  1. I'm holding out hope that they'll do a CMF series for each one of the Kanto gym leaders with a molded Pokemon.
  2. Internally at LEGO I would assume movie based sets wouldn't technically be considered in-house themes, because the team would have to work with the studio. But as a fan I group them together, especially with something like the Ninjago movie which is directly inspired by an in-house theme, even though structurally they probably had to get approval from and share revenue with WB for those specific sets like any other licensed theme. Who knows what these films will end up being, but I could see a LEGO Space movie or a LEGO Pirates movie. Something along those lines. We know at least one of the films in development is another Ninjago movie.
  3. I'm hoping for a new hydro-man, scream, and classic electro. I want to make a moc of The Amazing Adventures of Spider-man ride at Universal Studios
  4. Looks like there was an update last week, Keanu Reeves is in talks to join the Josh Cooley (Toy Story 4, Transformers One) directed theatrical LEGO film.
  5. Universal is working on a handful of theatrical LEGO movies. Animation takes a while so we haven't had any updates since the writers/directors were announced two years ago. So we should expect a couple dozen sets based on those projects, assuming nothing has been canceled.
  6. LEGO has included remakes as part of their CMF before, but the minifigure's concept needs to be understandable to non-fans. That's why they are almost always described in generic terms that a non-fan would understand. So the Blacktron figure in Series 3 is called "Space Villain", the Bat-Lord remake in Series 25 is called "Vampire Knight". This was changed slightly with Series 26 where figures were given names like "Blacktron Mutant" instead of something more generic like "Mutant Astronaut". Before this change I would've thought a Bionicle CMF would be impossible, it's too specific for a non-fan to understand. But now I think there is a decent chance it could happen. It'll probably be something like "Bionicle Cosplayer" or something else that gives a non-fan an idea of what the figure represents.
  7. It's mostly wishful thinking, but the logic behind the New Goblin guess is that its possible New Goblin was designed and considered for the Spider-man 3 set before the final budget was worked out and the figure moved over to the book release.
  8. I love the X-Men, but even back then the X-Men brand wasn't as strong as we remember it to be. Universal Studios built an entire theme park land dedicated to Marvel in 1999. There were attractions based on the Hulk, Spider-Man, and Fantastic Four, but no X-Men (They later added a small spinner ride featuring Storm from the X-Men to address criticism that they weren't enough rides without height restrictions).
  9. This one seems inevitable after all the new pieces and building techniques the F1 partnership has brought us.
  10. Saber-toothed Tiger and Woolly Mammoth would give us the full Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers line up! (We already have the T-Rex, Pterodactyl, and a Triceratops)
  11. I don't think we'll get a dedicated line of space sets. But maybe we'll get something like "City Space explores an Ice Planet". A spiritual successor to a previous theme, but without the neon 80s/90s aesthetic. 🤷‍♂️
  12. Thank you, that's very kind. The goal is to put things up on Rebrickable sometime this year. You could be a great MOC builder, just takes some practice! Start with small builds. Make small updates to existing sets. The big MOCs can get very complicated, very quickly, which can be discouraging. So start small!
  13. Once I'm satisfied with how they look in Bricklink Studio I'll order the pieces and build them in real life. Then post the results on here. I still have remakes of 6852: Sonar Security and 6897: Rebel Hunter to build. I'm not going to bother with the largest two sets in the series. After this I'll work on M-Tron, Ice Planet, and Spyrius remakes.
  14. Here's a Space Police 2 remake that I've been messing around with, that uses some technics and parts from the 2024 City Space Sets.
  15. You could create a Space Police jail out of Modular Space Station (60433). Each pod would be a jail cell. Shouldn't be too difficult to replace those colours.
