I can't get the DMs to upload, but essentially BC says that @Legofan2001 took what they said way put of context, and that the only set there's a question about (i.e. might be cancelled but not 100%) is the ToD. -

Anyway, getting back to discussion that's slightly more intelligent than the average hamhock, I DM'd @Brick Clicker as to the validity of the claim that the ToD and Indy 5 sets are confirmed cancelled: (Hold on I need to free up attachment space :( -

So which is it? Are the woke overlords not allowing villains to exist unless they're white, or are they so woke the villains can't be white? These things are directly contradictory. Neither of them make a lick of sense, but at least pick just one. -

No, only the ones who directly commit the war crimes. Then again with your political views it's not surprising you can't comprehend the idea of not dividing people into 100% good or 100% evil based on nationality. Because they're intentionally arguing in bad faith. -

The entire population of... Germans who served in the military for the Nazi regime? You're right, it would be awful to consider that wrong. -

Oh, is the leak that it's 100% cancelled coming from Greekbricks? I'd disregard it, Greekbricks just reposts other people's leaks, they don't have a source of their own. Also, if the set was cancelled months ago I don't see why they would've had it pictured with the other sets that were leaked. -

The "woke" debate is stupid in general, but it's especially ridiculous to complain about in a forum discussing INDIANA JONES. Y'know, the franchise that is literally built on murdering Nazis? -

Nobody was complaining because there is no reason to state things that are self-evident about a movie that came out when the majority of the people in this forum were either in grade school or not born. The reason we're discussing it now is because it's the most likely reason the set was cancelled, and because it's stupid that LEGO has just realized it when it's been problematic since release. Also, you're claiming the set was cancelled because of hypothetical wokeness, but also that nobody complained before today? Which is it? -

Your local Woke PC mob here, I had no problem with LEGO doing a Temple of Doom set, regardless of the film's content. In fact, I was really excited for the likelihood of getting several new non-white minifgure heads to diversify my LEGO display. -

$200 Buildable Chewbacca statue and $15 mechs Oh, that's a good point. I suppose directly depicting a god could very the point of issue, couldn't it? Hopefully they can release the set later this year if they nix the statue, it was the worst part of the build anyway -

Not really. The Osprey was cancelled because an anti-war group complained, and the TNT Hideout was cancelled because LEGO didn't want to release a police raid set in the political climate of 2021 - two happenings that couldn't have been predicted when the sets were being developed. That's what's baffling here: This is hardly the first time LEGO's cancelled the set, but before it's always been because of unprecedented controversy, whereas here the controversy is pretty much the most well-known part of the movie -

Make that just Indy and Willie, the character of Short Round is just as offensive as the Thuggees (to the point where his actor quit acting for 35 years afterward). Again, them not wanting to release a Temple of Doom set is understandable. The problem is that if it violates their guidelines they never should've released it at all. (Then again, imo LEGO can't claim to be against bigotry and racist caricatures while still continuing to profit from Harry Potter, but that's just me.) -

Well, they're excusing the Nazis by having them just be generic "Enemy Soldiers" like in the og line, but you're totally right that the Ark violates their flimsy guidelines just as much as ToD's depiction of religion does. Again, I honestly wouldn't mind if back when they were brainstorming these sets they ruled out Temple of Doom for these reasons - honestly, I could fully understand. But the fact that the set was in development for YEARS and is getting pulled a month before release is ridiculous, and just feels really incompetent on the part of LEGO's leadership. -

The difference there is that nobody had taken offense to Jabba's Palace prior to the LEGO set, so the backlash was unprecedented. It was stupid, but LEGO's decision there was understandable. Temple of Doom, by contrast, has been infamous for being incredibly violent and incredibly racist for nearly 40 years. There's no excuse for putting it into production and then deciding to cancel it in the 11th hour. -

Why? The only reason I can think of is all the flagrant racism, in which case they should've just not made a set in the first place It's the flagship set of the new line, they are going to be burning money for NO LOGICAL REASON It literally comes out in a month, by now they'd already have the sets in warehouses ready to ship out -

There are 12 minifigures, which I'm fairly certain is the most they've ever included in an LSW set under $350 (not including MTTs with B1s). There's no way they don't include any duplicable grunts in there, regardless of what type(s) you think they'll be. -

You don't get a Chrome Vader if we get Fleet Troopers, you do if we get Fleet Troopers AND Honor Guard. All I'm saying is that everyone needs to remember this is the same team that said your Commander Ponds can double as the pilot for your non-minifig-scale $400 Gunship. If you really think those fellas will include both Honor Guard and Fleet Troopers when they could easily serve one another's purposes, I want whatever deathsticks you're smoking. -

This is a playset, LEGO including two members of the Honor Guard and just saying you can use one of them in the watch tower is FAR more likely and in character than taking up two spots with guards and another two spots with Fleet Troopers. They have the same helmet and have equally bland costumes, I'd bet my Chrome Vader we get one or the other. -

Before the list proper, I'd just like to say that, since so many of the characters in this set are repeats and with the cost so high, I really hope LEGO takes the opportunity to update/rectify some figures that have been flawed or stagnant for far too long. (While the OT gets the lion's share of sets, the curse of that is it gives them an excuse to keep the same designs in production for years and years, while whenever we do get prequel sets the figures are usually all new.) Stuff like an accurate Ep. IV Han torso, a new generic Rebel Pilot head, a correctly-colored Chewbacca, or even an Ep. IV-specific Luke head (I've always disliked how there are literally six modern Luke heads for ESB, but the original movie has to share the stoic froggy head from RotJ) would go a long way to making this set not just a long time coming, but an all-time classic. That said, regardless of how they appear, my 12 minifigure prediction is: - Luke Skywalker (Ceremony w/ Medal Piece) - Han Solo (w/ Medal Piece) - Princess Leia (Ceremony, probably using the 2019 TPM Padme hair) - Chewbacca - C-3PO - R2-D2 - General Willard - Gold Five (Pops Krail) OR Gold Three (Evaan Verlaine) - Red Leader (Garven Dreis) - Rebel Honor Guard x2 - Rebel Mechanic I think that if they include the Honor Guard they won't include any Fleet Troopers, also I know everyone's predicting they reuse Dodonna, but imo what would be even more in character for LEGO would be to include the briefing room but not Dodonna as a way to entice people to buy the 75301 X-wing to complete the scene. The reason there are two potential Y-Wing pilots listed is because if they purely stick to ANH Gold Five would be the ideal choice, but I could easily see them including Gold Three to have another girl even though she didn't actually appear in the movie, like what they did with Rae Sloanne in the TIE Bomber. Regardless, if they ignore the opportunity and just throw in yet another Dutch Vander, WE RIOT. -

All of that together sounds pretty cluttered, but imo the Fertility Idol or Crystal Skull would make for amazing "helmet" sets.
