The Forest 3 Mafia Day Four—Enough Already

I posted on the writeboard I was going to claim but it wasn’t really discussed. More of “hey heads up I’m doing this” -
The Forest 3 Mafia Day Four—Enough Already

I am perfectly neutral towards Ember. In my opinion the masonries in this village are considerably weaker than in other villages due to the two scum teams and we haven't had a lot of behind the scenes discussion. All I know is he (or she, you never can tell with elephants) is not Hellion, and if we're going to lynch Ember it should not be on the basis of being "teammates" with Gracie, because that at least is not true. In that sense yes my declaration acts as a soft defense. I claimed today because it seemed we were trending towards the Ember/Gracie theory for todays lynch and with Ronan's death I didn't want to risk not having anybody to back up the masonry declaration if Ember or I died, since we're at a crucial point where keeping information now is doing more harm than good. -

I know for a fact Ember and Gracie are not on the same team. That’s because Ember and I are Anti-Hellion Masons. All we know is that the other is not Hellion - but they could be Monster. We were given a writeboard and a one-shot recruit that would fail if we were blocked or targeted a Hellion. We successfully recruited Ronan Night 1, who is no longer with us. Last night I received a one-shot protection action. I don’t know how, or why, but it suggests the existence of a second Inventor. I protected myself last night. I believe Pierrot was indicating his belonging to an anti-Monster masonry on Day 2 which is why some of us were confused and some of us knew what he was talking about. -
The Forest 3 Mafia Day Three—Up In the Air

Leevi had a good point about Ronan, Gracie, and Huxley being the only animals to vote for both Braxton and Myrtle. I’m still suspicious of Haydn, but misreading his vote yesterday significantly weakens my case and at the very least he’s been active. I think there’s a good chance at least one scum is lurking in the shadows, just skating by, and Huxley definitely fits that bill - and he took the lazy route on two bandwagons which both turned out to be town. Vote: Huxley Horse -

I’m sorry. I reread Day 2 and misread your unvoting Pierrot and voting Ember as unvoting Pierrot and voting Myrtle, in which case it would have been a key vote. My fault, and very careless. I was suggesting Pierrot said he could not receive an item because he was a PGO and thus killed Pascha when she vig-killed him. For the record, I think Myrtle was blocked and that’s why I couldn’t receive anything from her. I don’t see how anything I said would be fishing for a doctor claim. I said nothing of the sort, and accusing me of that is grasping for straws. -

That... sucks. No more inventor. I’m surprised more people didn’t unvote after the claim. I know “no clues in the pictures” but the PGO stuff seems oddly specific especially in context of this comment by Pierrot yesterday: “I thought perhaps that she might not be allowed to give a gift to certain villagers just as I know that I, for example , cannot be targeted by a certain other action. “ In which case did Pierrot kill Pascha, the vigilante? I know his anti-Monster stuff yesterday rubbed some people the wrong way and that might have attracted the vig. As for not voting yesterday, I didn’t want to lynch Myrtle after she claimed Inventor and I didn’t get on again after unvoting due to unforeseen circumstances, though if I had I would have voted for Haydn again. Speaking of Haydn, I really think we should be looking at the hippo again today. He was a key vote on Myrtle, seemed too intent on pushing the Day 1 lynch through on Braxton, and had a bit of a scuffle with Pierrot before his feathery demise. Unless some investigative roles come forward with stronger evidence, I advocate ridding ourselves of Haydn today. -
It’s been said but the specifically anti-Monster vs specifically anti-Hellion stuff is legit, and not scum signaling, whatever that even means. I didn’t like Hadyn’s fixation on Braxton yesterday, and nothing that’s been said today has made me waver from that, especially now that we know Braxton was on our side - seemed like someone trying to force thorough a Day 1 lynch to thin the numbers a bit. Vote: Haydn Hippo

Sure, Braxton’s third-party comment was weird, but all he had to say to “whoops, just acknowledging that a third party could exist, I can’t know for sure, harmless speculation” and that would have been the of that - instead he doubled down, revenge votes, and coined the term “bandwagoning bitches” which is certainly a new one for me; I am a male dog, excuse me! However, Braxton’s generally defensive and odd behavior doesn’t particularly strike me as Hellion or Monster behavior. I’m much more interested in those who sought to tear him to shreds for an “easy” Day 1 lynch, or are getting tunnel vision and what is a weak candidate, even for Day 1. Vote: Haydn Hippo

I skimmed what had been said already, and thought the comment was just acknowledging a neutral could exist, which isn't that weird. Then I went back and read the thread again to make sure I hadn't missed anything, saw the exact wording of his comment and thought the aspect of certainty that there must be a neutral in a village of 15 with two scum teams was a bit odd, so I merged replies to acknowledge that. What I mean is when a gathering like this starts out and it's explicitly stated there are at least three factions there will be some speculating on mechanics, you can't avoid it, even if you don't voice those thoughts or speculations.

I assume they would fall under the "eliminate other threats" condition and thus it would not behoove either sect of the mafia to team up against us poor townsfolk, though I could be wrong. As for the neutral comment, I don't think it's that weird. Everyone is speculating about mechanics, even if they're not saying it. … though the certainty with which he said it is a bit odd.
