  1. Maybe the upcoming Spider-Ham? Hard to visualise it without the web print. :( Don’t remind me. :(
  2. This one is the Ideas submission which deserves an extra life.... https://ideas.lego.com/projects/812f1a22-8af7-4491-93fc-cca8a194e2bf
  3. Think of the potential around the Luigi’s Mansion part of the theme...
  4. Is it Super Mario Bros 3 where one of the powerups is a leaf?
  5. Oh ****. If this leads on to Lego Wind Waker, same minifig form factor as the Powerpuff Girls, then I might as well just give Lego my PIN number.
  6. Lord, I’m old. In the 80s we had to make our own Vaders with a Castle footsoldier helmet and a red Space Police arial. And even then we had to wait until 1990 for the black ghost head. So since everyone was wondering why there’s supposed to be another Hulkbuster later this year... Are we taking bets yet on whether it’s Venomized??
  7. Spider-Ham as a fully printed Fabuland figure, flat feet and all, or G.T.#.O.! And why wouldn’t they use the MODOK head they used a few years ago? It’s not like you can use it for much else. ‘Brickbuilt’ in the rumour might just be the hover chair again.
  8. I wasn’t paying full attention, but ‘Venom Aunt May vs Powerminer Separatists’ sounds great; thanks Lego!
  9. I can’t believe they keep missing the obvious slam dunk of the Thanoscopter. The story it’s in is basically like a set description anyway - 1x helicopter, 1x villain, 1x Spiderman, 1x random other hero, 1x child on skateboard with ice-cream. Good kids’ set. Good set for adults to buy ironically. Win-Win.
  10. I am now even more bewildered by the pricing of last year’s helicopter set. If the news is correct then it’s more or less twice what this set costs? And this helicopter has a second rotor which isn’t a sticker. And it has a back half. This could almost be a price sensitivity consumer experiment at this point. I suppose the answer could be “We have a Hulk”, but... New chopper looks neat though. I think there are some overlooked gems in the Marvel aircraft so far, the Hogan plane from FFH and Black Panther’s CW jet were both solid beasts. And respect to that little quad bike which would be too basic for a magazine cover. So bad it goes all the way back round to genius. I love it.
  11. Hm, but that's only 8 months to decide whether to buy Vision Mech or Scarlet Witch Mech first. Maybe it'll be a two-pack, to make it easier.
  12. Loads of interest & pages of discussion for two polybags compared to the reception the sets got. Ouch.
  13. Whether they did it off concept art for either film, or from the final version (which I assume is CG) used in Doctor Strange or Thor, it's not really important. I was just saying that I think that particular piece of art was done for Infinity War, and that that particular angle is a good showcase for how good a job they did on the set.
  14. Yeah, my guilt has been kicking in for a while now! That's why I've been pivoting to reminiscing about how good the Infinity War sets were. In the hope that the cosmic positivity will loop back around and we'll get sets like that again. Speaking of which - This is some old concept art, I think it was for IW and not Doctor Strange, https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/58116388414fb5b9a0823523/1526920413944-3GZZZ9CUN1BN1WBY1Q8Y/WALTON+SANCTUM+2.jpg?format=2500w&content-type=image%2Fjpeg but it shows what an amazing job they did on the Sanctum set. Managing to shave out a middle floor and some of the building width but still having so many of the details match up? Very well done.
  15. I also thought people were pretty happy with the Far From Home wave. I know Lego Jon Favreau was all wrong. But that was a solid aeroplane, particularly if you left the stickers off. Mysterios for everyone, regardless of which set you got. The Venice set didn’t do much for me, I think it reminded me too much of the death rattles of the Hobbit line, but everyone here seemed to love it. And this was all only a few months ago. And while the Endgame range was admittedly *weird*, you have to give them credit for doing a Hall of Armour. People here were asking for it and they got it! (Super off topic, but the form factor of the Troll figures did the same thing for me as the Powerpuff figures - i.e. made me curse the heavens that we can’t have Wind Waker sets that look like that)
  16. The wave for Infinity War was mint. Two-part spaceship which looked like what was onscreen, an Easter-egg packed location set which bridged the divide between playset and display piece really well, couple of Hulkbusters in case you missed the one before.... I think that’s why people are taking these reveals badly. It’s been kind of a rapid plummet. Do we need to change “Discussion” in the forum title to “Support Group” yet?
  17. Woof. If this is an insane plot to make Hulk's Haunted Helicopter look like a slam dunk $60 fun time, then it's almost working. Scrolling down the for-once-functional #legoleaks search, did anyone else notice that pretty much every set, across every theme except Star Wars, has MASSIVE HUGE OVERSIZED TYRES WHICH ARE BIGGER THAN THE VEHICLE WOULD EVER NEED? Maybe someone messed up on the 2020 order form for rubber. At least it's greasing my guilty slide into spending hundreds which I shouldn't spend on that Batmobile.
  18. That’s actually a really good idea. Proper lemonade from lemons. Watching the video posted above... oof. The helicopter is even worse than I thought. I’m trying to picture how big a leviathan they could have got if they’d diverted the full piece count into just that. It wouldn’t have been movie scale but it could still have looked good. And I know the ‘kids need to stage a battle’ angle, but I think all ages would have probably been happier with an exciting villain-monster for some loose heroes to punch than with a helicopter where the rear rotors are a flipping sticker.
  19. I’m prepared to repurpose my long-standing commenting campaign for a constraction Starlord into one for a constraction Star-Panther. That works for me :)
  20. I just took another look and while I like to try to be positive, it’s really not great, is it? Most of it is a Hulk hole. And I think he’s got a Space Stone or three anyway, why does he need the ghost of Black Widow to drive him around at all? As sets with ‘rescue’ and ‘helicopter’ in the name go, it’s not a patch on this one. It doesn’t even have a working siren! https://brickset.com/sets/6482-1/Rescue-Helicopter
  21. I hear that! What is it about that set which makes the pricing seem so out of whack? It’s Lego who are wrong and not us, right? What’s there is not two thirds of a Sanctum Battle.
  22. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! So harsh. So fair. Nearly spat my drink. ...and would you like two or three Outriders with your build, sir?
  23. Ah come on, there's no point fighting the pull of the merchandisable vehicle. You brought it up, I'm just running with it. Not sure which would be the better version to see getting the brick treatment... This https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1440/2084/products/Hot_Wheels_Vision_Car4.jpg?v=1485913102 or this? https://ifanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/Vision-and-the-Scarlet-Witch_1-1024x786.jpg I'm cool with the second, but I will have to insist on it using the Fabuland chassis and grille: https://brickset.com/sets/3637-1/Gertrude-Goat-the-painter
  24. Maybe the twisted 1950s sitcom thing they’re doing for WandaVision has enough leeway that they can throw a bit of Batman ‘66 in there, in which case a bubble-domed Visionmobile would make perfect sense!
  25. I wasn’t overly interested in Shang Chi originally (I think that goes for a lot of the Phase 4 announcements unfortunately) but I’ve been watching the excellent Kim’s Convenience on The Netflixes for the last few weeks, and now I’ve learned that the Shang Chi is being played by the guy from that, I’m 100% on board. Lego-wise, I just hope they bring out a Mandarin Ultimate Showdown remake. Like when a classic Star Wars set gets redone. That’d be hilarious. It’s actually WandaVision which really has my interest from the Phase 4 stuff. The potential in the rumours/ announcements about the show are awesome, I think there’s a chance it could be the best thing in the MCU if they get it right. So I am hoping for a set from that. They’ve done “sitcom TV set” for Big Bang Theory and Friends so they can roll out that style again, just with more synthezoids and not-mutants and Randall Park.
