model to the size of the wheels available and most cost effective. Just backing you up . tim
  13. The truck looks good. Do you have a video? Tim
  14. Nice video, the functions work great . tim
  15. Thank you . the worst part was when one of the pneumatic hoses came lose on the compressor after the model was pretty much done. After much destroying of the exterior i finally found the faulty hose, which was the deepest part in the model . tim
  16. i had that set as well and i think i remember having some of the same problems. i think it is just part of the design. tim
  17. I had a similar experience with the 8043 excavator. i researched the set for weeks looking at mods and the pros and cons of the set. when i finally got the set, i was beyond happy . tim
  18. Wow the excavator is an interesting addition. Nice design. tim

  24. Hello Eurobrickers! This is my entry into the Sail the Technic Sea contest, and Allanp is going to love all the pneumatics . I interpreted the prompt a bit differently as my model sails the sea of snow . The entry is a completely remote control 1/16 scale Pistenbully snowgroomer with a kaiser excavator on the back. The model has many remote control features, including: 1. right track 2. left track 3. blade up and down 4. blade rotate 5. blade tilt 6. compressor override 7. excavator slew The cab was the most difficult part for me to build, and it took several nights to get the proper shape. Overall I am pleased with the shape and detail of the interior. The model also has a ton of manual controls, including: 1. boom up and down 2. boom in/out 3. dipper extend 4. bucket curl The excavator is slightly recycled from my previous walking excavator and it is a lot of fun to control. It is powered by a automatic compressor with the remote override, to keep the pump going even if the pressure valve turns it off. here you can see the switches for the excavator. Originally I was going to put the switches on the body of the groomer but I ran out of room so I put them here instead. You can also see where the battery box is hidden. Since I ran out of room in the body, the compressor and battery boxes were both placed inside the tracks on opposite sides. Here you can see a profile shot of the whole model. And the original(i cant re-size it because it is not my picture): Finally a video to show all the functions in action: For more pictures visit the Brickshelf Gallery For more WIP photos visit my Facebook Page Thank you for the wonderful contest Siegfried! tim EDIT: Orig topic.
