Designers design sets a year early. This elite police was just another theme, that was planned. Trust me, city did not do this for corona time, they planned it last year. my brother works there, and told me the sets are planned a year or 6 months early. News on the d2c set. earlier today, a extremely secret set was leaked. someone from the lego store or a customer bought it, and leaked it. this set was supposed to come out in august. if this set has already been shipped out, then the new city set most likely has to. there has been a trend of sets being put out early, for example the elite police, and mario. So i would say this new city set will be leaked very soon.

elite police and the air race are on the website. these sets are coming out september 1st, but the other sets still just say coming soon, so maybe they will come out in august or september?

i dont think lego would just stop selling police sets, they must sell well, what do yall think

i think 2020 sets are over. other than the big town set 60271 i think everything has been leaked, im hoping for city 2021 maybe more town based sets, and maybe they will do something new. maybe they will do only 3 - 4 police sets in 2021 instead of a new 7 - 9 set wave, and the same with fire. maybe they will also bring back coast guard. it seems like maybe they will bring back these old cargo, farm, ect for the tv show, then doing new sets for those. i really hope there is not a brand new police wave, i hope they just expand on the 2020 police, i really like those sets.

lego is probably doing a third police wave because the police sets sell well, and they wanted to do a elite police wave. my brother works there, he designs the website. he says that the city fire and police sell very well. maybe farm and harbor and stuff didnt go well with product testing. in my opinion, 2020 is my favorite year of city. i thought the police was nice, and the summer airport was great. they design sets about a year before. my brother says right now they are designing the summer sets for 2021 most likely also, in jangbricks words: kids that city is marketed to were not alive when the older police came out, so there just going to keep pumping out city police for new generations, especially if city is marketed to 4 - 5 year olds.

a elite police set has been leaked, 60272 looks like a elite police boat transport car. it has duke detain and clara the criminal. so i guess there is 3 elite police sets coming, either way i like them. what do you guys think? (picture is on #legoleaks on instagram)

there should be a city set that includes a mall, with maybe 4 stores, a civilian car, and to satisfy city they could include a robber and mall security

i think there is 3 sets that have not been leaked, 1: 60271 - town D2C rumored to have a yellow tram 60272 - a possible elite police set 60269 - ??? maybe a donut shop type set? i have a feeling those sets are going to get leaked. it looks like all these sets that have been leaked are from a magazine, so i hope the big town set, 60271, and 60272 gets leaked. fingers crossed, im very eager to see 60271

i love the new airport, but 100 for 650 pieces is expensive. that ship is crazy expensive too, 150 for 750 pieces. im so exited for the new town set, i hope it gets revealed or leaked soon.

i wish lego city would do a water park/resort set like friends did. i also think it would be cool if they did a mall set.

im selling some of my sets and need a lego opinion: would you buy 100% complete sets on ebay or bricklink? they do not have boxes, but include instructions.

if there is a tram there will probably be a small station, but D2C sets usually just have buildings and cars

i hope there is some sort of city hall or something like that. it is likely this will go with the TV series, so maybe the mayor will play a part, since we have never gotten a city hall. i also hope there is a station for the tram.
