  1. Exactly. It's so open-ended that if goat's talking about something in particular there's no way of knowing what, and if it's baseless speculation it'll inevitably come true anyway. "Bad news" could mean one of our big sets (such as the unknown 1083-piece) is cancelled. It could mean the $650 set is a UCS Wokling. It could mean all the sets are good but we don't get Rex. It could mean that all the sets are good and we get Rex but he doesn't have the arm printing from TSS. It could mean that this is the worst wave of LEGO Star Wars. It could mean that this is the best wave of LEGO Star Wars but since it could hypothetically be better people will still throw a fit. If it's real it's a useless """""leak""""", and if it's fake it's an equally useless prediction.
  2. You think that's crazy, if you look at the back of 77015 one of the vignette pictures is Indy running from the boulder... with Satipo impaled in the background! That's crazy dark for a LEGO set, especially nowadays.
  3. There is no reason to believe the Indy 5 sets have been cancelled. No leakers have said the Indy 5 sets are cancelled. Stop claiming the Indy 5 sets are cancelled without evidence.
  4. Honestly to me the undersuit looks like it's pearl dark grey, the legs have a pearly sheen and it's way darker than DBG.
  5. It's actually a Rex Battle Pack. 4 Rexes
  6. Considering that the other two mechs are Original Trilogy-based, Boba will almost certainly be as well.
  7. Meanwhile, ST Fans were locked in a burning room to die via a trick wall.
  8. Home One seems fairly likely, since it can't really be anything from Yavin and I can't think of anything they could do for Empire. Either Ackbar or Mon Mothma would make great figures, though I think the latter is more likely because of Andor making her relevant again (like how getting Beru coincided with her appearance in Kenobi).
  9. Good point. The one thing I do feel comfortable in saying is that it will almost certainly be a vehicle (ship or otherwise), as the odds of getting two large SW playsets in the $100-$200 range are very unlikely. If I had to baselessly speculate though, I could see it being a Turbo Tank - either Republic or Imperial. It's a totally unique vehicle within Star Wars, and judging by past releases it seems to be one of LEGO's favorite designs from the prequels (this is the longest we've ever gone without one on shelves, they even released one during the sequel era when prequel sets were few and far between). And the piece count would make sense for a Turbo Tank if it was of similar size to the 2016 model with LEGO's modern level of detail. As for era I could see it going either way. A Republic Turbo Tank would be a great set for the Clone Wars anniversary, and be an opportunity to release Phase II Rex before MandR burns down LEGO HQ. On the other hand, an Imperial Juggernaut would tie in with Mando (not sure if it'll appear in s3 but the s2 episode with it was one of the best of the series) and would give a nice beefy Empire set and fig selection to go up against the Rebels in Yavin IV (as getting at least two, probably more Fleet Troopers with nobody to fight except Stormtrooper mechs would be a weird choice, then again this is LEGO Star Wars lol). That said, this is, again, just baseless speculation.
  10. I give up. Either you're trolling or just plain illiterate. Either way, for the sake of both this forum staying remotely on topic and my own sanity I will henceforth not be replying to or acknowledging your messages, and frankly I'd beseech everyone else to do the same.
  11. 6 minutes ago, Legofan2001 said: Okay well it could be based on the wedding scene with the priest,Anakin,padme,3po,and R2 charge like 70 dollars and make it an 18+ set 🤷‍♂️ I honestly feel like you're replying to comments without reading them. While hardcore Star Wars fans like the prequels, the average adult who is nostalgic for Star Wars (the primary audience of LEGO 18+ sets and literally the reason the 18+ branding EXISTS) remembers them as those bad movies full of bad acting and bad writing. Attack of the Clones is often considered the worst of the three, with the romance between Anakin and Padmé being considered the worst thing in the original six-film saga. (As someone who loves AotC, even I abhor those scenes.) The odds of getting any expensive collectors sets based on that romance is laughable. If we get any prequel dioramas (which will likely be based on how well the Clone helmets sell), they would almost certainly be based on Revenge of the Sith, as that is almost universally considered the best of the three films and has most of the iconic, diorama-able moments. (Also note that all of the diorama scenes thus far have been picked because of the actual scene, not the quote. In fact, several of the quotes used (especially in the non-SW dioramas) are pretty forgettable and only there to fit with the line. They aren't going to make a $70 tan balcony because it's associated with an ironic meme quote, especially when, in the highly unlikely event LEGO really wanted to make a meme diorama, "I have the high ground" is far more visually interesting.)
  12. I would view a hypothetical Petranaki Arena set in a similar fashion to a $100-plus Jurassic Park set. While the main draw is the exclusive creatures, I think the build could still pull its weight. Imo a Geonosis Arena set should primarily focus on the center area with the large portcullis and main viewing platform, with some play features sprinkled in and around. I think having a detailed centerpiece with the 3 pillars and beasts sprinkled around would make for a fantastic set in terms of both display and play at around the $150 price point and ~1000 pieces (again, Jurassic Park value).
  13. That's actually a really good idea, they could do it like the Battle of Helm's Deep and Uruk-hai Army from Lord of the Rings: A large playset with the central viewing platform, prison pillars, 3 beasts, and all of the main characters from the scene plus a couple mooks (Anakin, Obi-Wan, Padmé, Mace, Jango, Dooku, Geonosian, B1, C-3PO) and then an add-on with a section of the stands and a Geonosian cannon with, say, two Clones, two Geonosians, a B1, and a B2.
  14. Also important to remember that, beyond being nigh-universally considered the black sheep of the six "Complete Saga" films, Attack of the Clones has always been underrepresented in LEGO Star Wars. As of now there have only been 21 AOTC sets, which is less than The Force Awakens (not to mention less than 50% of any of the other Complete Saga films), and the majority of those sets have been fairly inexpensive. It getting the biggest LEGO Star Wars location set of all time by over 1000 pieces is incredibly unlikely regardless of how well (or in this case, POORLY) the source material would be suited for a model of that magnitude.
  15. Not to mention that LEGO knows they can sell more expensive sets on the virtue of having large animals (literally the entire Jurassic Park theme is that). If LEGO wanted to finally adapt the Geonosis Arena, why would they make 3 $15 sets and call it a day instead of making a $150 set with all 3 beasts and the arena?
  16. ...You could see a set with five minifigures and two large molded animals selling for $30? With all the wishlisting going on in this forum, I'll give my own "crazy idea": The unknown 1083-piece set is a UCS Dexter's Diner Booth built at Bionicle scale including 17 Phase II Rex minifigures and retailing for $12.50.
  17. Correct, but I doubt that cancelled prototypes from 15-20 years ago have much impact on what LEGO chooses to make today. We're finally getting Yavin and we'll get Geonosis someday, but LEGO has changed so much since these prototypes were made that I doubt they'll have any relation to what they would make today.
  18. My Gunship thoughts are simple: LEGO will not release a new minifig-scale LAAT until they retire the UCS set. Simply put, the two main advantages UCS sets have over other sets are size and level of detail. But a standard LAAT is already quite large, and as such a minifig-scale version would not have a major size difference (much less than most other UCS ships, at least), and to many the smaller size would be a positive attribute because of the compatibility with Clone Trooper minifigs. As for level of detail, nowadays most LSW sets have a comparable level of detail regardless of whether they are UCS, with the only impediment being the smaller size (which again, would be a lot less from a $150 Gunship vs a $350 Gunship as opposed to, say, a $30 A-Wing vs a $200 A-Wing or a $150 Falcon vs an $800 Falcon). Simply put, if LEGO released a new playscale Gunship it would in many ways be a more desirable product with minimized drawbacks, and would likely dry up sales for the UCS version almost entirely. That said, I feel like we'll see a new minifig-scale version release within a year of the UCS set being retired.
  19. Why would it be a new Bad Batch Shuttle, the old one isn't even retired???
  20. I'm going to put out my two-cents for the D2C and be done with it, since as @Kit Figsto pointed out it's very hard to think of something that both feasibly could be a 5200 piece set for $650 and is also iconic enough to fit that bill. That said, here goes: $650 Ewok Village. Firstly, it is iconic. I'd hazard to call it the most iconic location (not including barren deserts or snowy plains) in the OT after the three we've already had as MBS sets. Several major scenes in RotJ occurred there, including the final scene of the original saga. Secondly, while this rumored D2C is over double the size of the original Ewok Village, the original (while a great playset) was very scaled down and not overly detailed. If they did a similar section to the original set but at 1:1 minifig scale and with greater detail in both the trees and structures (think Ewok Village on a similar scale and level of grandiosity to the new Rivendell set), I could easily see it at 5200 pieces. Thirdly, the minifigures. An MBS set of this cost would need a hearty selection, and we know the original Ewok Village had 17. Nixing the Imperial troops and adding more Rebels and Ewoks to celebrate, a selection based purely on the ending scene could have 20+ figures with some actually valuable reprints (General Lando from the 2017 A-Wing, C-3PO from the Trash Compactor OR the UCS Landspeeder), some grHAVEt updates (Luke with the flap, Endor Dress Leia, Ackbar), Ewoks new and old (they could even recolor the baby bundle piece to be a Wokling), and, of course, this could be a golden opportunity for the LSW team to knock out the four most desired OT figures in one fell swoop: Nien Nunb and the three Force Ghosts. (This is of course presuming they've finally realized that they don't HAVE to be transparent, lmao). Oh, and bonus points for that if they make a new Wedge for Yavin IV they can also plop it in here. Fourthly, the evidence. While it being the RotJ anniversary means very little (we got two ESB sets for the ANH anniversary and a ROTJ set and an ANH anniversary), it's important to note the only 2HY minifgure that's leaked for Star Wars thus far: a Holiday Ewok. More often than not, if the exclusive Holiday figs aren't excessively era-generic (R2 or 3PO, in other words), they're almost always linked to the sets of that year. Ergo, it's very likely we do get Ewoks in some capacity later this year. With most of the sets spoken for, that leaves the MBS set and the unknown 1083-piece set. (And with Yavin already being a non-MBS playset this summer I would highly suspect the 1083-piece set to be a large ship rather than yet another playset). As to why it's not the bunker... it's not big enough even at 1:1 scale, as far fewer opportunities for interesting figs, and is just generally a boring gray trapezoid (Not a bad thing, just not worth $650). Also that scene basically requires an AT-ST, and I doubt they'd throw one in here while the Hoth version is still warming shelves. That said, I take full license to be wrong on this. See y'all in five months when LEGO reveals the new UCS Yoda's Escape Pod for $650.
  21. I doubt it'll be a Death Star II, but considering the primitive level of detail in the greebling on the original I could easily see LEGO burning through at least a thousand more pieces on that alone. That said, I still don't think it'll be that because the awful PPP heavily implies a lot of minifigs, and a display DS2 wouldn't fit that bill.
  22. At that point is it even a Geonosis Arena? If you have to include every scene that takes place on the planet to stretch it to $650, maybe it's a sign that it just shouldn't be $650 (especially considering that the main thing people want is the three beasts, not the arena build itself).
  23. Firstly, awful PPP is the norm for LEGO Star Wars, not an exception. Have you forgotten that Yavin is 1000 pieces for $160? If it's an MBS with 20 or so minifigs, the PPP fits in line with past sets (2016 Death Star was 4016 for $500, 2020 Cantina is 3187 for $400). Any big MBS playset with 5200 pieces could be $650. Secondly, a Geonosis Arena for $650 would make no sense, it's 3 big animals with an arena backdrop and some columns for prisoners. A playset of $150-$200 would make much more sense, especially considering that a D2C display model would be obliged to at least somewhat adequately fill the stands of the arena, whereas a playset would both have much less space to fill and have no such obligation to fill it adequately. Thirdly, we already KNOW it can't be a Sail Barge (so I'd really appreciate if people could stop bringing it up). All the leaked survey sets were shown in their current states at the time the survey was made. We know this because the sets we know 100% are coming very soon (Rivendell and Snow White) were complete and fully decorated, while sets we know aren't coming until 2024 at least (Barad-dur and the HP D2Cs) were in earlier stages. With that said, the leaked Sail Barge was in an incredibly primitive state, and therefore there's no way they could have a model finished up by this September to release. It's not the Sail Barge, full stop.
  24. Not sure how hot of a take this is, but after seeing the figure I think Indy would've looked a lot better with the new warm tan color for his skin tone. He does look too pale here.
