  1. Your count came up exactly like mine. Was your build complete from a mint sealed box? Well, we did build the set and it was far from complete. It was missing a dozen or so bricks for the level 3 and half of everything symmetrical for level 2. I examined the box before I opened it...and it possibly looked like it wasn't factory sealed. Someone did a pretty convincing job of removing and resealing of the tape. I only examined it real hard cause I bought it second hand. Anyway, fortunately, after a couple of days of back and forth emails, I believe we are getting a exchange after we pack up the dud and ship it back. As soon as I get the new box, I will post back and document the actual bag count for confirmation. thanks.
  2. Alot of reviews, but not many note the number of bags. I only came up with an actual count from a reviewer from 2008 on this forum that list 35 bags and 1 generic for a total of 36 and then i found another that only mentions a count of 32 (http://www.helium.com/items/1886129-lego-green-grocer) That's a pretty big discrepancy. As for myself, i only counted 24 bags plus 1 generic for a total of 25 so a huge discrepancy. Yeah, I know that the box is WAY oversized for their product, hence i'm looking for the actual number of baggies...as I have already tried to build the monstrosity. Some people post 6.5 hrs to 9 hrs to build it with all the pieces there. It took us WAY longer to try to do it with tons of pieces missing. It probably would have been smarter to have counted the pieces than to build it and see what's missing. Then again we were told it was a sealed and complete set. Lots of review, but hardly anyone mentions the bag count. The same reviewer who did a bag count for the green grocer did the grand emporium or pet shop one, and in that review he decided that there were too many baggies to count. So yeah, its really hard to find a review that includes the count. I thought I'd ask here to see if some one actually made a count and to confirm that people just count the actual bags and not the small parts bags inside the number of bags. Thanks.
  3. That's what i was thinking too, but my GF is totally fighting me on it since we seem to be missing alot of baggies for a set that we bought second hand that was suppose to be complete and sealed. I think we she got hosed on it and so i hope i get get replacement bags or demand a refund. Thanks for the quick input!
  4. I have a question regarding the number of baggies in theme set. Do you just count the number of baggies that have the numbers or do you also count the unmarked baggies inside as well? I am just curious since I bought a second hand green grocer and I think I am missing a bag or two but I can't confirm the number of baggies? I saw an awesome review of the kit here back in 2008 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=15990 it lists the number of baggies : "Group 1 has 12 bags and goes with the first manual and builds the first floor. Group 2 has 9 bags and goes with the second manual to build the second floor. Group 3 has 14 bags and goes with the third manual for the top floor and roof. And one bag that is not numbered and hence you can open it whenever you feel like it." Is it same to assume that s/he is just counting the number of baggies with the number on it only? I've been asked to do a baggie inventory check to make sure so i can get replacement for missing bags. Thanks
